I hope these guys fight again.
Dirrell was clearly winning the fight, but it felt like Abraham was putting a lot of pressure, and on the verge of more knock downs and possibly a KO.
but he did fold.
How did he fold? He slipped. Watch the clip without bias. He knew AA hit him when he was down so he acted like he was just hit int he face with a sledge hammer so he'd get the W.
He did fold - with exactly 4 minutes left. He folded in half on the canvas. In fact, i think he's still folded lol. Dirrell's not build for this game, calm down.
He clearly slipped. You guys think a guy is going to just quit like that with so much to lose? He wasn't even that hurt. He was shaken because he was dropped. In the 11th he was under control and just trying to get away for a W.
Dirrell did act. I would even call his reaction borderline disgusting with how far he took it. But to say he was about to get knocked out is reaching. AA was outclassed and beaten by the better fighter.
Hell I wanted AA to win btw even though I put smart money on a Dirrell victory.
I think Dirrell would have won. It's a shame it didn't end by a decision or a knockout. The Super Six is really not getting lucky with a lot of the fights already surrounded in controversy or problems.
I agree. Abraham's had 12th round KOs against Taylor, Gevor and Ayala.
Dirrell was getting tired, Abraham was gaining momentum.
I wonder if some of you even watched the fight. Dirrell ready to go? Lol. Are you kidding me? The bias in this place is unbelievable. He was fine, legs werent wobbly, wasn't acting desperate.
To say AA would have gone on and knocked him out with 4 1/2 minutes left is bullshit. He landed flush punches earlier in the fight and Dirrell took them fine. The biggest fight of the guys life, I doubt he's just going to fold with 4 minutes left. It's not liek AA was hurting him with every punch landed.
but he did fold.
AA was starting to put alot of pressure and land some hard shots, i think he was on the verge of a ko.
right here dude. AA started going to work and actually started to cut off the ring. that KO was coming. 2 rounds was plenty of time.
This.
Dirrell would have stayed on his toes for the rest of the fight and would have won a a lopsided UD.
Same thought....
There were moments in the fight where it looked like AA was going to catch him and Dirrell handled it. Even when trapped, he got out.
And he took a bomb early in the fight and Dirrell was fine.

exactly. finally, someone who's seen Abraham's fights and knows that a KO in the final seconds of the final round is not something ridiculous to assume. after the 10th it was for the taking.

If it wasn't for that cheap shot, Andre would of got back up from that slip and knocked out Abraham in the final round,, Andre should be awarded 3 points, cause Abraham frustration and desperation caused him to throw the fight....

Don't think he would. If the were 3 more rounds yes but Dirrell only had to endure 1 more. Also if Abraham was confident he would be able to do that, why would he foul and throw his 0 away? He didn't feel Dirrell weakening enough or being hurt by his shots enough so he would go away.

I 2nd that....he was getting desperate....and starting to catch Dirrell from the 10th round on. Dirrell wasn't "moving" anymore and getting cornered / caught on the ropes. Very similar to the Jermain fight....
It was a possibility for a KO, but a probability? You guys are nuts. Dirrell is smart enough to run if he needs to and slick enough to avoid most of the big shots. He also threw some nice straight left counters as Abraham was coming in. 95% chance he survives, it's not like he was on queer street.
I don't want to say he was going to KO him. Who know's Dirrell could of really got on his bicycle and ran until the end of the bell. But, I thought AA was coming on strong, I thought he was getting closer and also hitting Dirrell more ofter. I felt a KO was highly possible it was not out of the realm of possibility.
Yea it seemed that way to me. He actually went down from a jab that hit him on the temple.
Naw that was clear slip bro he started slipping before the punch landed.
