Well Scull almost fought an identical fight to Devin Haney and lost. Devin won by a landslide while Scull lost unanimously to Canelo
Even as at least in my judgement; Jose Ramirez outperformed Canelo Alvarez. So what was the difference? Why was Canelo given the decision while Ramirez did not?
They fought basically and identically the same fight against so-called runners However, only one ended up winning their fight.
the difference is devin Haney landed all the hard impact shots and in the Canelo fight Canelo landed all the hard impactful shots.. devin fought like a guy who was scared to get hit, scull fought like a guy there to survive.. on top of that Canelo held scull to 19% also devin outlanded Ramires by 20 punches while scull got outlanded.
only thing similar is both Devin and scull moved way to much
Not buying it. Those slow flat footed come forward fighters are tailor made for Mayweather, and he still goes the distance. Needed for Ortiz to drop his guard to put him down
Doesn’t matter what you’re buying what matters is reality. As far as flat footed what is issac Cruz, or Rollie, or Ryan, or Leo? 3 of those guys was unrated in the top 10 and the one that was is a guy who made his name at 118/122 not 130?
No better than Guerrero, Ortiz and Madonna 2x
Bro those 3 guys are VASTLY better than anybody tank has ever been in with. The first time in tank career he ever fought a fighter within the top 5 of his division was Frank Martin who was #5 exactly. I like Frank Martin but he’s never been in or won a big fight ever.
Yeah after big head haney and his extreme weight cuts and excessive hugging that should be DQ'd in many fights I don't want to hear his complaints, fact is he had no defense and got man handled and steam rolled by crying ryan. If haney had a jaw defense and power he would beat Ryan no matter 3 pounds
You do realize Ryan Garcia took PEDs right?
Boxrec p4p list is ass but Canelo probably still is ahead of both he’s done more and has fought better comp on a more consistent basis.. not that hard to figure out
has avoided more comp on a consistent basis more like, not hard to figure out
Remind me again how long it took Bivol to fight Beterbiev hm both those guys been in the same division they entire career haven’t moved up in weight and both won they titles around the same month in the exact same year? How does it make sense to bash the guy for not fighting everybody in his 3rd/4th division yet give passes to guys in they first division who can barely make fights they supposed to be taking already
He was "ducking" Morrell jr, and he fought him; he got a lot of heat for that. Let's dissect the so-called lineal champion and why canelo fought him. Callum won a vacant diamond belt against Erik Skoglund, defended against Nieky Holzken*, George groves, Ndam and John Ryder, are you going to tell me this was a better choice than Benavidez? Remember his first words when he fought for the first time at the 168 limit, "I won't fight another Mexican ever again." There wasn't Mexican at the top, wait, Benavidez was called the Mexican monster; that's why he didn't fight the Ecuadorian/Dominican/Mexican Benavidez. The guy is a fraud, and if he calls himself a king, he must be held to a king standard.
Before and after the super 6 Callum was calling out David to fight, and just like when Caleb was calling him out for a unification davjd passed on them fights.. heck callum fought Beterbiev and David also passed on that fight. You can’t discredit a guy to try and hype somebody up who won’t even get into the ring… also the don’t fight Mexicans thing came after the Chavez jr fight not at 168 Canelo first said it in 2016/17, didn’t they kidnap his brother in Mexico before that fight I believe. Ppl just dug that quote up years later to act like he ain’t wanna fight David.. in reality Callum was THE MAN, then it was Saunders to slick, then it was plant really got the American boxing style it wasn’t until after Canelo lost to Bivol that anybody even started mentioning David.. who himself really didn’t even step up until the plant/andrade fights in 2023.

So you wanted a 14 year old Benavidez to fight in the Super 6 tournament. Because that’s how old Benny was when that tournament happened.
I know people on crack that make more sense.
Are you high? Callum smith won the super 6 David won that fake title after the tournament and ducked the winner
You're not slick, stop moving the goal post.
The post you replied to said this:
Then you replied that:
You were asked about 168 resumes and you said Charlo's was better than Benavidez.
my friend before the plant fight what the hell had David done at the weight class? Nothing at all basically you argue inf that a guy who super accomplished and a p4p fighter from one division below isn’t above a guy who hasn’t stem anybody or done anything in your division.. idk about you but Teofimo Lopez is a better win than Mario barrios regardless of being at welter or not
——-
So according to you, Benavidez ducked the ATG Callum Smith who came to collect a paycheck from Canelo. That sums it up?
Is Benavidez some great? Homie entire name is built off not fighting Canelo? The first halfway decent fight he took was vs plant who had just got KO’d. All the fights Canelo took for undisputed David got offered first and swerved
Certainly a duck for sure, but businesswise certainly looking like a very smart duck so far...
Option 1) Fight Boots immediately for 1.7 mil and lose his belt and never see daylight again
Option 2) Fight a chump change 150k for a victory lap defense in America, followed by over $1 mil for a voluntary defense in Japan against a guy significantly easier than Boots and very likely keeping his belt, fight a mando here and there for chump change until Boots is willing to up the offer and get a total of over 3 mil for losing the belt and then never see daylight again.
Option 3) Fight a chump change 150k for a victory lap defense in America, followed by over $1 mil for a voluntary defense in Japan against a guy significantly easier than Boots and very likely keeping his belt, fight a mando here and there for chump change until Boots vacates the belt and then fight others in easy unifications to earn more than 1.7 mil and stay a "champion" long term.
Right now he's at option 2 or 3. Despite what Eddie wants to say, everyone knows if Boots is really desperate for going undisputed, I'm sure he'll cave to Norman's counter and offer over 2mil especially if that is the last belt left given that he caved for Stanionis as well and Norman definitely knows it. Now if Norman loses to Sasaki...well, he lost his bet but the % is certainly in his favor.
I feel like it’s more so business than a duck, for one boots himself went from making 200k last yr to 2mil the same thing Norman wanted, even tho Eddie say he losing money on boots fights ppl like him so he worth it according to them.. but Tom Norman perspective he arguably had the best win of any of the welter champs stopping santillan, he got offered the least of the 3, and was the only one who they wanted to bring o Philly..
for them it’s probably like it took you until 27 to get a belt you can’t really make weight, they 23 all the big money fights are on the way he got more leverage than boots really if he wants that belt..
Charlo had a better resume than Benavidez at 168?
{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","title":"*****.gif","data-attachmentid":32456552}
Charlo has a better resume than Benavidez in general, it’s amazing that somehow davjd fighting Andrade who wasn’t a 168 guy who doesn’t have any top 5/10 wins besides vanes a guy who also ducked Jermell Charlo and pulled out a fight 2wks before the fight is a good win. But Charlo who Andrade ran from at 154, who was undisputed and a p4p fighter is a bad win?
By your argument boots fighting Blair cobbs is better than fighting Teo
Question why don’t y’all judge David or others the same way y’all judge Canelo? I mean David was at 168 before Canelo he ducked the super 6, he ducked unification fights with both Callum smith who was Lineal and the actual champion and #1 guy NOT David, and Caleb plant which was confirmed by both they manager.. when he got stripped of his title he ducked a shot at Beterbiev already for 2 belts at 175, the man got offers from the WBO and WBA to be a unified mando for Canelo and ducked outta that which is why the WBC didn’t order the fight earlier.. literally last yr when he had his chance to make Canelo drop the belt he wrote letters twice to NOT take the Canelo fight, on top of that when Beterbiev got hurt he ducked a offer from Turki to step in and face Bivol last June and said flat out in a interview on cigar talk that he was just capping and unless he got a retirement check he can’t even fight over there and he get paid with Al haymon?
even his resume I appreciate David facing plant, Andrade and Morrell… but his first halfway decent fight was a yr ago vs plant coming off getting KO’, Andrade who was a 35yr old small guy who has never beaten a single top fighter at any weight, gvozdyk was 39 coming off a 3yr retirement, and Morrell got 11 fights? I mean correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t Jermell Charlo MORE accomplished than Andrade with a better resume, on top of that didn’t Andrade DUCKED Jermell at 154 yet somehow Andrade is some crazy impressive win and David is a killer and Jermell just a cherry pick?
World Boxing Super Series
With second tier British fighters lmao
Is that the one that apparently Benny dodged ???
Sure wtv you say
them British fighters that David swerved just like he swerved a unbeaten Caleb plant and waited for him to get KO’d just like he swerved Beterbiev when he got offered a shot at 2 belts when he last got stripped. The first relavant fight David made was vs Caleb plant who had just gotten KO’d. This idea that David been putting in all this work is crazy
Conceived of by Showtime Boxing and spanning from 2009 to 2011, the Super Six tournament not only was crucial in their broadcast war against HBO sports, but also served as a means to get people interested in boxing. In fact, the tournament serves as one of my earliest memories of watching pugilism.
Benny’s first professional fight was in 2013 you fughin clown
Perfect example how far you nuthuggers will go to defend a duck
you do know they had another super 6 tournament AFTER the one with Ward right? Callum smith became lineal champion after winning in 2017/18
'Sets up a great rivalry. The talented but mentally fragile Kings coming up versus the hard nosed determined Rolly with less natural ability but the determination to push ahead and win'
No, brutally, what it tells you is there was one king at LW, Tank Davis, & there were a lot of, lets be kind, schmucks, who got kinda grouped behind Tank as though they were his natural rivals. No they weren't. None of them was any kind of threat to Tank at all. I would hold out a hope that 'Pit Bull' could do something, but all the others, Garcia, Romero, Haney, take em away & throw them away.
lol how? The guys tank fighting have immediately gotten they ass whooped directly after tank most of the time in much easier fashion and the one guy who actually won a fight got caught cheating? Rollie and Ryan ain’t elite fighters and Ryan had to cheat with weight and drugs to get a114-111 win vs devin?

How about the 168 resumes of Charlo, Munguía, Golovkin, etc?
Let's see why these guys earned a fight with Canelo, but Benavidez didn't. You gonna take up the challenge, or duck and run from it like your hero?
Realistically Ryder at the time of the fight, Charlo, GGG. Arguably munguia all had better resumes.. as far as why he fought them after going undisputed and beating all the champions at 168, in order he fought the then #2 lt heavy who now undisputed, fought the then current unified 160 champ. A top 5 mando, a then current undisputed 154 champion, then 2 top 5 unbeaten contenders one a former champion, now a unification fight with a unbeaten title holder…in that same time period davis fought a guy coming off a recent KO loss, a guy moving up in weight who with a resume on par with berlanga, a 39 yr old coming off a recent 3yr retirement, and a guy with 11 fights.
Actually, that's his best win, he won without the help from the judges. Lara, he got a gift. Old ggg, he lost the first fight hands down and an older ggg in the 2nd you could throw make a case for either one, the third was a joke, who else? Mosley, Cotto? They were old and past their prime, wait, ryder, fielding, smith, Yildirim, Hatton, Lopez, no, berlanga and Mungia.
Not to interrupt y’all back and forth but why don’t y’all ever use this same logic for guys like David? I mean it’s interviews from David promoter about him being cool with stalling and ducking unification fights with a unbeaten Caleb and a unbeaten lineal champion Callum smith..
somehow Canelo a cherry picking bum.. but David fight a recently KO’d plant, Andrade who was a small guy that had never fought a single top 5/10 fighter besides maybe vanes, Gvodyzk coming off a recent 3 yr retirement and a guy with 11 fights?…
personally I’m not a fan of all of Canelo picks and wish he would just get the Benavidez fight out the way so y’all can create the next so-called monster.. but y’all never seem to judge these guys or hold them to any type of accountability?
