PBF is no jabber... he doesnt do it much...
because he usually doesnt HAVE to.............however he'd be looking to 'calm' and control PACs aggression.............he'd need the jab to throw PACs rhythm and timing off........................and that might make Manny get a lil wild and looping
Possibly, but Manny has miles more confidence than judah does.
lol true
however I must sadly admit I like the new Judah................who stands in there and gets pounded into unconsciousness by Cotto n Clottey
He aint quit
we'll see playa...
cheers...
a lot of fighters have looked 'IMPROVED' until they were frustrated and then they resort to old BAD habits.
I think the true question here though is WTF has PBF been up to in retirement, that will play the biggest part in a Pac match-up
Has he been Judah'rin around the club circuit?
are you drunk?
if you think Cotto could have lasted any longer................it's a good thing you aren't in his corner, cause you'd be eulogizing your fighter now.
Cotto went out on his hsield like a champ is supposed to do. He wasn't humbled or 'exposed' like I'm sure some dumbasses will try to say. He just got beat, that's all. Props to the man for bein a real champ.
Out on his shield???????????????
He quit.........went to the canvas without getting hit
prompting his wise corner to throw in the towel
My question is, why do you think your man, either Floyd or Manny will win?
For me, I think Manny will win not just because of his hand speed because I think they are both pretty fast, but Manny has much faster "foot" speed. Manny will dance around Floyd all night long.
IMO Manny will dance around Floyd.
I disagree, Cotto and Clottey found Manny's head at will and we all know PBF is head and shoulders above those two. Pac's advantage lies in his punch volume and stamina, even though I believe the longer the fight lasts PBF will figure him out.
True, Mayweather is not Cotto. But "How" will Mayweather use his size advantage in which Cotto did not?
You make him carry your weight, clinch and lean down on his shoulders.................punch him and push him back.............basically bully him
Lol of course he is better Technically.
And ofcourse shes bias, shes black & American.racist comment, that holds no bearing . Many "black Americans" like Pac over May. She did not lie. Being technically better does not make you the best. Hell James Toney was leaps and bounds technically better that RJJ when they fought, made no difference
Bottom line is this
Obviously Cotto was always underweight at '40
he seems comfortable at '47, but I even suspect he'd be more natural at '54
That said Hatton is a natural @ '40
he would have worn down a weakened 140 Cotto
Cotto @ 147 or higher would knock Hatton out of the ring
and end his career with the beating, if you dont believe me
ask Hatton
He was one of the strongest, however his awkwardness took away from his power. He didnt have the balance or coordination of his brother, thereby giving away power because of leverage and the placement of his feet when throwing punches
as stated above
I agree that he's not a big instant knockout guy but your clearly underrating him. he's stopped some durable guys and he does throw in combinations. he's far from graceful but gets the job done most of the time
yeah but his loss to Byrd is testament to my previous post.............those guys he knocked out underestimated him.................he's strong and if you stand in there waiting you'll get caught
neither fighters were past there prime. quit looking for excuses. youre just digging yourself deeper in a hole. donald sure as hell didnt look shot in his fights with valuev and holyfield after vitali. both fighters were in there primes when vit fought them. end of story
Ok if you want to use an OBVIOUSLY shot Holyfield and Valuev who is a horrible fighter as a barometer for Donald..............you are reaching
that was when byrd was elusive and vit was much more raw back then. vit knocked out a lot of experienced guys,, I doubt they'd have underestimated him ,,,espescially considering his size and knockout record
well Donald and Hide were both considerable past their prime when he fought them.............shades of a Rocky Marciano record
You should watch some of Vitali's fights on YouTube. He's knocked out a lot of very tough boxers in their prime - Williams, Johnson, Hinton, Hide, Norris - in the early rounds. For most of his opponents, it was the first time they'd ever been stopped. Vitali hits as hard as anyone except for Wlad, and he is certainly not a B or C level fighter.
He beat B fighters who WERE NOT in their prime.........hide for one is from the 80's (MIKE TYSON ERA...............NORRIS ALSO)
No
He was one of the strongest, however his awkwardness took away from his power. He didnt have the balance or coordination of his brother, thereby giving away power because of leverage and the placement of his feet when throwing punches
All I'm saying is he didnt KO these guys when they were at the top of their game.....................Larry Holmes was durable but was KOed once by Tyson........yes Tyson was a ferocious puncher but, Holmes way past his prime
well alrighty then. we'll just agree to disagree. maybe peter will eventually make me a believer. he's as strong as an ox thats for sure and if he really shortens his punches and drops another 10 lbs he sure could possibly stop more durable guysa very big word indeed
Donald was getting older, but he wasn't one of the six I mentioned in my earlier post. The ones I mentioned (Hide, Johnson, Williams, etc.) were all good fighters, all in their prime, all had never been KOed before. Vitali looked awesome against them, check the fights on YouTube!
I guess I'm biased because to me Johnson/Williams aren't front runners, they are journeymen who never could quite make it past a top level figher
thats exactly right. good post. vitali tends to punch off his back foot not putting all his weight into his shots. that makes him harder to catch with counter shots. every now and then he will fully commit and when he does the opponent usually goes down hard. he really committed in the 10th round of the donald fight. one of the few times Ive seen him turn into his shots and he dropped donald hard. only times donald has ever been down in his career
IMO you have to be over the hill or just plain reckless to get knocked out by vitali..............he telegraphs everything and swings in the wind..........no real combos. Good KO % but a B or C fighter
huh? donald was right in the middle of his career and hasnt even taking any beatings and look how he looked against valuev and holyfield even years later. hide was the same fighter that made it to round 6 with bowe. he wasnt shot at all. he was on a winning streak and had just blown tony tucker away in the first round not long before vit fought himLMAO @ TUCKER.........donald was 35 when he fought VK and although he and hide were the same age when they fought, hide was a pro 8yrs b4 VK started
lol,,,your really starting to make me wonder about you. hide fought in the 90's. he wasnt past his prime when vit fought him. your really blowing smoke now
Hide turned pro around 88 and fought VK in 99
A 9.5
Tyson IMO has one of the best chins in boxing.
1. he has never been KOed by one shot or even knocked down
2. not unlike other fighters (Lewis, for one), his chin seems connected to his stamina/training.
3. he has taken NUMEROUS shots from guys who have been known to flatten people with one punch
