So because somebody predicted that the bookies favourite would win, they are all of a sudden boxing gods and are much more credible people?
Sin is clearly a cock fiddler.
The referee said the same thing to Mayweather and Hatton camps. When he made the comment of "I'll look to let the fight take it's course" it was in reply to a Billy Graham question.
Hatton is always fired up like this before a fight.
It just hasn't been aswell publicised as this - plus Hatton is more fired up for this than any other.
He's always in his room warming up, with his mates cheering him on about an hour before the fight with music blaring out to get pumped up, where as most fighters relax and lie down. Hatton is a caged animal.
He looks fucking ripped too. I have every confidence in Hatton being able to control his aggression come fight night, but he has intimidated Floyd, not the other way round.
So you'd rather get your ass beat and be unhealthy so people can like you then be considered the best while taking minimial punishment...If this is true then you're Top Level Idiot who suffers from insecurity problems....next question...r u fucking serious...when did it become cool to get your ass beat?
He got beat by the best in the world. So what?
Also, how do you come to the conclusion he is unhealthy? He's in better shape than most average people even when not in training. Idiot.
I'm sorry fool, but ballooning between fights, having scar tissue all over your face, and taking alot of punches to the head is not healthy.....Just because he has muscles on fightnight doesn't mean he's healthy.....By the way not everyone dislikes Mayweather, thats mostly just white people who dislike him..its more of a culture thing than anything else because the fact of the matter is, Mayweather is a good person. And he's the best...don't u notice the man never gets in trouble with the law and he spreads a good message of hardwork and determination? I'd rather be like Mayweather. Rich and disliked, because you guys are morons anyways, u like losers.
Who cares if FIghters that can't beat him don't like him? And why do u people have such a need to be liked and loved...u guys must be highschoolers, if ur not in highschool leave that little kid I want everyone to like me shit at home, be a man handle your business and take care of your kids.....everything else your saying has no bearing on a confident man. It just shows your insecurity.
'High schooler'?. I'm a full time 19 year old employee earning £300 a week.
Nobody here is doubting Mayweather symbolises hard work and determination... but Hatton symbolises that too. Guess what, this is fighting, fighters will get hurt, they will get in wars and they will get scar tissue. Hatton is muscular and very fit. He is a world class athlete, how is he not healthy?
Yes, he likes to enjoy his life while he can. He lives everyday like it could be his last. That should be admired. When by the way, has Hatton ever got in trouble with the law? He always does charity work, always has time to sign autographs, ALWAYS speaks respectful to people and be's himself.
You are acting childish here, insisting that every black person likes Mayweather, and that every white person likes Hatton?
Every Black man doesn't like Mayweather and every white man doesn't necessarily like Hatton but in the ol U.S.A most people pick their favorite boxers by race....especially in the Latino community....U can't see this for yourself? I don't sugar coat things, thats just the way it is....Go and back and review the tape of 24/7 both when Floyd fough Oscar and when He fought Hatton. I don't support that but it is the way it is....also Hatton is not fit ...Hatton gets in shape for fights, but he doesn't walk around like that, he walks around like a fat ass....and Boxing shouldn't be judged like other sports because it's based on individuals.....Great Boxers at the top of their game don't get hit alot.....if u don't find that entertaining oh well......it still is what it is...and who cares how much u make everyweek, we're talking about Boxing....ur sounding like Money Mayweather now
You are trying to discredit peoples opinions by calling them 'high schoolers'. I told you i wasn't, that's why. I'm happy to talk boxing, but you are showing your ignorance here.
Hatton doesn't walk around 'like a fat ass'. At times he has put on a little too much weight but he is always on target for fights - and it's not done him any harm so far. I guess you have the same opinion when it comes to Roberto Duran do you? Great boxers at the top of their game do get hit, nobody here by the way is proclaiming Hatton to be the greatest of all time. He does get hit alot, but he also dishes it out. It's called fighting.
Perhaps you should learn to appreciate men like Hatton who lay it all on the line to provide entertainment for millions worldwide.
No, what I mean by convenience is that it's convenient that the only people or majority of people complaining are British fans, who'd be expected to do just that. If the criticism was more universal would you not concede that it would hold more merit?
Lots of Americans are unhappy with Cortez's performance (as seen on this forum). Also, being a regular visiter of the Cotto forum, i know the Ricans are shocked at his performance. It's not just the British.
Cortez is being ignorant in that respect, and also ignorant in regards to European officiating.
This is how a viewed it (round times)
2:15 (Unncessary break)
2:02 (Unnecessary break)
1:56 (Unnecessary break)
1:40 (Mayweather holding Ricky's arm and following it up with a forearm smash)
1:26 (Mayweather hugs Hatton after landing a right hand)
1:07 (Mayweather attempts a rabbit punch - warned)
:59 (Hatton about to unload and Cortez steps in)
:36 (Forearm by Mayweather)
:25 (Mayweather holds Hatton after he gets close)
:01 (Hatton holds Mayweathers arm)
This sort of thing went on for the majority of the fight.
Oh, and that picture is not from the third round, where the cut was opened.
This is really getting sad.:nonono:
At what point did i say Hatton was cut by the elbow in the picture?
I really cannot understand how anyone can argue with the point deduction, it was a deliberate attempt by Hatton to hit Floyd in the head after being warned twice.
Why wasn't Mayweather warned about turning away and ducking out of the ropes? Hatton had his right arm free, and his left arm was being held by Mayweather as he ducked, turned around and stuck his head out of the ropes. Hatton followed that up with the punch, resulting in a deduction.
Exactly. Cortez was splitting them for holding before any holding even took place. He is the Minority Report Ref.
Spot on. I would be totally on board if Cortez split them after 10 seconds or so with no punches thrown. But in the few seconds they were allowed to get close, punches were thrown and both fighters looking for gaps - and as stated before, noticed Hatton's apparent fouls, but largely ignored Mayweathers elbows/forearms (and in a fair few cases, holding the arms of Ricky, as seen in the pic).
Here, by the way, is the link to Cortez's comments.
http://www.primerahora.com/noticia/boxeo/accion_deportiva/los_que_me_critican___son_los_britanicos/137132
It's in Spanish but i'm told when translated it basically translates to what was said in the first post.
I cannot believe you tried to use that picture as evidence of unfair refereeing.
First of all, FLoyds forearm/elbow are not making contact with Hatton's face, and that arm was pushed to the position it is in, no elbows were thrown.
I urge you to watch the fight again. Mayweather didn't 'throw elbows', but he slid them in, sometimes elbows, sometimes forearms. It's still fouling.
How do you come to the conclusion that Hatton's arm is 'pushed there' when Floyd is grabbing it?
Haye is nothing like Audley.
He has more power, more speed, perhaps more skill and above all...
Desire, heart, determination... Once he moves up to heavyweight he'll have the work rate aswell...
Not sure if you are serious... but Haye would have stopped Abdoul if he wanted to. He admitted after the fight that he limited himself to 3 left hands (or was it right hands?) per round. He wanted to win the fight and go the full 12 to shut people up about his stamina.
If Haye wanted to have stopped Abdoul, he would have done... very easily...
This thread, filled with replies from ignorant American teenage 'fans' has reminded me why i stopped coming to this forum.
I won't even begin to argue against some of the idiocy here, i'll leave it to you piggy.
Bye.
They can hardly turn around and say "Well as you have just heard Ricky doesn't give a shit and neither do we so enjoy the rest of this press conference and if you don't like the language you can fuck off."
That would have been great, i got sick of hearing 'Sorry' from em.
Also, Dios... just how blinkered are you?
You are saying Hatton is classless for swearing like that, whilst at the same time bigging up Floyd for his 'professionalism' in his home town and that he hasn't been swearing.
You must of missed him sticking his fingers up for 10 seconds on live television eh?
Fuck it. I just can't resist the urge to educate the uneducated...
why the hell did u even post....?? no body care for your opinion if u just gunna RUN out the threads.... SMH... at u mid evil horse back riding no intelligent boxing head ass
First of all. You are calling me unintelligant when you are writing like a spastic? What does 'SMH' mean?
Why is it that, when confronted with FACTS, you guys revert to "let's not discuss that".
Hatton said today that he feels that they should have fought already. Who in the hell turned down the fights? Please tell me.
I guess to your way of thinking, hysteria = fact.
Hatton has been ready style wise for Mayweather for a long time, it's always been a matter of building his character/popularity in the United States so that the fight makes more money. Simple.
Got f*ck all to do with fighters ducking, not taking fights, etc...
If you want to talk about it that way we could easily say that Mayweather went up in weight to avoid Hatton...
There are two sides to the coin...
I appreciate exciting fights but also tactical fights from boxing magicians.
What Ricky has been saying recently, alot of it has been tongue in cheek and to get Mayweather in the ring, in the past i know he has spoken of Willie Pep very highly.
It all comes down to personal preference.
There is no reason why Floyd can't accept a $12million offer to fight in England at Wembley or the City stadium... Hatton will probably sell out the 90, 000 seater Wembley stadium. Floyd will bring about 5% of the crowd, if that...
Hobson should offer that... take it or leave it... then we'll see who's ducking who...
So why did hatton tell us he wants to fight in the US and fight the best?
You know What Hobson's offer must be bullshit, Hatton is free from him now i think, so i think this may be an attempt to keep hatton with him?
Seriously, if mayweather goes to the Uk, he is beyond criticism, and i would give hatton a real chance of beating him, i give him chance anyways, but he has more chance in the UK.
He went to America. He topped bills, he's fought in Vegas and knocked down a man who has never stayed down before.
I think he deserves a chance to fight in his own country. It's Mayweather who needs to move out of the comfort zone here to get maximum respect.
That's bullshit. The point of Hatton going to America was to raise his stock so that he can make more money. Now he has done that and anyone who calls a $10M offer ducking needs to pull their head out their arse.
Exactly. The offer from Hatton's camp is made, Floyd's 2nd highest purse bid... and apparently HE is the ducker?
You 'Hatton haters' seriously need a f*cking wakeup call.
Let's just put it this way, Floyd has now offered Hatton fights on 4 different occasions, one of them even being in England.
Ricky has declined them all.
Whatever you're on is an illegal substance. Expect a visit from the old bill shortly.
