This may be a stupid easy question but I’m serious & was just wondering. We always hear that a boxer can be known for having a “glass” chin. Is there something during training to fix that or are there at least ways to work on it?
actually do you think that'd help? chewin more, you know get a chew toy and develop your jaw muscles?
i reckon it does, think i might make a thread on it, what do you think?
I don't think the difference will be notable. Developing the neck muscles might help against uppercuts if you have a decent chin, though.
learn to chew, khans head looks like the top of the pin where you stick the string through and his chin the point
dude musta been fed through a tube his whole life
If you grow a big beard it might help cushion the blows.
i think you can do a few things, increase neck size, increase muscle on legs, learn to roll with punches, better defence, but ultimatly if your chin is sus you will get hit flush and will get knocked out. there is the khan solution whis is to fight nobodys who are all smaller than you that could work but still even he nearly got ko'D BY little guys
moving up in weight
:lol1:
You got it. Move up in weight and fight people with even harder shots! That should do the job.

You need to have the plaster of paris installed in your face. It's a risky procedure and you cut easily afterwards, which is why most don't go through with it.

a weak chin can never be cured. all u can hope to do is improve the defense and endurance to compensate.

quit boxing does
When you get knocked out its all about how your brain bounces about in your head, if you have a thinner skull or too much fluid between the inside of your skull and your actual brain then your brain moves around more when you get hit and you get knocked out....If you have a thick skull or a brain that is tighter against the inside of you skull then your brain moves less equalling a good chin. :)
Its more to do with the nerves in your chin. Thats why Khan wasn't knocked out by a headclash.

Only havin a tougher mentality. There's shit you can do in terms of balance and defense that'll help you not to get moved or knocked down by big shots, but if you got a soft jaw you can't 'learn' to have a good one. Chin ain't a skill that's taught in the gym, it's one of those intangibles you gotta be born with.
