bump...........
That's neutral territory since it's not in Florida (Lacy's home state).
Actually, Atlanta is further away from Tampa, Florida than Manchester is away from Wales.
Yeah he looked like Floyd against him. Meticulously picking his shots against Damgaard.
Which leads me to think: how in the FUCK was Damgaard undefeated?
Yeah, I think Floyd has some kind of victim complex which is why he's always so damn defensive. But when he snaps out of that he's not nearly so bad.
Gatti was sloppy at times but out on a good show. Couldn't have done any better to erase the ugly loss to Floyd.
No shit... thats what you have to worry about. If the judges have the balls to do the right thing no matter how unpopular it would be (thats what I was worried about in Raheem-Morales, because Raheem potentially derailed the Pac show down and I didn't think the judges would give it to Raheem. Hell, one tried to give it away having Raheem only up by two rounds.)
No wonder the judges gave Baldy the fight...Zab embarassed the sport with all that prancing around and thigh-grabbing.
* I know that Baldomir deserved to win, but it's still a surprise that the judges saw it that way.
Well said....
Youre a Republican so you really have no sense of reality anyway. If these two fight Ill bet you your membership here that PBF beats his ass. PBF wins you leave. Oscar wins I leave. Then you can take a hike a dodge these message boards harder than GW Bush and the man in your avatar dodged the draft!
Floyd beat Castillo. Floyd losing to Judah would be a fluke. Floyd has a better resume than Judah and beat people I don't think Judah could beat and in some cases Judah would get TKOd by people Floyd beat (Castillo, Corrales, Chavez).
What are you trying to say? I don't think anyone doubts that Castillo is a better fighter p4p than Judah. I'd pick Castillo over Judah at 140 OR 147.
Without a doubt its better. You no longer have a champ that is afraid to defend it and makes up injuries while jogging when it was known he was being dropped in sparring sessions with nobodies.
Exactly... that's what made it bad. Baldomir didn't look good in winning. He looked shitty.
While I was watching the fight, I was just shaking my head like "You must be joking, right?". This was not Tyson-Douglas, Baldomir didn't fight some kind of great fight and just overwhelm Judah like Buster Douglas did. Judah just seems to suck that badly. Judah lost the fight well before Baldomir beat him. That was ridiculous. Why?
Yeah, but A Judah on his game was knocked out by Kostya with one punch. Knocked down by Spinks (LOL) and Millet. And seriously hurt for ONE round by Baldomir.
I think Judah wins. But what makes me uneasy is that Gatti WILL land and Judah's chin is breakable. Especially since Baldomir hurt him as much as he did.
gatti beat judah? lol since when has gatti been able to beat a boxer or an a level fighter? it doesnt matter which judah shows up for that fight, either way he stops gatti. a judah on his game wouldnt be healthy for gatti.
Yeah... I do see that happening. I just don't think hes defensively sound enough to stay far away from Gatti for 12 rounds, but he could still win.
If you were Gatti, wouldn't you make this fight after beating Baldy and then retiring?
Man, talk about a retirement. He would retired looking great and say he beat Zab and was the champ. I never thought Gatti would be able to say that.
But Zab is somewhat elusive and Zab is a big puncher too.
chico may not be the slickest boxer out there, but when you take into account Zab's chin (or lack of one) and Chico's power, I think if chico can just land on him, he's out. I just dont see judah being able to stand up to that much power. He'd have to jab his ass off just to keep diego at arms length to try and outbox him to win...not an easy night for zab.
I see Diego taking a punch to be able to hit Zab. Imagine how much running Judah would be doing to stay away from Chico?
Zab would put Diego on his ass quite a few times...Zab's speed+power would hurt Corrales' bad. corrales has the reach on him but zab's speed+power+he's a southpaw = trouble for diego
I think you have two people that weren't as good as they were hyped to be. Saying that, I think Harrison is the better of the two. I think he wins and possibly by TKO.
I still like Judah, but the thing with Judah losing to Baldomir is that it hurt his stock. Baldomir truly is a bum. No redeeming qualities. Defense... nope. Power... hell no (still dented Judah's chin). Speed... nope. Offense... nope. All that guy had was determination.
Gatti will have determination and a little power.
I think Judah will win, but not by TKO/KO or convincingly as I thought he would beat Gatti before losing to Baldomir.
What's the worst part of Judah's defeat is that he won't take responsibility for losing. Someone posted an interview with Judah from Puerto Rico. He's still in denial. It wasn't his fault. Remember at first King was at fault.
Judah doesn't need to be in denial when he's fighting Floyd.
Wanna bet a 5 bil against Floyd with Judah?
gatti wont land on judah atleast not often, judah will be able take what gatti will land.
kostya was one of the hardest p4p punchers in the game when he fought judah. spinks, well thats another story lol....
so many people fell off the judah bandwagon, im gonna bet a half paycheck on him beating pbf. lol the odds are going to be sky high, i have a feeling that zab will win that fight and start a trilogy. both zab and pbf want that trilogy money.....
To me, you can't really blame Castillo. The guy he was fighting just wanted to survive.
It also seemed to me that Castillo wasn't too motivated for this fight. That's the impression I got from his facial expressions and interviews before the fight.
Baldo cracked Judah's chin and he's slower and weaker than Gatti.
Gatti looks like Mayweather compared to Baldo looking like Gatti in floyd versus Gatti.
I agree, Im just sayin Gatti will get his ass handed to him again. But lets look at the Mayweather fight. Sure Floyd takes a better shot than Judah, but Gatti could even tap Floyds chin. He landed 10 power shots, most of those were to the body. Gatti is slow and Judah is fast like Floyd, when he wants to be. And what if Gatti doesnt get to land anything clean? And even if he does, his power is nothing special at anything above 135. I honestly cant say how bad Judahs beard is, but if it is as weak as everyone says than I guess Gatti has a shot. But its a long shot IMO
Yeah you're right. Harrison is a pussy. He'll be a heavyweight slapping around Guin. But I will bet you Harrison wins?
Nope, he does not stop Guinn. I'll bet 500 million on that.
Reyes was LOSING all the rounds. = NO CONTROVERSY.
How come Mexicans call Trinidad a cheater for low blows?
but none of them call Castillo a cheater when he low blows just as much?
I think what Diego is trying to argue is that RJJ had his opponents beat before fighting them. They were already discouraged before lacing up the gloves, etc.
Problem is, he would have been exposed before the Tarver fight. Not all 40+ fighters he fought before Tarver were intimidated.
But it does seem like Tarver was the one who seemed genuinely confident in his ability to beat RJJ.
didnt see it
why?
That's where I disagree. No way is Baldomir the better man in comparison to Zab. Zab is a better fighter period, in every category except chin and determination.
Styles DO make fights. Some fighters have the right style to beat other fighters. That's like saying Mayorga is better than Forrest because he beat him the first time (2 times according to some people). But if you look at it fairly, Mayorga can't hold a candle to Forrest.
Once again, no one is doubting you. But flukes don't mean anything. If you lose, you lose. That's all there is to it. The better man almost always wins in boxing, so if Judah beats Floyd, Judah is better, which would be EMBARRASSING for Mayweather.
Plus, you also can't forget. Guinn has benn given SO many chances to succeed and regain his footing in the division. And EVERYTIME he shows little effort in those fights. What will make people think he will do different this time? Plus, Harrison is england's fighter. He knows he will be written off and I just think Harrison is the one that steps up and wins this and I wouldn't be surprised if it is by TKO/KO, but then again he's a bitch.
Hmmmm..... I'm leaning towards Harrison also in this fight. But I can tell you one thing, neaither fighter has the power to KO one another.
Gatti can take a punch... well his facial tissue can't take the punches but his chin can.
The Judah that showed up against Baldo would slaughter Gatti?
I mean, you tell Gatti this is his last fight and he needs to put everything on the line? I wouldn't think a Judah win would be so clear cut.
As much of a turd as Judah is......he would absolutely slaughter Gatti.
Gatti would never fight Judah. Judah can punch, Gatti's people never put him in with punchers.
Baldomir & Damgaard are golden foes for Gatti.
Who knows if Gatti can take Judah's punch.
But I do know one thing, Zab can't take Gatti's. Baldomir had Judah running for a whole round. Spinks knocked down Zab.
What will Gatti's punch do? .
The Judah that showed up against Baldomir would not show up against Gatti, IMO.
How do you know Gatti can take the punch of a truly big puncher ? He hasn't faced any. Well, he fought Oscar....& was put down with an arm puch.
