Francis has a good chin. Whether or not it's as good as Andy's chin was, I don't know. Andy walked right through some of Joshua's best and countered him. Joshua is going to land some bombs, I feel certain. I'm not certain if Ngannou will be able to fire right back.
Those are all fair points, if AJ can't hurt Francis, or doesn't have the energy to keep him off of him, he is in BIG trouble.
1. AJ is mentally fragile
2. When AJ gets swarmed, he falls apart.
3. AJ is a stiff bodybuilder robot who doesn't move well.
How AJ will react to a man stronger than him that is putting pressure on him will be the entire fight.
No it isn't, go take a physics class.
I am a kinesiologist and prosthetist. The physics of the human body is my money. You can double down and throw at me all the goofy sports "science" and stats you've learned over the years but I'm coming from actual medical science not some goofy dojo or whatever that measures a kinetic reading using an electronic devices that can only actually measure acceleration. ... ... ... for absolutely no reason.
Maybe I'm projecting but **** it, I am going to head off the "i've seen a punch machine" sort of responses anyway.
Why would you convert a physical action into an electric unit than use acceleration to get an estimate on the power, that is work over time, when, in fact, all you need is a weight, a ruler, a stop watch, and an action for the exact kinetic force sum in a kinetic unit? Promotional bull**** like kids in their gi chopping bricks.
I would say this is def the best post in this thread, hilarious and brilliant at the same time.
Marquez showed power he did not show before? 56 wins with 40 KOs… Manny has been KO’d by lesser fighters and Marquez hurt Manny before
I’ll go with the guy that actual got caught red handed
Not that kind of concussive power, the first knockdown, and the knockout were BRUTE physical strength, and if he had all that power already, where was it in the first three fights? He didn't even knock Manny down until the 4th fight. Your argument carries no weight, JMM is suspect.
Both were very suspect but I’d have to go with JMM
Just to evident
Wanted that revenge so bad
Revenge really does eat a human up in many different ways
Can bring the worse out of you , sometimes for the good but mostly for the bad
Where there’s a little good , there’s a little bad and where there’s a little bad , there’s a little good
I think so too, even leading up to the fight, there was chatter about it, Kevin from Yahoo published his suspicions the week of the fight.
It is an absurd thread. Tarver could always punch too.
Tarver could always punch, but not like that, the way Jones reacted simply wasn't normal, and given how hungry, how desperate Tarver was for fame and fortune, given his track record, that fight has a HUGE black cloud over it.
- - Y U only have 2 pennies worth of IQ?
A penny for each parent, or was U hatched?
That might be one the weakest counter arguments I have seen on this platform and that is saying quite a bit.
Those terms are irrelevant.
Stank literally has pedraza who his fans keep claiming is some fvkcing atg cause it's his only good one. A dehydrated mental midget in Ryan isn't impressive.
Spencer has done Jack shlt besides struggle with thurmans leftovers. If Spencer is a hof then so is thurman
Yeah it's def personal, not sure what the problem is, but a three belt welterweight champion, who has never lost, has done a bit more than jacksh/t, your trolling bro
Teofimo lopez is now ahead of spence and crawford in HOF ranking.
I am not sure he is ahead, but he is in the mix for sure, to clarify, these are not rankings, no particular order
GGG, Canelo, Roman, Fury, Loma, Usyk, & Crawford are are first ballot Hall of Famers.
Wilder might get in solely on the strength of being Fury's opponent.
Tank isn't close to Hall of Fame material and will need a good 3 more years of woks based on the level he fights at. Teo will be in the Hall of Fame if he can hold it together for good 3 more fights.
Danny Garcia may get inducted one day.
I don't understand why so many boxing fans have trouble debating Wilder Objectively, Riddick Bowe held the title for a YEAR, defended it TWICE before losing it, and he is in.
Wilder's resume far outweighs his in terms of KO Percentage and title defenses, not to mention he is an iconic KO artist, a mainstream type of star. I would bet 1k he gets in on the FIRST ballot.
Good thread topic and a good list.
Thanks bro, and it's no surprise that you posted an eloquent and insightful response, I def forgot to put Estrada there, that was a mistake.
You honestly have Wilder and Tank on there regardless of what happens? FOH.
This kind sounds personal, no matter what you say, Wilder is going into the HOF of off 10 title defenses and his KO percentage, trilogy with Fury helps as well, Tank is a virtual lock at this rate, he just needs one or two more big title wins, and he is in, period.
There is a CLEAR difference between generational and all time great, being one of the best of your era is not the same thing as being an all time great, but in the context of the hall of fame, being generational is an automatic lock to get into the hall.
Haney is on the top of the list of the HOF fighter today.
No way, Haney is DEF not a HOF, that fight with Loma destroyed his credibility, now if he beats Tank, Shakur, Lopez, wins a title at 140, and 147, then we are talking HOF
I'd take out aj, wilder, Spencer and stank
See the fact that you used the term stank tells me your not being objective, and that this is personal, therefore, your opinion, or at least that statement, is tainted.
Without question, this guy...

I would assume your trolling right? This guy is too old, and to robotic to create a HOF resume in the next three years, he is going to get smacked again in his rematch, so please, be serious when contributing to this thread lol
Only sure locks are Canelo, inoue and Teofimo everyone else had work to do.
Do you watch boxing? To say that Teofimo is a lock before Donaire implies you are pretty young, and need to read, watch youtube, etc lol.
The only people that are hyping this fight up are the race fools that wanna see Inoue lose bc he made them look like dummies by blasting out Fulton and making it look easy. There's weight classes for a reason. In reality, this is a non-subject. Inoue and Davis are both special fighters, but this just a pipe dream matchup for the haters.
So when you say "race fools" were upset that Fulton lost? Why would they specifically be upset about Fulton? You really need good a better dog whistle lol. Just say what you want to say, stand on it.
I think it's a fair prediction, even the logical one. Usyk will have to either cut Fury or hurt him, if he fails to do that, it's going to be a tough night, even if Fury shows up looking like sh/t his size and his ability to fight tall and aggressively will be a problem for the much stronger man. Usyk has to hurt him early.
It would be a mistake to take 5M to fight canelo. Even if he wins, he won’t become a star. Just ask bivol
This is a totally different situation, I could not disagree more with your assessment, David is starting to tap the mainstream before he even fights Canelo. He is American, he speaks English, a very fan friendly style, he could be a successor to Canelo at this pace, a win would make him the biggest star in US boxing, and among the biggest in the world. So taking 5 mil now, to make 30 mil later ain't such a bad play. I am in the Canelo camp, but for gosh sakes, everyone needs to start giving David his respect.
I think it was the perfect storm. Fury has gotten lazy, he stopped working on what made him great, and resorted to relying on mauling to wear people down, he also fought two BS opponents since Wilder, which did nothing to help him progress as a HW. The problem tonight was he could not maul a man that is the superior wrestler, physically stronger, and weighs about the same, and has power in BOTH fists, something Wilder didn't. What we have is Fury's Krytponite, a snapshot of what happens when Fury fights someone that can compete with him physically, and has the engine to press him, tonight also proved that the Wilder fights were more about Fury being a weight bully than anything else.
A rematch with Francis is by FAR the most lucrative fight out there in the HW division, but Fury is probably so embarrassed that he will maul Usyk, and then retire.
Lol just say Charlo is better risk/reward. I get it, there’s a business side to the sport, and the business side doesn’t involve the best fighting the best. I hate it, but I’d hate it less if fighters would say it like it is. Charlo is a for sure win, Boots is a 50/50, and they pay the same.
What do you mean they pay the same? That is an absurd calculation, it's not even close.
With the buildup, provided Charlo doesn't get totally murdered by Canelo, Bud will net upwards of $30 million at least, it will approach 800,000 buys, maybe surpass it due to the story.
Never underestimate how much a true beef can sell, Spence and Crawford were hugging and kissing in the leadup. Not this fight, it will be a modern hood classic, it will be BIGGER than the Spence fight commercially.
Boots can't provide that type of stage.
He looked totally coked out, like out of his mind. Not coming down, or in withdraw, but high on stage. I don't know why anyone actually believes Garcia is going to go through with the fight, he needs to be in rehab.
Whatever you think about his methods, people have been talking about the fight all week, the Barclays is (allegedly) sold out, and people are not tuning in to see Haney. What Ryan needs now is a shock win, THEN, he is a star, a mainstream crossover star.
Sounds more like a Margarito situation. Apparently multiple fighters and trainers are confirming the bad wraps. It really puts a bad light on Inoue's previous knockouts.
Not only is it like hitting a guy with a brick, but it protects the hands and allows a guy to throw much harder with no fear of breaking their hands.
When I saw this story I knew it was bad, so for those saying, "it doesn't matter" or "it's legal in Japan", clearly you don't understand the impact this type of situation can have on a fighter's career.
This is issue that the Japanese fighter is facing moving forward, people all over the world agree his hand wraps are suspect, and given his reputation as a knockout king, that's really bad, it's bad for perception, it's bad for his marketability, it's bad for boxing because he was emerging as the new face of the sport. Now the pressure is on, he will HAVE to change how he wraps his hands next week, and moving forward, and he better win by KO, or the cloud is going to get darker than it is right now.
If anything Helenius bring size similar to Wilder and Fury. That is where the comparisons begin and end.
Absurd, AJ is NOT WILDER, stop with the lazy comparisons, AJ is in real tough, and it's due to the fact that he gun shy, hasn't been that active, and hates exchanging, he won't be able to avoid fighting in this fight. Jab and grab won't work against the bigger stronger man
Both these bums are on the same level, neither man will ever be an A-class fighter, but they can make some money fighting each other so why not.
On an unrelated note, Munguia is def the A side, like without question, this fight will marginally sell in LA.
Not the end of the world for the Aussie, the fight is tainted by the cuts, but wow what a buzz kill, a huge blow to his mystique, on top of that, now fighters can avoid him, they can use this L as an excuse to duck him. His best bet is to move up to 160, and rebuild the same way Hearns did.
Nobody was happier than Spence tonight btw, Tim would have ended his career.
Boxing is so fked up lol. Garcia still gets to keep the money plus the 12 mill for betting on himself while Haney suffered the beating of his life. He might never be the same again smh.
That' not entirely true. He is looking at civil litigation, and a suspension, he is about to lose SO much money, it's not good for his brand, or earning potential in 2024.
Ryan's behavior I think is a reflection of a young impressionable kid not being taken care of by the people around him. He is a good person, no doubt about that, but a bit overwhelmed with the moment, and the fact that as of now he is not up to the mark, the pressure of losing, the potential humiliation, that's causing serious anxiety and fear. He does not fear Haney, he fears losing. Status is everything to him, he is a narcissist, anything that bruises his ego is the end of the world. Handling fame and fortune can be more difficult than attaining it.
