1. Juan Manuel Marquez
2. Eric Morales
3. Marco Antonio Barrera
4. Mikey García
5. Julio Cesar Chavez
Mikey Garcia got dropped heavily in his 15th fight by a guy named Walter Estrada and only eked out a win by a single point on two of the judge's cards. Estrada was coming off a stoppage loss to Kevin Mitchell.
And when Mikey fought Salido the previous year to Loma fighting Salido they both weighed about the same, Salido didn't have an 11 pound weight advantage on him. You think a 1-0 Mikey who nearly lost to a much lesser fighter than Salido in his 15th fight is beating an 11 pound heavier Salido in his 2nd fight??
Back when Garcia was 14-0 in October of 2008, he faced left-hander Walter Estrada and, if you recall, he hit the deck against the seasoned
veteran in winning a close, unanimous decision.
"Yeah, he did; Walter Estrada from Colombia dropped him with a straight left hand and actually, when he hit him, a lot of people thought the fight was over," remembered Dunkin.
"He hit him completely solid; it was amazing how Mikey got up. Didn’t even wobble, he jumped right up and moved around and had himself together. It sounded like the fight was over when he hit him. It just showed what a tremendous chin Mikey
has."
Goodman’s recollection of the fight was, "I believe it was the first fight that he’s fought as a pro against a southpaw. Got hit with a real good shot. I mean, walked straight into it and to Mikey’s credit, he got up. I believe he did win the fight; I don’t think there was any controversy. I thought he won fair and square. To me, he showed a good chin. He was real composed right after the knockdown. He didn’t get rattled or anything. It was some kind of adversity that he did face and he came through with flying colors, as far as I’m concerned."
Part of the process in developing a fighter is seeing how they deal with rough waters. Garcia says he came out of that fight a better man.
"I think I’ve learned from the Estrada fight and the previous fights enough to feel more mature," said Garcia, who’s record stands at 22-0 with 18 stoppages. "I went into that fight with like 14 fights or something and Estrada, he was like 36-6 at
the time. So it was a bit of an advantage on the experience level. This time, I think I’ve grown a little more and had a few more fights were I’ve learned from the fight and I am a bit more mature and a little more experienced."
Lomachenko said Campbell has big power lol
Well he's not the only world class professional fighter to say that
Aside from being way bigger and longer than Loma, like at least 10lbs heavier and with a massive 5.5'' reach advantage over him, and physically bigger and stronger since he teamed up with Shane McGuigan who specifically worked on that. Teofimo who has sparred Campbell speaks very highly of him

Shane McGuigan
“Luke is freak for the weight. He’s massive for a lightweight. He’s 139 right now three days out for this fight coming up. Luke is a lovely guy who’s very easy to work with. He has that Olympic pedigree and he’s sitting down more on his punches. If we were to fight Linares again, I’m very confident we could beat him.
“We’ve changed a lot of things. Luke, I thought, was doing too much sparring. We’re building his strength. But we have options. We could aim for Devin Haney, we could aim for Teofimo Lopez, who Luke has fought before in the gym, and dropped him as well. We’ll sit here patiently waiting and see what happens.''
Teofimo's dad didn't deny that Campbell had floored his son when I taunted him about it on Youtube
These punches look pretty hard to me and numerous actual professional fighters who've shared a ring with him confirm that

no the part you're missing is you're simply not able to rehydrate as much when you're coming up from 126 and only have 24 hours to rehydrate and he still managed to add 13 pounds overnight. Coming from 135 he's at least adding 10 pounds, he not as small as you want to pretend he is.
I don't have to pretend. Just because he rehydrated 12.5lbs once down at 126 doesn't mean he's doing the same at 135. So by that logic he should've been coming in at 142.5lbs when he was campaigning at 130, right? Except that didn't happen. He was coming in at 137-138 at that weight and 139lbs once. This really isn't complicated.
Featherweight
Loma 129 - Ramirez 135
Loma 136 - Salido 147
Loma 138½ - Russell 138
Loma 134 - Koasicha 133

Loma 132 - Piriyapinyo 137

Loma 139 - Sosa 142
Loma 137 - Martinez 144

Lightweight
Loma 138 - Linares. Judging from his previous ring weights he would've been 146-147
Loma 138 - Pedraza 147-148 as per a member of his camp
Crolla would've bare minimum had a 7-8lb advantage
And Campbell would've had at least a 10lbs advantage going by the weight Shane McGuigan said he would come in at
you have no proof to back up your claims and your claims don't mak any sense. you actually sat here and guessed that linares rehydrated to 146 - 147 when his own trainer said he rehydrated to 144 - 145. So i wouldnt be expecting you to tell the truth when it comes to lomachenkos rehydration at 135 being only 3 pounds which just sounds stupid.
I was going by Linares previous fight night weights. Some say he weighed 152 against Loma but I didn't go with that because I'd rather stick with the official average weights of his previous fights. He weighed 145.8 against Campbell and 146 against Arakawa. I did not make that up.
So why did Loma come in at between 137-139lbs max at 130 and not 142.5 if he was supposed to be rehydrating 12.5lbs?
Again, I make perfect sense, not my fault you're too stupid to comprehend it
I will say this for the last time, we are not talking about amateur fights we are talking about World Series of Boxing fights which were not much different than pro fights so you explaining the amateur system to me was pointless. He weighed in at 135 for those fights and they were technically at light welterweight because WSB light welterweight division is anything under 141. Their lightweight division is anything under 132. I never said he fought at lightweight in the WSB i said he weighed in at 135
There is no featherweight division in the WSB either because they scrapped that too.
If someone is regularly giving away 7-8lbs bare minimum (as much as 10lbs sometimes if not more), 2-5.5'' in reach and would be giving away as much as 15-16lbs against the biggest fighters at that weight are they facing bigger guys are not, yes or no?
If many of the champions at the weight division below weigh/weighed more than you on fight night are you small or big for your division?
Sosa weighed 142, Loma 139 so how in god's name is Loma the bigger man?
And I'm the one who doesn't make any sense? lol
Marriaga who fought Loma at 130 weighed 135 down at featherweight against Walters who had 10lbs on him, Loma weighed 137-138 for all but one of his fights at 130 and Marriaga said himself he bulked up a little
Your point is invalid, Kell Brook had one of the shortest reaches at welterweight and he was clearly the biggest welterweight at the time. Lomachenko is not giving up 7-8 pounds to anyone. Linares and his coach said after the fight at the press conference that Linares only rehydrated to 145. You said it yourself that basing it off past fights lomachenko most likely rehydrated to 146 - 147
No it isn't.
You didn't answer my question. If someone is regularly facing opponents who have at least 7-8lbs on him, as much as 10lbs if not more, regularly giving away between 2-5.5'' in reach, and would be giving away as much as 15-16lbs against the biggest fighters at the weight are they facing bigger fighters or not, yes or no? It's really very simple indeed?
I have screen shots of most of Loma's HBO tale of the tape graphics I don't just make **** up
No I did not. I said Linares would've weighed about that much judging from his previous fight night weights which I also have graphics of, Loma has never come in as high 140 as far as I'm aware. According to him he's still coming in about 138-139
btw lomachenko was coming into the fight with gary russell junior at 138 coming up from 125.5 so how the hell do you assume he's coming in at 138 from 135? that's nuts
see for yourself https://imgur.com/a/uVcupU4
I don't need to see I already know all this. In fact, I already told you it myself lol
And no it isn't nuts. He's just not as big as you're trying to make out and he doesn't need to rehydrate as much in this third division as he did for some of the ones he did in his first. Not rocket science
The featherweight division was scrapped from amateur boxing so how exactly is someone supposed to compete in a weight class which doesn't exist?
Lightweight in the amateurs is 132 not 135 and he weighed 129 in the ring for his pro debut which is 3lbs under the amateur lightweight limit and 3lbs over the pro featherweight limit. He bulked up a little after than but he still weighs pretty much the same as he did for just under half of his fights at 126 and all his fights at 130 and is usually the one giving away a significant amount of weigh, reach or often both or at worst weighs roughly the same as his opponent

Even Gamboa who is a blown up 130 pounder has about 7-8lbs on Loma, the bigger lightweights like Commey are coming in as high as 153-154.
But to add some more perspective. Berchelt who has come in as high as 146 at super-feather, Tank who was coming in about 141-142 down at super-feather and weighed 146 for his official lightweight debut, and some of the other recent champions down at super-featherweight weigh/weighed more at that weight in the ring than Loma does up at lightweight

Kigali on Lomachenko vs Russell
Kigali said: ↑
@ Russell being a punching bag..
You are in for a cold shock.
Russell hardly gets toughed and has excellent footwork...
Lomo...on the other hand...gets him plenty...falls into clinches..and is too up-right.
Kigali said:
It will be the end of Lomenchenko.

He (Lomachenko) also blinds himself with his own gloves.
There are too many pros that can and will punch around that sh*t.
If they put that in with Russell Jr I will laugh my as.s off.
He'd be a highlight reel KO victim.

No way in hell do that put that sh*t in the ring with Russell Jr.

Broner vs Maidana

Maidana is new and improved NOW...but soon as Broner f**ks him up he'll suddenly become a scrub that couldn't beat alexander......:yep

Can Broner take a power punch that Maidana and Matthysse possess? Or would these fights just consist of mouse and cat games?

Can they land a power punch on Broner.???
:patsch

Let me guess, you think Static stationary Broner will be too fast and slick for Maidana to land any shots?, bet you think Broner vs Maidana is a mismatch
Anonymous said:
You (Kigali) underrate Maidana, its OK. The Devon fight was his worst performance, out of shape, no trainer as his Trainer got sick a month before the fight and Devon still had to break the World record for Clinches started in a Pro Boxing match.
Maidana was that bad in that fight i thought he was finished and would retire, embarrassing performance, **** fight as well because of Devon's tactics.
Maidana under Garcia is a better fighter, uses the jab to set up his power shots and throws straighter punches down the middle instead of the looping over hand rights he used to throw. he would give Devon a much better fight these days but Devon is still a nightmare match up for him style wise.
Kigali said:
Broner would put a beating on him something terrible..It would be Demarco Pt II..

You'll be throwing away your money..
Broner will make Garcia throw another towel in the ring...:deal
Anonymous said:
I think you are overrating broner's footwork, defense and power, Maidana has a good chance vs Broner as Broner isn't that active and has 30 second lapses where he just covers up without even moving allowing maidana chances to go to the body which could open up the head. I think maidana stops him.
One of us will be badly wrong.
Kigali said:
You watch fights but you don't pay attention
Broner has many subtleties in his game for such a young fighter that go un-noticed....as in your case.
Who beside's Floyd has better D at 147 than Broner?????????????
Ya'll act like Broner is Brandon Rios or some shi.t like that.
Broner slips...parries...rolls..and ducks punches with the best of them....plus he has excellent AWARENESS in the ring.
Just because he doesn't use excessive movement doesn't mean he is flat footed..:deal
He's so good people make a big deal everytime he is touched..:yep
One thing's for sure....he doesn't get hit with anything stupid.

''He’s better off at 130 or 126,” Lopez told BoxingScene.com. “I think that 135 is too heavy for him. I think that he’s too sluggish at 135. But let’s see, man. Let’s see what this whole one-year rest does for him.
“I’m a big 135 pounder. I can be fighting at 140 right now. I’m very comfortable at this weight. Everything that this man does do that they say, he’s decreasing. I’m not even in my prime yet and I’m out here just outdoing guys. He’s on his way out, and it’s showing. Your body can only take so much damage, and I guarantee you we’re going to put some damage on this man.”
“He’s on the way out of the sport and 135 is just too big ,” the Honduran-American said.
Lomachenko, 32, started his career in 2013 as a 126-pounder. Lopez, 23, has fought at 135 since he turned pro in 2016.
''I think that he's on his way out. I really do believe that and 135 is just too much of a big weight class for him''
''If you look at the Luke Campbell fight, you can see there is just a lot of wear-and-tear on his body.
“I look at it like this—maybe this whole COVID-19 year helped him out. Maybe he needed it. That way he can probably at least hang in there a little bit with me. It’s going to be a great fight. I just look at the facts. You see a fighter who has gone up in weight class. Sometimes they go up too much where their body isn’t used to it, or the weight class is too big for them.''
“This man has had over 400 fights. I have over 150 fights. I’m 23. I’m going to tell you this, when I get to camp, oh man, my body aches sometimes. If I’m 23 and dealing with stuff at this age, I can only imagine what he must be going through at 32 with over 400 fights.”
''I'm not going to have a 126 pounder come out here and try and take over on me. I'm a big guy''
“A lot of people talk very highly about him. But if you look at it, there were so many mistakes he made against Luke Campbell. Loma tries too hard to make everybody think he can still do it, even though he’s 32 years old.

Andre Ward
''My last two opponents outweighed me by about 8-10lbs on fight night. Edwin Rodriguez was over 190.. like 192, 193. Paul Smith was 192, 193''
So how much did Ward's weigh for those two fights if Rodriguez who he fought in November 2013 and Smith weighed 192-193 and he says they outweighed him by 8-10lb?
Paul Smith tried to negotiate a catchweight of 170 but Ward and his team wouldn't have any of it.
Andre Ward
''I'm disappointed with Paul," he told Sky Sports News HQ. "I heard last night that as of yesterday morning he was eight pounds over. You've got to realize in negotiations, my team said 172 and he fought to have it at 170. And he comes in four pounds overweight. It's very unprofessional.''
Andre Ward
''Problem is Floyd doesn't get tired and we've seen Canelo fade in fights before.. Having to take off that extra two pounds is.. people think it's just two pounds, but when you already struggling to make 154, that extra two pounds is a lot. He is going to put on a lot of weight but he's not going to be able to put on the right kind of weight in just 24 hours. So he's gonna feel the fact that he's, you know, stripped his body, cutting his muscles to get to 152.''
Ward is now saying it's not easy for him to make 175 despite him only having moved up to that weight just six months ago.
Ward weighed 186 for Barrera. Kovalev has only weighed over 186 in the ring a few times and that was Ward's first fight at full light-heavyweight.
Kovalev 181 - Sillakh 185
Kovalev 183 - Agnew 187

2007 Andre Ward interview
'GM: How long do feel you will fight at this weight?
AW: I’m not having any trouble with it. I have to be conscious of what I am eating. I mean I always have been. The last week we have to watch carefully. Nothing too strenuous. I feel I won’t be here too long. I walk around 180. I can get to 185 if I stopped training but I rarely do. I’m walking around 180; to some people they say ‘Oh you should fight at 160.’ But I’m not going to kill myself to make 160. If you know how to fight, if you know how to box, a guy can be bigger than you and it’s not a problem. I’ve been doing this long enough to where I know how to offset that.
'GM: If you had a choice between a long title run at one weight class or being a multi-division champion who has a couple fights, picks up a belt and moves on to the next weight class, what would you choose?
AW: That’s hard to say. Time will tell but if I had to say I’d say move up in weight. I kind of like that scenario. I kind of like winning a few times and then moving up and meeting a new challenge. I think it’s healthy for the body as you get older and I think it helps. I look at what Bernard did it’s unbelievable but how much damage did he do trying to make that weight year after year after year? Then he goes up to 175 and looks like Superman physically and even performance wise because his body was craving ‘Just feed me. Just let me fill out. Let me grow.’ And he finally did and I think it showed. I don’t want to stay at one weight class forever when I know deep down I should move up.
So how much did Ward weigh when he fought Edwin Rodriguez in late 2013 when he was still at 168?
