Man!....Valero looks like a beast...even looks more menacing with that big ass gash on his forehead in his fight with DeMarco...
He looks like a cross between Christian Bale and King-Kong
The performance last night was very impressive but honestly, he probably needs a few more fights at top level before calling out the likes of Pac. He's still pretty raw against Pac, Floyd, or even JMM.
I think you're both making too much of those issues.
I dont think Valero keeping his hands low is a big problem because even though it's unconventional by today's standards....i didnt see it as a technique defficiency problem as much as Valero simply uses the old school John L Sullivan stance.
And him having his mouth wide open can be easily fixed in the gym as he gets tougher training camps, tougher sparring partners to improve his conditioning.
don't get me wrong bro I'm not saying that Edwin Valero isn't the truth, I knew that before yesterday and I still know that. everyone is on his cock right now because he was showcased yesterday but I BEEN knew about the guy and how he fights and he's improved a lot but he also makes the same mistakes that will hurt him in the long run.
in order for him to be a complete fighter he needs to complete his defense and make it tighter, he stands in punching range literally with his hands by his side, Pacquiao would knock him out Hatton style if he does that, all you need is a short, powerful inside right or left hook and you'll rock him because in those moments of close exchanges he's there to be hit with his chin sticking out, his ability is that he can take it, but how long before he eats too many shots and no longer can..

im proud of Edwin Valero...his record now is 27-with 27 KOs....the guys a Wrecking Machine....Respect to Edwin Valero..
Everybody needs to hop off this guys dick for a second and remember that the cut wasn't in a place where it could have caused him TOOOO much trouble, Cotto had a WAY worse cut against Clottey and displayed more heart for continuing simply because of the location of the cut. don't get me wrong yo much respect to Edwin Valero but if he doesn't learn how to keep those hands up I fear for him when he reaches that elite level in terms of opposition..
its not the hands i'm worried about.. its him swinging with his mouth wide open that's the problem.
First good coutner puncher he faces will displace his jaw, mark my words.

true dat, Valero got some work to do on his style, if he had a trainer who can preserve his animalistic style and just add a bit more technique to him, he is an awesome counter puncher and has power to give away but he can get a little too brute at times and open up causing him to get hit. I look forward to seeing him fight in the future, he's a very promising fighter but he needs to tune up defensively IMO
