Oscar opened golden boy for Latinos primarily. Name famous black or white fighters that make him loot.
I read this quote in another thread where someone asked why Floyd was only looking out for the Black Olympians (Shakur Stevenson) and not the others. Link
Oscar De La Hoya also recently spoke well about a particular Olympian named Balderas, a fellow Latino.
A blind man could see what's really going on here. Both of these promoters are trying their best to sign these kids as soon as they're finished with the Olympics. A smart move indeed.
But what about the rest of the Mayweather Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions stables; it is true that the majority signed to M. Promotions are black and the majority signed to GB Promotions are Latino.
What about Top Rank, he has a solid mix of fighters, the lot of them being from foreign countries.
Al Haymon is another one, despite not being a "promoter", whose majority of fighters are black. While he does have a decent amount of non-blacks, he uses them primarily to build up his black fighters who appear to be his priority.
Do you think this is a trend that is only natural in its course? Or do you believe it's a negative trend that should be broken? Or do you believe it's not a trend at all, and that these fighters sign to whomever they think is best for them regardless of race?
Haymom has the most diverse stable of boxers around.
Yes, a tactic done on purpose.
He uses his non-black fighters as stepping stones for his favored African American fighters.

why would dlh sign latino fighers, because hes in california and speaks spanish?
how is this chit racist.

You just couldn't help yourself did you?
I guess Haymon signed Derevyanchenko and Beterbiev to make Jacobs and Stevenson look better huh?

Most promoters would probably try to sign the boxers who would make them the most money regardless of race. Mexican boxers might tend to trust Oscar and go with him because he was a very successful Mexican boxer. Mayweather is already rich and doesn't really need money. He can go all out to help black boxers succeed and there is nothing wrong with that.
You enter the market doing what you do and know best. Once you're an established brand, fighters of other nationalities will join you after seeing the success you've had with your current roster.
Promoters only see one color--- green
How many white Jewish guys does Bob arum have in his fighter stable currently
Haymon has a lot of Latinos and whites under him..
It's all about the cash
Golden boy had: Thurman, broner, Jacobs, wilder, a Charlo, etc.
How many Jewish guys does bob arum have signed?
They only had them because Al Haymon was running the show along with his pal Richard Schaefer. Now that neither are involved they all left.
Arum's stable is particularly diverse. He does have a lot of foreign white talent though which is not a bad thing.
There's nothing wrong with supporting fighters of your own nationality. It's also easier to earn their trust and built rapport if you have something in common.
Personally, I think your point is relatively weak. All the promoters have fighters of different nationalities. And saying that Haymon uses non-blacks to build his black fighters is not fair. I have not observed Haymon disrespect any of his guys in favor of someone of a different race.
