Add Lemieux to that list. He lost his IBF title to Golovkin
So that's 8 world champions beaten, 6 as a pro.
Not that bad.
5 posts, are you a Maxi alts? Lol
I have seen it for both but Golovkin gets it far more because so many outlets and fans have had him as their p4p number one, two, three for years. Crawford's fought more celebrated fighters at the time he fought them and moved up in weight, and received far, far, far less accolades than Golovkin. So there's less backlash. The praise Crawford gets is deep within the hardcore boxing fans community and it's frustrating that he's been doing the quality and not getting the attention anywhere near Golovkin within his own country.
Why bother criticizing a resume of a fighter like Crawford who is not having countless threads about him as an ATG and measured against guys like Hopkins and Hagler? When people start comparing him to Duran, Arguello and Mayweather constantly, then we an talk about how his resume lacks. If Golovkin was still as obscure as he was when he first stepped up against Proksa and had done all this work since then, you'd have people talking about how great is resume is and why isn't he a household name and why does America hate foreign fighters and the burden of the Eurasian man in the world today. Praise and criticism often relate to how much fanfare a guy gets.
Well, the reason why GGG has been hyped by HBO and co early unlike Crawford is because he was a world champ and an olympian medalist in ams, just like how they hyped Korobov, or Taylor, Jirov or now Shakur Stevenson.
Nobody knew nothing about Crawford.
So Golovkin wasn't that "obscure" in the boxing world, at least hardcore.
And some guys are overrating Crawford too, many have him as P4P king.
Crawford said himself "I'm P4P king if I beat IDONGO".
A guy just wrote in this thread Crawford has ATG status at 140.
Each fanbase is doing the same bullsht.
Except Connor did in fact call black men monkeys. Not only that, but in ALL 5 Rocky movies the first thing that popped into his head was a comment made by Rocky's racist brother in law.
He called juicehead monkeys Floyd's bodyguards calling out a white one.
Maybe it's some Connor language, maybe not and he was truly racist...dunno.
Crawford moved up at the age of 27..GGG turned pro at 25 right?? so how does your post make any sense?? and now people want Crawford to move up yet again...Crawford has been pro for 9 years same amount of time GGG has been pro...SO???????
So you wanted GGG to move up like Crawford at the age of 27 when he was facing beginners in Germany?
The point is simple Larry but you're VOLUNTARY MISSING IT, GGG has already moved up 30 pounds during his 20s as a top athlete and is not going to outgrew a division in his 30s like Crawford did.
I'm not saying that he doesn't have to move up, I'm just saying it's not pointless for him to stay at 160.
In terms of pure boxing, I would rather see him staying at 160 facing Nelo, rematching DJ, facing Charlo than moving up and doing a brit tour facing Groves and De Gale.
Moving up is cool but the quality of the opponents too.
Exemple: Broner is a 4 divisions champion but never has been A fighter in any of those 4 divisions, Ponce kicked his ass at 130.
You know...it's different..This is business...Canelo strong guy...Jacobs my favourite fighter..biggest challenge...Of curse I want a knock out...this is boxing you know...big drama show...
Crawford is a 2 division lineal champion and isnt even 30
That's maybe because one hasn't been an outstanding amateur on the international scene right?
Golovkin moved up in ams:
2000 Light Welterweight Gold Medalist at the World
2001 Welterweight Gold Medalist at the East Asian Games in Osaka, Japan.
2002 Light Middleweight Gold Medalist at the Asian
2003 Middleweight Gold Medalist
Crawford is praised as being top 2 P4P but if you look at his resume it doesn't scraem P4P 1 or 2 status. For all the **** GGG receives, I must say that Danny Jacobs is better than anything on Crawford's resume. Hell, even Danny Garcia and Amir Khan had better resumes at 140. What's up with all the hype?
They both have similar records, Crawford being a two divisions champion but GGG has been a world champion more times.
Once Crawford get his four belts, they will quite be in the same place, AKA unified champion of a weak division.
GGG is having his truth test as a pro facing Canelo, seems like he took it a bit too late.
GGG is getting roasted by some fans because he's more hyped.
Crawford is a 2 division lineal champion and isnt even 30
That's maybe because Crawford hasn't been an outstanding amateur on the international scene and turned pro younger right?
Golovkin moved up in ams:
2000 Light Welterweight Gold Medalist at the World Junior Championships in Budapest
2001 Welterweight Gold Medalist at the East Asian Games in Osaka, Japan.
2002 Light Middleweight Gold Medalist at the Asian
2003 Middleweight Gold Medalist at the World Championships in Bangkok
You should know that Larry since you're geeking boxing.
You Golovkin clowns are pitiful with that amateur bullsh*t. As if 4 rounds in headgear somehow applies to the pros. While you're at it I guess you have to add Danny Garcia and Mikey Garcia's scalps to Crawford's list since he beat them in the amateurs.
There is no bullsht in ams buddy.
And Oscar, Floyd (robbed), Roy, Lewis, Klit, Ward, Lomo, Rigo have been olympic champion for a reason.
Depending if those wins happens in olympic games or top competition or in some Sylver gloves bullsht kid tournaments when dudes are 15 years old.
Crawford does what Golovkin talks about doing.
Golovkin talks about being lineal champion. Crawford has been lineal champion in 2 divisions.
Golovkin talks about being undisputed champion. Crawford is fighting for the undisputed championship later this month.
Golovkin talks the talk. Crawford walks the walk.
Yet in a boxing ring (as a pro and amateur), GGG beat Jacobs, Brook, Ouma, Geale, Bute, Lee, Direll wich means 7 world champions.
How many Bud has beaten?
You guys need to stop that GGG bashing and looks at his whole respectable career.
Crawford is on the cusp of ATG status at 140. GGG needs to beat Canelo and maybe clean out the division for 2-3 years and he will be there too.
LOOOL for beating Postol?
Who would win?
McGregor is clearly the favourite.
Listen, he koed Jose Aldo trained by Robert Garcia, Jose Aldo is already a hall of famer, held the WBC belt in 6 divisions.
He also beat Poirier who is a first ballot hall of famer, Poirier has a better record than anybody in boxing right now.
And finally beating Diaz at 165, I rank it over Duran wins vs Barkley or when Roy beat Ruiz.
No seriously, Mosley, Poirier is on a different level of speed and skills.
Connor is undefeated in boxing for a good reason.
Same as your man Roberto Duran. Those are my two favorite fighters of all time.
Yeah, true little big dudes and bad asses.
That's also why PacMan was my favourite in the last era.
Those 3 guys were lil monsters.
I think we underrate how much they were good and got balls, they were fighting much bigger, longer men, Iron was 5'11 wich is Oscar's size, he's even shorter than GGG who isn't even a big MW.
Manny fighting Floyd is just like Chocolatito fighting Crawford 10 years later like Max K stated.
He was hurt or at least stunned against Corley, Judah,Mosley, Maidana and Pacquiao and there are probably a few more that I am missing. As you said, his ability to recover Is second to none, along with having an Iron chin. Unless Floyd forgot 30 years worth of boxing and got old over night, Mcgregor has no chance of winning or hurting him.
lol at that uppercut, Tyson had ridiculous power, dude was a real life Hulk.
McGregor keeps mentioning Floyd's tiny core and small frame, so much that I expected to see Lou Ferrigno when he came out bare chested at the Brooklyn conference, but he's a skinny streak of piss himself.
I don't see how he thinks he's in any way better built than Floyd. Floyd always comes in in exceptional shape and I expect this time to be no different, it will be a chiseled 154lbs.
McGregor has tiny arms as well, like little sparrow legs.
McGregor is thicker than Floyd, but not really bigger.
McGregor can crack a jaw with small mma gloves so I can understand his confidence, but I don't see how he can think his power will he that good with boxing gloves.
He's just not used to boxing gloves, especially on fight night, sparring ain't sht.
Wouldn't be that surprising if this is true.
I'm just looking forward to the post-fight presser where Conor says Floyd's head was just bigger then he expected & thats why he lost. He was training for a x size head, but on fight night it was a y size head thus a L. And then he'll go on about now that he's seen Floyd's true fight night head size he feels he could win a rematch cuz he'll adapt his strategy to a more y size head style.
Especially how Connor hold his head high.
He's there for the KO, a guy like Mathysse or Thurmann would take his head off.
100 million lmao? He made 30 million. Delusional Conor fan boys with all their imagination from Bruce Lee, 100million, most powerful man on earth and bouncing heads lmao. He's a fake wannabe Floyd.
*Alpha male my aśś. He's a over rated Charlie Zelenoff with teenage power lol.. George Foreman, Ali, Anthony Joshua Klitschko are *alpha males. McGregor is a little aśś boy. Alpha males don't take government assisted welfare just so they can pay for their training. Welfare is for females.

Any person who won 2 real complete (not a ABC paper belt) titles in 2 different divisions fighting the bests in a combat sport like MMA, boxing or Muay Thai is an alfa male.
Connor did it beating guys like Aldo and Mendes.
Who gives a chit about Connor retarded fans? Floyd also has his owns.
It's just about being fair to Connor.
Dude was 0-0 and fought a guys who was 49-0 who was P4P best 2 years ago and haters like Paulie calling him out for not having balls ....lol WTF you guys killing me with that bs
Especially when he could probably make another $30 mil fighting Paulie. I can see that fight doing a 1.5 mil PPV
Properly trained Paulie would probably beat him.
Seems like Connor beat him up a bit in sparring (looking at their face and demeanor) but Connor was in camp while Paulie was fat as fck untrained looking like a potatoe sack.
Your great white hope got exposed. Get over it. Rousey, Kovalev and now McQuitter. All you have left is GGG and Lomachenco. His name is now Connie McFeather.. he's a girl now. You seen the way he was punching lol?
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DIQmIVOUIAAwAKw.jpg
What was there to expose from Mister 0-0?
If someone should be ashamed, it's Floyd for fighting a newbe. Dude is getting a pass as usual.
Mister 0-0 was just a beginner going on for 12 rounds wich never happens.
You should give McGregor props, dude went 10 rounds vs a man who was P4P number 1 just 2 years ago, wich is a lot.
It just think that you're a racist puss who can't stand white fighters.
Lol now he was just a beginner lol
That's a fact and that's why everybody thought it was a joke of a fight. I made a thread joking about if they will announce CM as a "undefeated".
gets no props for losing to a 40 year old retired midget sorry. He had a 30 lb advantage and still lost.
40 years old like dude was 60. Floyd was P4P number 1 2 years ago from now.
Midget what? They only have 1 inch wich seperate them.
If Connor was 30 lbs heavier, then it means he had to rehydrate 30 lbs wich is just insane and not really an advantage.
a mark on Floyd face.
Since when Floyd got mark on his face, it's rarely happens.
Sr fought 10 fighters with 0-0 records I don't want to hear that excuse
when he was himself a beginner right, not when he was 50 fights.
Connor deserves props, like most people in boxing did "Leonard, " Garcia", "Chavez" ect...
But I do not expect unsecure low life hating people to give credit to a white alfa male like CM who just made 100 millions.
He literally landed more then Manny and put on a much netter show then Manny while throwing more shots than Manny..Do ya'll realize how stupid yall look??? add in to the fact Manny just lost to a fvcking school teacher........while Floyd just robbed the bank again....
So 3 years later you're still in that "Flumo vs *******" political stuff Larry?
:pat:
This is one fighter that's soul was taken from him. I never would have thought that
Based on what?
He got beat downstairs, everybody got hurt to the body.
He doesn't have an iron liver I guess.
"ho he took his soul doe, couldn't fight back"
Kovalev never was a monster, he's just like any other fighter.
Kovalev might come back stronger, sure those 2 losses back to back are a hard pill to swallow.
Kovalev problems will be the motivation, he hardly collected those belts and lost it, so he would have to start from the begining again.
So Kovalev, a man who managed to export his craft to the US and made millions;
beat the life out of many world champions (5 I think), beat arguably the number 1 P4P fighter once, can perform in front of millions of people....
BUT is weak mentally as chit....
Right, what a stupid, "chitty", childish comment I must say.
If Kovalev can't take it, then why Ward went life and death for 20 rounds with him.
Kovalev is for sure a strong mentally bad ass.
Ward was for sure stronger mentally than Kovalev, but it doesn't mean (losing to Ward mentally) that Kov is a mental midget.
Obviously, he doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that Pac is over the hill and not even a WW size wise.
Horn showed some guts but dude is sloppy, he doesn't look like an elite fighter IMO.
1. Youth, Conor is 28, Floyd is 40.
2. Speed. Conor is quicker and has a very quick and accurate left.
3. Conor has a longer reach than anyone Floyd has ever fought.
4. Floyd has been out of action for years, Conor has been active.
5. Conor is an elite striker, Bruce Lee style, making him unorthodox and unpredictable.
6. Conor is southpaw.
7. Confidence. Conor is by far the most confident man in all sports.
8. Mental game. Conor became a star because of his trash talking ability. He will turn the press conference into a massive scene and get into the head of Floyd. He is willing to go very far in his trash talk in order to get a reaction.
9. Pressure. All the pressure is on Floyd. Everyone expects him to win, and his record is on the line, as well as the dignity of the Boxing community.
10. Power. Conor is the hardest puncher that Floyd has ever fought and is renown for his famous left hand.
11. He is known as Mystic Mac for making wild predictions and shocking the world by making them happen. Hes telling the world they will eat their words.
Bet everything on Conor McGregor.
Based on what?
Has CMG ever koed somebody with a boxing glove?
Kiernan Bradley some Irish amateur. He's got a nice amateur record, but mostly in Ireland which isn't the stiffest competition in the amateur world. They claim he fights like Floyd, but I can't see it from what I saw on Youtube.
Louis Adolphe a 6-0 brit pro. Got some slickness to him, hasn't really fought anybody doe.
Artem Lobov some MMA guy on his team.
The main one's are Bradley and Adolphe. Lobov is there to just fill in work.
Well, that's horrible.
Bring at least a Beltran or an Ishe Smith.
That's not a 500 K dollars fight.
I aint even talking about just the sparring..the fact he talked all that sh1t about Connor..then went and worked with him and was kissing his ass only to have them treat him like sh1t
He also talked too much after each sparring session, sht was boderline due to the confidential close, "Connor gassed after round 6", so you release that dude gas out middle rounds....
I think Paulie annoyed them, that's the main thing about Paulie, he is annoying. Good lad, he had hearth and is a smart guy but dude is such an attention wh0re...
