Your pics turned out great. I stalked and took pics with almost all of them and got both my gloves autographed. Good times!
Edit:
I was the first one who spotted Arum geting out of his car and I ran up to him and shook his hand and took a pic. Nobody really knew who he was until someone asked me. I told them he was the promoter and all of a sudden he gets swarmed. LMAO.
Nice pics warp.
I was there too. Pretty cool turn out. Both fighters were really nice & really cool to give pics/autographs.
Both fighters got some booing and it wasn't even that bad. It was all rivalry fun. I myself cheered for both non-stop. :headbang:
Oh also, I think Roach got annoyed with me cuz' I kept trying to slip him my glove to sign. He looked me in the eye and said "I will sign it next". LMAO. I felt salty but he was still cool. I asked him how training was going and he said it was going very good. Then someone jumped in front of me. LOL.
how many people were there would u say? lots of empty seats? packed? what?
There were no seats... just standing. It started out pretty small but the crowd got bigger towards the end. Like I said in the othere thread... it seemed like everyone was on "Filipino Time"
Not sure who to replace Floyd with but I think they should all be active boxers up there.
Or we can just replace them all with past legends. ButterBean would be #1 for sure.
Now that it has been brought up, I am not sure I like the dripping part either but other than that it looks really nice. It would be cool if it was printed on some good quality t-shirts like American Apparel.:fing02:
Tyson was still a knucklehead under D'Amato. Cus and Jimmy were able to cover up some of these incidents and present the Hollywood "elderly white man takes in ghetto black kid and turns his life around" story, but Tyson still got into trouble during those Catskill days.
Jose Torres talked about how he and Cus used to drive thru the streets of Brownsville looking for Mike when he'd run the streets, and rarely did they find him. Torres also wrote about one incident in "Fire and Fear" about Cus basically giving Mike an ultimatum because he was so tired of Mike getting into trouble.
Cus living longer may have prolonged Mike's stay at the top, but eventually demons would get the best of Mike. Plus his boxing style isn't exactly suited for longevity. It requires a ton of energy and stamina and fighters are more prone to burn out quickly with that sort of style. He's 5'11 with a 71" wingspan, he's not exactly going to be able to box at range patiently for most of his fights.
^^ Agreed. Many people never knew that Tyson was NOT really an Angel under Cus' management.
Mike was really young & immature while with Cus & their relationship was cut too short. Who really knows if Cus would have been able to tame him longer if he lived a couple more years. We can only wished for Iron Mike to have had a better life.
Oh & DK is an evil motherf&^$%$!
LMAO... some good stuff in here. Someone needs to send this thread to EA Sports before FNR4 debuts. They might just add a couple of these as "unlocks/bonuses" :boxing:
