Is that so? I'm pretty sure being timed with a left hook is part of the art of boxing. If you get knocked out by being timed, you have been both outboxed and KO'd. Whatever you think of the Peterson decision, he also outboxed Khan on the inside.
I understand what he is trying to say but really it makes no sense.
Khan needs to realise boxing isn't just running around the ring at speed. You can be outboxed in many ways, one of them being flattened by a left hook counter.
Khan is not a very skilled fighter.
People still mistake his speed for skill. He has speed and a good jab when he remembers to use it, but that's about it. Hid defensive work is poor, he still has no answer for a left hook, he can be timed and he can't take a shot.
Garcia showed that timing beats his speed and Garcia is far from a master boxer.
Thank you. End thread right here.
amir khans' real problem is his footwork is so predictable and linear. he literally has zero chance at beating floyd, even this aged fighter. he doesnt have the intelligence or the skill. his speed wont count for **** because by round three, he will be timed and smacked all fight.

No, but he has been dominated so it doesn't need to go to the score cards = outboxed.
By the way i am not a Khan hater, i love watching his fights, always some excitement because you never know what's going to happen. I still do feel Peterson beat him, it was close and i wouldn't complain either way. I just feel Peterson dragged him into his own game and outboxed him on the inside.
So for him to say he's never been outboxed is a bit rich. He does have a decision loss on his record, even if it was close.
Right. I had Khan winning 7 rounds to 5 in that fight, but it was close and Peterson's not on Mayweather's level. Khan's not a master boxer or boxing genius.
I agree but you can say he's never been dominated on the scorecards

when people talk about "boxing" on this forum they truely only consider fighting on the outside/outboxing/outside fighters
example, like an inside fighter isn't a boxer and his moves aren't part of boxing, if an inside fighter does good it's because he outfought a guy and that's it, the name of the game is "boxing" as they say, idiots
