This fight will sell more than the Clottey fight. Floyd will be pissed again. He has become an irrelevant figure in boxing. You get an article about him once a month and it's about him avoiding the handcuffs.
You guys still don't get it.
Floyd came out of retirement to solve his money problems. He didn't come out intending to fight the ones people want him to fight. He went to Don King to see if he could make more than what he makes in one fight, then retire for good and forget about boxing forever. He didn't come out to prove something. But the thing is he doesn't know how to get out without looking like a p***sy.
Boxing is becoming more of a hindrance to him now. That's reality. Anyone who comes back from retirement doesn't come back in a full-pledge kind of way.
Sorry bro but I beg to differ. He came back and declared that he's back to recapture what was his. He is obviously referring to the P4P crown. He couldn't sit on the sidelines watching Pacquiao getting all the accolades. That was right after the Pac-DLH. I think he must have thought that Pac was gonna be an easy fight then...until Pac recently transformed into a multi-dimensional fighter. Pac later on demolished Hatton and then followed by the destruction of Cotto. SInce then, Floyd's been acting scared and having some dounts on whether he can easily take on the Pacman the way he initially thought. That's why the accusation and speculation of steroids use. He once said that all Pac should do is say it himself that he wants to fight Floyd Mayweather. That's been done, but no fight. Then he wants OSDT up to 14 days. That's been agreed to then changes that condition to "OSDTup to the fight". Pac finally agreed to that as well and was reported all over the net. But he kept silent and when the Pac-Marg contract was signed, he came out and said there was no negotiation. Why wait until the guy is already committed to say that there was no negotiations going on? When pressed further for a Pac-Floyd fight in the near future, he all of a sudden declares that he's on vacation and that boxing is not in his mind. The timing of all this is so suspicious of him really avoiding the real P4P king. I like him but he is obviously having some doubts. You can't enter the ring against someone like Pacquiao with even the slightest shed of doubt in yourself. Otherwise, you'll get demolished like everyone else.
still going to be a major hurdle in the mayweather negotiations. if this fight did less than 1 million buys there is no way Mayweather will ever accept anything less than 55-45, and honestly I don't think he should
Unfortunately for Mayweather though, Pacquiao has more money than a former doughnut seller could ever wish for. This is more about pride than the money. I don't think at this stage of his career, Pacquiao will also not accept a fight where the opposition gets more. Not even a 51-49 in favor of Mayweather. Pacquiao does not really need Mayweather. Even George Foreman says so.
The performance last night was very impressive but honestly, he probably needs a few more fights at top level before calling out the likes of Pac. He's still pretty raw against Pac, Floyd, or even JMM.
Pacquiao. Floyd is a defense specialist but he has never faced anyone like Pac.
1. Pac's work rate will force Floyd to defend all 12 rounds with almost no rest.
2. Pac's punches come from different angles. That's one thing that Floyd hasn't experienced. Sooner or later, Pac will land. And we all now know that Pac strikes with intent to hurt, not just to score points.
3. Pac's speed will...without a doubt, penetrate that stupid shoulder roll especially coming from a southpaw. Just as Iron Mike has said before: "Everyone has a game plan until they get hit". Truely applies to the Pacman.
4. Pac has proven that he can take a punch. He's gonna throw a variety of 5/6 puch combos without respecting Floyd feather-like fists. I can see Floyd thinking...WTF?
Can I get an intelligent reply please? And don't even say "So and so is bigger and stronger etc...Pac's never fought a true welter BS".
So what? if he talked about steroids, address the steroid situation. What does his appearance have to do with it? Act like a friggin' adult.
If manny isn't taking steroids, sue him. Pacquiao said he would sue ; where is the lawsuit?
How does Floyd Sr talking about someone else using steroids hurt your feelings so much that you need personal attacks?
You guys love to disrespect the Mayweather family. And the fans of Floyd. But I see them acting more maturely than you do. That's the irony.
Dude, you're acting a relative of the Mayweathers. You're losing a lot of the arguments and it's making you look like a Mayweather.
Guess what??? Puerto Ricans have beat Flash Elorde (KO'd by Carlos Ortiz), Sugar Ray Leonard (KO'ed by Macho Camacho in the 5th round), Roberto Duran (Beat Sugar Ray Leonard by 12 round decision).
History will not change. Pacquiao will get KO'ed by another Elite Puerto Rican Killa....
Sorry bro, Duran was Panamanian, not Puerto Rican. http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/images/faces/no.gif
The Marquez that fought Floyd will get killed by the Pacquiao that demolished Cotto. I haven't heard Marquez calling out Pac recently like he use to. Maybe he knows he won't be able to hang with the monster anymore.
Floyd is going to give Shane a beat down the last time I seen Floyd this mad was the Gatti fight when he promised to embarrass him in front of his fans May 1 Floyd will embarrass Mosley next
Oh C'mon dude! Where the hell have you been? That's what FLoyd says every time so you can shell out $55. Sorry, I've vowed many times before not to pay for any of FLoyd's fights. Dude is arrogant and have declared openly that he's only there for the money. It's a 70-30, May-Shane split. Meaning that if I pay $55, roughly about $38 of that goes to Floyd. I just don't want the dude to get my money because he never performs and he's arrogant. I'll watch the replaya though! DOn't take this personally, it's only my opinion.
Given your 200 posts per day (all about Pacquiao), it's actually shocking how little you've learned about the sport.
Ali got knocked down and lost to Frazier. Ali lost and got his jaw broken by Norton. Foreman, meanwhile, knocked Frazier down half a dozen times in two rounds and blew him out. Foreman nearly decapitated Norton.
So how did Ali-Foreman go?
Mayweather knocked Corrales down five times and stopped him in a ridiculous shutout. Castillo "beat" Floyd and gave him his toughest fights. Apparently. Bevcause that is the template everyone claims on gow to beat Floyd. So, given that Castillo beat Floyd, and Floyd destroyed Corrales, there's no way that Castillo-Corrales will be competitive...right?
I can repeat this example a zillion times throughout boxing history. But I don't have to tell the knowledgeable fans that.
And, btw, :lol1:
Floyd beat a washed up JMM.
I don't give Khan much of a chance against Bradley. I think he gets stopped. I'm very interested in Marquez-Bradley though.
Marquez would send Bradley back to the amateurs.
dela hoya promised that he will fight the winner of cotto-margarito.
after margarito won, dela hoya avoided him and opted to fight a midget.
Alot of fighters have a grudge against oscar,For him not giving them
paydays.Tony seems not to like my boy canelo.Would like to see a fight
with tony and alvarez.
The reef was due to ODLH going all over the net campaigning for a Pac-JMM 3. He kept preaching that Marg should never be allowed to fight again...never. That's what infuriated the tornado. BTW, Floyd Mayweather is a COWARD. lol Just wanted to say that!
According to a news editor, Alvarez was advised by GBP to do the Mayweather strategy. Pay the penalty, but ensure the win and stay underrated. Someday, people will forget about it.
Every boxing fan who truly wants to see a Pac-May fight shouldn't order this fight. I know one thing for certain, Mayweather is not getting a dime form me. lol
Watching the replay baby!!!
The mofo brags about having so much money while living on IRS credit. Damn, he has all kinds of financial obligations coming his way: the lawsuit (he'll more likely be paying a hige sum), the battery charge (baby mama will want at least 7 figures), assault charge (out of court settlement for the poor security guard), lawyer fees (ouch!), IRS (3.5 smackaroons), and I won't be surprised if he's also losing on gambling (which I believe is the biggest bill of all listed). LOL
for the fa990ts claiming that pacroid has been chasing floyd, stfu. because pac have of yet to agree to any of floyd's demands while floyd as agreed to all of pacroid's *****-made demands.
What gives Floyd the right to demand sh1t? He hasn't proven anything. He's only the queen of boxing. The king is the one that makes demands.

That's pretty pathetic. Floyd doesn't get any credit for beating a 39-yr-old dude. He may have gotten some credit for beating Marquez if he didn't let Marquez go up 2 weight classes, or at least showed up at the agreed cathweight. Maybe if he went down to lightweight and beat Marquez, I would have respected it. So, this undefeated crap doesn't really mean anything. There'a shit load of undefeateds right now which goes head-to-head with Floyd's record: Julio Ceasar Chaver Jr., Joan Guzman, Juan Manuel Lopez, Edwin Valero, Yuryorkis Gamboa, Timothy Bradley etc...I can go on and on and on. That's where Floyd belongs. A bunch of undefeateds, but untested. A decade from now, nobody will be talking about him. Perhaps they will...about ducking everyone he should have fought that could have mattered.
wtf?, Did you start watching boxing since de JMM fight?
I boxed professionally from 1995 to 2004. What about you? You watched? lmao
Is drug can only be effectively check 6 weeks before the fight? If the answer is yes, then pac should subject himself to blood test, period! But if not then why force him to that day of blood test while you can adjust to another day, huh? What ever the reason or effects on Pac physically or mentally is immaterial if blood test is needed badly, but if not then just respect his reasoning or belief!:boxing:
Steroids do not flush away from your system for at least 3 months. If you are taking steroids, you can be tested after the fight and it will show. So I guess what Roach wants is that Pac gets tested a couple of months before and right after the fight. CLEAR?
Pacquiao wins in spite of Floyd's defense mastery.
1. Pacquiao's work rate is unmatched. Floyd is great defensively but I don't think he will be able to avoid all 100 punches/rd average. Floyd will be defending every second of each round for 12 rounds. I don't remember him doing that before.
2. Floyd will be dealing with uncharted territory in terms of avoiding punches. Besides the work rate, let's not forget that Pac doesn't throw these punches in traditional fashion. They will come from different/weird angles so I expect a significant amount to land sooner or later. There is no sparring partner that exists today who can imitate and prepare Floyd for it.
3. Speed. Pac is like Castillo when you press the fastforward button on your remote. If Castillo landed against Floyd, who can honestly say Manny won't? Combine this with the two reasons above and you have a freaking daredevil coming at you.
4. The ability to throw 5/6-punch combos. Combine that with the three above and I can imagine that Floyd will be like...WTF? Just like what Diaz, Hatton, ODLH, and Cotto went through.
5. Power. We all witnessed it last night. Not even a plaster enforced Margarito knocked down Miguel Cotto. Miguel Cotto was victimized twice by Manny's power in the first 4 rounds. Manny doesn't punch...he throws strikes with intent to hurt, not just to score points. What's really scary is that Manny's punches appear to be getting stronger now that his body is starting to settle in this newfound weight he's in. Expect that power to grow even more in 4-5 months. Just like what Iron Mike said before - "Everyone has a game plan until they get hit". For Floyd's sake, let's hope he doesn't catch the same type of punch Hatton took. Floyd, you're in deep sh_t!
6. The southpaw stance. Manny's left is made-to-order for the stupid shoulder roll. It's almost lined up perfectly!
7. Ability to take a punch. Who would have imagined Pac raising both of his arms and allowing Cotto to fire away at will and feast on him? Because he wanted to test Cotto's power? That is just freakin insane.
8. Killer's instinct. The moment Manny senses you're hurt, it will rain and pour! Cotto was lucky to be knocked down close to the end of the round. Otherwise...
9. Corner. Have you heard of a guy named Freddie Roach?
10. Prayers. If God grants prayers based on the number praying, I don't there will be more than 90 million praying for Floyd to win.
11. Pressure. Floyd will be under so much pressure. He cares too much about his "0". That's the big problem with EGO. Manny will fight with no pressure of losing. He is suppose to lose.
Nuff said.
THE NEXT TIME SOMEONE SAYS "SO AND SO IS BIGGER AND STRONGER THAN PAC AND PAC HAS NEVER FOUGHT A NATURAL....", THAT MOTHERF____R DOESN'T REALLY KNOW WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT. Damn it, it cost me $300 tonight! POUND FOR POUND MEANS DEFYING THE WEIGH SCALE AND PAC EMOBODIES THE TRUE MEANING. I am against a Pac-Mayweather fight. Mayweather should be challenging middleweights if he wants to be even considered in the top tier P4P. Manny, you are one tough SOB. Congratulations! Thank you for being around in my lifetime.
Why are Mexicans like this asshole we have here so dumb & ignorant when it comes 2 this issue??? Do they realize how stupid they look??? & I bet its not ONLY the Puerto Ricans who feel that Margarito is a dirty little cheater. A lot of people of all races, not just Boriquas say he's a ****in disgrace 2 the sport. You Mexicans just don't want 2 admitt it.
I agree with you brother. El Talegon is an uneducated, brainless ass. But keep in mind that he may not be Mexican. The whole world thinks Margarito is a cheater. We just can't tell since when he's been doing it. Puts a lot of asterisk on all his wins.
Link to some racist comments made by Floyd Mayweather against Manny Pacquiao. You all be the judge.

Kobe Bryant said in an interview with ESPN that Michael Jordan must be on performance enhancing drugs. According to Kobe, in the sport of basketball, you don't retire, play baseball and be inactive for 2 years and then come back and win three NBA championships consecutively. Kobe's dad thinks MJ is on some kind of a drug called A-side meth.
Pac beats Floyd in a showdown!

Can I get an intelligent reply please? And don't even say "So and so is bigger and stronger etc...Pac's never fought a true welter BS". That’s been said so many times, proven wrong just as many times, and it no longer makes sense. Hear me?
