Actually I didn't attack you, but you deserved to be attack for a bunch of BS about Leonard.
Where is your top 10 list, lol, let me guess you probably can't name 10 great fighters.
Not only Ray Leonard, but other great fighters like Durán, Trinidad, Chávez, and so on. I think you are just wasting your time with that discussion.
Oscar DLH? you're joking.
Ray Leonard? That guy is nothing but a runner and he got a lot of faggot bad-ass decisions over Hagler and Hearns.
Roberto Duran lost to all the elites of his era. ALthough the Leonard fight was nothing but a joke.
Julio Cesar Chavez? lol! This is funny.. I mean he has his laurels... but not that great.
And I respect your opinions.
But for placing Trinidad up there... it only means you're just a biased fan.
I;m a biased PAC fan but I base my conclusions on results and how a win is achieved.
You're list is a bogus one.
I do agree hagler, ALi, RAY ROB, should be there... the rest are all bogus and it just means you're a biased latino fan.
It's just crystal clear that you have not followed Durán, Trinidad, Chávez, DLH, or Leonard. If you took time to see their level of opposition, the things they have achieved, the fact that they are multiple division champions, and the type of fights in which they were involved, you would understand.
By the way, Leonard is not Latino, so I don't take your accusation too seriously, just like I don't take your opinion of Pacquiao. Maybe some other time, you will understand that Pacquiao is very good, but so overrated that it's ridiculous already.
Actually... you should look to your fighter PBF first. He's still fighting a bum who lost to a complete unknown.. all for the sake of an easy buck and a sure win.
PAC took on elites after elites his whole life while going to the top and he demolished them in destructive fashion.
And when I say demolished... I meant every meaning of the word.
actully, floyds overall resume blows pac's out of the water. pac has not been fighting elites his whole life at all. what hes done is awesome, but dont forget that he lost to morales once, and it was a draw against jmm. dont get too carried away. that being said, hes top three on my p4p.
also, zab isnt a bum. i remember a while ago when everyone said floyd was ducking zab. floyd goes through with the fight that he was never going to take and now hes fighting a bum. you cant win with haters
The fact is, if you're the top dog, there are certain standards he must comply with. Standards which doesn't apply to mere pit fighters.
One of those high standards is not fighting bums when there are tons of competition around.
I've seen PBF in action and he has skill. But talent alone is not a solid basis for being the top dog. It must be proven by a results and solid reputation.
And right now. PBF is sullying his reputation by fighting a bum when everybody knows its just all for the money.
but the only one that really wants to fight him is zab but he was exposed. hatton castillo margarito he either beat them or they ask for 2 much, in hattons case he said he aint ready. so he doesnt have to much to choose from i mean before the mitchell fight i have to agree there were other fights he could of taken back then. right now no other choice for him might as well get paid right?
PAC's competition is just as tough and he had to beat the best in order to get in the top.
DOn't tell me PAC's opponents were BOzos. We don't have a sound boxing program here and opportunities are hard to come by. Only the most exceptional boxer will emerge as the top Pinoy fighter in the world. And PAC has proven that.
PBF isn't fighting Margarito, Cotto, hatton, or settling it with Castillo. PAC has fought and has voiced his intention to fight the best if they will fight him. That in itself is reason enough to take him out of the top spot.
im sure he had compatition before he hit ti big againts barrera and morales. but those 2 are his biggest that are world recognized. lately pbf has faugh a couple bums, margarito recently got an offer but turned it down, hatton says he wasnt ready for him, castillo he already beat him twice even tho is contraversial, no clue why not fighting cotto. zab before he was exposed for a bum he was suppose to be a real test

the fight with zab is more of a personal thing. pbf has been in more comatition all around through his carrere and pacman has just had 3 big fights. so he sits at number 3 on my list. with pbf as on and winky as 2, i might still consider putting pacman as 2 but winky is a solid all around skilled fighter
I am.... But not comparable to this era. Where PAC is beating Elites like no other featherweight ever did.
pac has beaten two elite fighters, losing to one of them the first time. hes doing great, but get off his nuts. with the exception of those fighters his resume is decent at best
I am.... But not comparable to this era. Where PAC is beating Elites like no other featherweight ever did.
He might be remembered as the best featherweight from this era(early 2000's), but top 10 P4P is way too much. I like Pacquiao, but you have to be real. Here are some fighters who would still be above him because of their resume and achievements.
Ray Robinson
Ray Leonard
Marvin Hagler
Roberto Durán
Wilfredo Gómez
Wilfred Benítez
Pernell Whitaker
Julio César Chávez
Salvador Sánchez
Félix Trinidad
Oscar De La Hoya
Carlos Monzón
Muhammad Ali
Those are off the top of my head. Find about their achievements before putting them below Pacquiao.
If he beats JMM and beats Barrea again.
Then he's the greatest featherweight of all time and a top 10 p4p overall.
Are you aware of the fact that there have been many terrific fighters in the history of the sport? It's not like Pacquiao is an all time god or anything. I could mention 10 fighters with better resumes than Pacquiao and still, they may not be top 10 of all time.
lets also not forget that morales has never been beaten as badly as his fight with pac, y'all just cant accept the fact that pac does what he does
I'll say this much.
If Pac rematches and beats Barrera for the second time...then rematches and beats J.M.M.
I say he deserves to be ranked as high as he is. Like I pointed out the J.M.M. fight is a question mark.
and I'm not saying his achievements aren't impressive to say the least. They are and more.

no he didn't, pac made a strong statement in the last couple rounds of that fight, i really wish alot of people on this board would go back and watch that fight again.. i'm tired of people saying Marquez "dominated" the fight after the 1st round, total bs.
He didn't dominate Pac, but I had him winning 7 of the last 11 rounds after the first. I scored it 113 - 113. I have to say I originally scored it 114 - 112 for JMM, but after watching the fight again I had to change my scorecard.
Um, are you forgetting to add MAB to Pacs list?
Why are you not sold on Marquez? He's interchangeably top 3 within his own division...
Since 2004 boss.
Pac fought Barrera in 2003.

right.....
Everyone is getting excited over Pac's latest win over Morales.
Lets not forget: Morales has lost 3 of his last 5 fights.
JMM made pac look dumb in the ring, the only thing that saved pac from loosing that fight was the knockdowns. Also, although he looked great against EM II, he lost to EM, so in my eyes he has lost 2 of his most recent fights.
correct.

Mayweather, Winky, then Pacquiao- if Manny keeps beating big names, he could eventually be #1, but to do so, he might have to go up in weight, which would probably not be a good move, but he's a badass, and you never can tell.
I have the same top 3. I agree that if Pac wants be on the cover of EA fight night, he will have to move up in weight. Beating Barrera and Marquez may put him #2.

gatti chico castillo twice cahvez corely agustus and hernandeez thats alot more talent than pacman hes beat so far.
Thanks, I don't have to say that, now.
I can definitely see how people have Pacquiao top 2-3. Just the fact that he has knocked out two legends in his last handful of fights puts him in the top 5. What really drives him up there however is that he showed in the 2nd Morales fight that he is able to adapt. He came with a fight plan, lost some of the early rounds, started using the right hand and going to the body, and came out the victor.
Pacquiaos recent record, competition level, and performance level are top 2-3 p4p material.

I really dont know about the Marquez fight being FOTY material....and Morales is really the only "P4P" fighter he's fought since 2004.
I'm still not sold on Marquez being a legitimate top ten fighter, and we certainly can't call Velasquez one. But sure competitive Pac was and very dominant.
I still say while not overrated......he's ranked way too high.
