Glowacki-Briedis fight should be declared a no contest without a shadow of a doubt

Beyond the combined dirty rabbit punch but worse elbow incident, followed by the further maddening incompetence of Robert Byrd to fail to stop the fight after Glowacki had already suffered a knockdown and went down again after a total 30 seconds of action after the bell. Pretty much out on his feet at this point, he then gets knocked out quickly next round. Insanity. I know this is a tournament and it's difficult but set up this lone fight again on another card to rectify this ridiculous affair. Shouldn't be allowed to call this a proper sanctioned bout of boxing. WBSS will take a massive hit in my estimations if they don't do this. The WBO... They're already ****ed.

It should have been NC but boxing is corrupted so it is what it is.

I was actually disgusted watching it. Glowacki gets elbowed in the face and literally never recovers from it. Robery Byrd counts Glowacki 30 SECONDS AFTER THE ROUND HAS ENDED. One of the most absurd things I've ever seen.

The long round was a problem but after watching the replay more than just a couple times, I believe Glowacki was given sufficient time to recover from the elbow. If you haven’t watched the replay, with a cooler day after perspective, do so.

The elbow got dealt with at the time. If Glowacki was badly hurt he could have stayed down and might have won a DQ. But he fought on - so it's a non issue in terms of a NC. Fighting beyond the bell was a bigger problem but, as said before, it happens. It was a farce but it won't be changed to a NC. The only thing that will happen is Byrd won't be refereeing again.

I don’t blame Briedis for throwing the elbow, seemed like a natural reaction to having just been punched in the back of the head and having the offender still standing there. I don’t even blame Byrd for not ruling on it. Glowacki ‘s strange delayed reaction looked contrived. I’m not claiming it was faked but the only way I would have known that was by watching the replay. Byrd is still one of the best refs working today, imo.

I think they have to on record but the finals will go on That was a mess of a fight I guess the final could go ahead but a rematch would have to be mandated by the WBO at the very least. That was simply too much to get away with.

It should be declared THE FIGHT OF THE ****ING YEAR!!!!!!!! Yeah I quite enjoyed that one not gonna lie it was very entertaining. The whole card was entertaining apart from Tabiti, he's awful, glad he got sparked at the end. Feel like it'll shatter him, he got exposed as a bit of a boring hyped fraud and looked afraid of Dorticos.

Because the show must go on...... You do realise the finals wouldn't be organised for a good while from now, it'd also perhaps be worth postponing them slightly to fix this mess. Let's face it, it was too damn chaotic and unfair to let it slide. Damn entertaining, but **** that was controversial.
