Just a lack of exposure... Sadly I am pretty sure that S. Korea has some world class fighters that will never get a shot or the exposure.. It is just the nature of the business... If Korea were bordering the U.S. and Mexico was in Asia, we would be talking about Korean warriors right now.. Koreans are probably the toughest mofos in boxing.
Here have a free link to Hernan Marquez vs.Edrin Dapudong later on..

Man, he complete OWNED HIM. Not only was he laughing at him all the fight with his hands down and taking shots but he just destroyed him to the point where the dude gave up. Sad thing is that Melligan was winning all the rounds he wasnt KD' in. Uncle Fester is a crazy ass fighter! I became fan tonight!
Shows that heart > no heart. Dude ripped it out of his heart and stomped on it, and lol when they brought the stool out for Melligan to sit on and Uncle Fester sat on it lol. as Sechback would say Sebastian got jokes!
This fight brought a huge smile to my face seeing a crazy Ese KO this overhyped Mayweather bum.
Dude took fight on like 5 DAYS NOTICE WHILE MELLIGAN BEEN TRAINING FOR MONTHS. DOWN DOWN DOWN DOWN DOWNNN

yeah sure like a past prime morales that beat pac the first time and the way he beat marquez so convincingly
GTFO
Nah bro, it ain't like that man....I love and admire Filipino people. I used to date a Pinay and she was so humble and gracious. The few Filipinos that I have met have been some of the nicest people and with very good morals.
I wasn't trying to disrespect Pinoys in boxing or in general. I know their capabilities inside the ring and admire them for the courage and respect they show in the ring and towards their opponents. I was very disappointed yesterday when Melligan lost believe it or not. I had never seen him fight but for some reason he struck me as a humble and respectful person (as most Pinoys do) and therefore I rooted for him the rest of the fight and actually felt bad when he lost.
Anyways you and I have discussed this before, how we admire each other as people yet we do get annoyed by some of the racist poster here lfrom both sides. Xcaret, islasimio, komandante and reppublica are just a few of the few immature and racist pricks. You and I feel the need to put them in their place and sometimes in the heat of the moment we tend to go a little bit too far but we don't mean bad. I'm DesertStorm, Ko-Chulito or Mbandit by the way, you may not remember me but I remember having this discussion with you before.
You guys are lcuky to have a great fighter like Pacqiuao who may very well be a top 5 GOAT. That is something the Filipino people should be very proud of. Mexico has many champions some are great and some are just ok. The Philippines may not have as many but the few that they have had stand out and shine like giant bright stars in the boxing universe, that is something that you should be very proud of. Bioth countries deserve all the praise and respect in the boxing world.
Take care bro.
i think you're giving a little too much credit there.pac is def a top 30 atg though
Us guys? What do you mean...lol Anyways, Donaire and Pac are the only good fighters the Philippines currently has where as Mexico and Mexican-Americans have the most champs and has the most promising prospects.
How can you even say this era belongs to the Pinoys, that is such a false statement.
Numbers don't lie and the number of Mexican all-time champions and HOF's, undoubtedly substantiates that Mexico>Philippines in boxing.
It's like this; Panama may have a greater boxer than any of the Mexican boxers to ever lace them up but who's enjoyed a richer boxing history? What country is currently enjoying more of a boxing success? Greats from other countries will come and go but which country will enjoy success at the world stage on a consistent basis?
Mexico has veteran champs still performing at a world-class level that may be on their way out. They have solid champions that have years left to defend or capture more belts and Mexico has many solid prospects that will be their successors after they are gone. Can the Philippines say the same after Pac and Donaire are gone? What if Pac retires next tear and Donaire gets brutally koed into journeyman status, who will the Philippines have then?
When Marquez retires will be many boxers for Mexicans to chose from. When Montiel got koed we had a wave of capable Mexicans that won multiple belts in foreign lands. Mexico has some promising prospects in the lower weights and in the higher weights. So who do you think enjoys more success in boxing?
While Donaire and Pac are greats even they have been defeated by Mexicans. When you compare the current state of boxing for each respective country you can clearly see that this era belongs to Mexico rather than to the Philippines with all due respect of course. When you match up the best against the best you see the true result. Mexicans have beat the best the Philippines has had to offer from past greats to modern greats to up and coming prospects and everything in between.

duran isn't a full blooded panamanian he is also mexican.
Vanes or James Kirkland? Obviously if one wanted the easier fight they'd pick Vanes, who let me remind everyone, was getting beat up by Kassim Ouma last year.
I'm a wealthy man. Might give you a job when your finished firing whatever bullets you have left in there. But thanks for the offer. I'm good.
I guess your no real boxing fan. A super fight comes once in a life time. No 2 top fighters in boxing are in the same division. We have that chance to see the 2 top dogs fight it out. If you're not into that sheit you're in the wrong thread my friend. Cheers!
I'm a rich Paraguayan bro. Don't pfucc with me.
Your not getting it..
It all boils down to the fair split. This is what this is all about. And you can see who is the Top dog of all sports. It's the Pacman.
50/50 is fair game.
This super fight is for all boxing fans who love and crave for a mega event that will catapult boxing back to it's glory days.
Sadly one is asking a sheit load that is unrealistic to even begin a negotiation.
Get a job bro.
1. If you go back far enough, everyone is African.
2. Wait 20 years, everyone will look the same.
3. All this race stuff is soooo last century.
that is a common misconception. Yes we all migrated from what is know known as africa, but we werent black african we still looked like cavemen.
you have the victor ortiz blood soba manguera ... go jump off a bridge troll
Everytime I pronounce your username, I pronounce it with a mexican accent
moose-tang:lol1:
This is why when people say that he'll "crush" Kirkland, I ask them "who has he beaten that will give you this indication"?
Then I hear two things:
1. Crickets
2. James lost to Ishida
True, James lost to Ishida, but he also beat 3 guys that punch much harder than Ishida (Vera, Julio, and Angulo).
Fact is, this kid has done nothing in his career that says he'll beat Kirkland. Why, because he gave Mosley his 3rd beating in 4 fights?
The kid has potential, but until he beats someone of substance, I can't pick him over Kirkland, Lara or Dzinziruk.
he beats kirkland and lara with ease. Why? you may ask. Well it's just common knowledge. Canelo is the superior fighter.
As of right now,he's just another overhyped Al Haymon fighter. The only one's that seemed really sold on him are the Mayweather fans, and that's only because he's black and copies Mayweather's attitude and his mannerisms.
lol so true.
