I thought the Vlasov stoppage was too quick, though. He was up at the count of 9 I thought.
Vlasov would very likely have won anyway, but his opponent should have had a second chance.
Andre Dirrell should have been penalized for repeatedly falling down, for excessive holding, and for mouthing off and behaving childishly (sticking out his tongue, etc).
He perhaps should have been DQ for refusing to engage, running like a chicken-hearted coward.

He refused to engage the smaller man even in the later rounds when he knew he was far behind on the scorecards! He showed the world he does not have the courage of a champion.

I thought it was a really good possibility. He was losing the Ayala fight iirc before that KO in the 12 round. He was coming on real strong and Dirrell got hurt in the 10th and dropped.

Any of those guys would be good! It would be a great way for Brook or Senchenko to establish themselves.
Williams or Margarito would be interesting matchups for Berto.
But no, Ross Greenburg and HBO will look into the smaller weight divisions like lightweight or light welterweight for Berto's next opponent. Perhaps they'll have him fight Katsidis. They should match Berto with other top 10-15 welterweights, but they'll keep on protecting him.
