Gomez has more of a pro style, but his lack of pop will hurt him at this level.
Who's been telling y'all frankie has no pop, frankie had 126 w with 95 ko if I'm not mistaken, theirs reason behind the hype, the kid been kayoing guys with helmets and big gloves, that's why he's so higly reguarded
Lol and juanma dosent, either way it would be a great fight, but it won't happen, 2 soon and does make sense, either u ruin ur undefeated prospect or ur cash cow takes his first lost before the mega fight with gamboa, gamboa vs lopez 1st, then mikey gets the winnner
Lol y'all calm down, dude just asking for opinions, I think both will be future stars and eventually will fight each other, I see frankie taking it, he gets criticized for his way of punching but honestly I thinks that's part of the reason he's successful, stylisticly benavidez had the advantage style in the ametures to win and still lost, but ultimately it will come down to who's better conditioned on fight night, because both guys have the skills to win
If I were a trainer, if my fighter wasn't at least 5-10, I wouldn't bother. Its rather obvious that no short fighter can beat him. You need length 1st & foremost. You need a long jab good straight (left or right) & stamina.
U can't train a fighter to beat mayweather, it takes a certain type of fighter, the type of fighter who gave floyd the most problems were technical pressure fight who bang to the body and work behind a jab and have respectable power, jlc, miguel cotto, oscar although he was wasn't a infighter he tried and wasn't succescful because that's not his style of fighting, but as we speak their no fighter and hasn't been since floyd made his run that is an elite inside fighter besides cotto who we all know been on the decline since his beating from margarito, if I had to pick a type of fighter to beat him it would be along the lines of julio cesar chavez and roberto duran, just my opinion
Vasquez would get beat by montiel and nonito, he should fight some one like abner or perez before being considered among the best, his biggest win was against a smaller green filipino prospect, not a good enough oponent to be considered elite, he has potential, calderon 5 years ago maybe would of pulled off the win, and that's a MAYBE
The scorecards were fine, saying other wise is a bull **** statement!!
The rounds Salido won he won them impresivley and the one's juanma won were a bit close, but he still won them. Juanma won rounds 1,2,3,7. Salido won 4,5 and 6. So the fight was a draw at that point. If you score the 8, then Salido was ahead by one point.
People here needs to lear how to score a fight!!!
Home field advantage was evident, rematch should be in Mexico, every close round was given to Lopez maybe due to the fact that every time juanma through a punch the crowd went crazy which magnified every thing Lopez did, salido had to dominate to win a round, while juanma just had to do enough and be competitive and he would of got the nod, unfortunately he got stopped which I agree was a bit premature
Margarito is a scary looking dude, I won't be surprised if he pulls off the upset, after the cotto win margarito lived the rockstar lifestyle and didn't train properly for mosley, expect a different margs for this fight, regardless of the winner its going to be a war
Reminds me of clottey vs pac, the knock out never came because ndou didn't want to engage, knockouts usually happen inbetween exchanges, and ndou was on defense mode like 90% percent of the fight
