That man very easily could have won all of those fights. Canelo and Williams robbed him IMO and Hurd only scraped it on a knockdown. Lara is really something else. So underrated, seems to be a nightmare to deal with for everyone. Slippery southpaw with great foot movement and excellent straight punching, probably the best of current fighters at moving. Maybe Ioka has a shout as that too. Regardless. I'm always impressed with how he's adapted that classic Cuban amateur style to the pros. How would you rate him talent wise? I think it's a shame he won't be remembered as one of history's possible #1 p4p fighters in his era.

It'd decide the next WBO mandatory at 160 after Liam Williams. Of course Munguia thinks he'll get the Canelo fight before then but he's gonna be sorely disappointed there I reckon. How'd you see this one going? Islam looked meh against Kautonwonda but Munguia is very flawed and had to rob Dennis Hogan to remain undefeated. It's a real tossup for me, I'm glad that it'd likely be a fun fight with a lovely KO waiting to come out of it.

When will the WBC call this one? What's their time limit on making mandatories wait? This fight has potential to be FOTY if and when it happens and I want to see Gary do more than have one fight a year, it's pathetic that he doesn't as a world champ tbh. It could technically be called a unification too and is a big enough fight to justify GRJ chasing it but he hasn't said a peep, is he ducking?

This is a fight that I'd really like to see, I do have a personal stake in Hogan winning this and I have a feeling he can pull it off again. This will be a cracking bout. It'll be lined up for the Munguia-Alottey or Haney-Abdullaev card and you can expect a tough fight fight for both involved. The fall has been providing way better and more competitive matchups so far, I was afraid with the summer we were having the rest of this year would go down as a bit of a flop in that respect.

Nothing was really on today so I tuned into Kazakh TV to watch Kanat Islam vs Julio De Jesus. Three whole hours of undercard which wasn't that great. Final matchup. One punch knockout. Incredible.

Mind you there's Ricardo Finito Lopez and (debatably) Rosendo Alvarez to contend with

The top 8 of this division is clear cut and competitive; Estrada, Sor Rungvisai, Ioka, Nietes, Chocolatito, Yafai, Ancajas and Moloney. Backups could be Barrios, Dumezweni, Palicte, Fransisco Rodriguez, Yaegashi or Buthelezi. It'd be relatively cheap compared to other divisions but the possible money to be made out of matching up all these big names in a tournament could really help curry favour among promoters to try to set this up. I don't know, what's the possibility you think this happens next year? 50/50? 20/80? 100/0? (hopefully).

Beyond the combined dirty rabbit punch but worse elbow incident, followed by the further maddening incompetence of Robert Byrd to fail to stop the fight after Glowacki had already suffered a knockdown and went down again after a total 30 seconds of action after the bell. Pretty much out on his feet at this point, he then gets knocked out quickly next round. Insanity. I know this is a tournament and it's difficult but set up this lone fight again on another card to rectify this ridiculous affair. Shouldn't be allowed to call this a proper sanctioned bout of boxing. WBSS will take a massive hit in my estimations if they don't do this. The WBO... They're already ****ed.
