Name a fight other than Benavidez that Canelo has avoided. Man has literally fought everybody
he ducked ggg for years and then benavidez for years. thats a very large chunk of his career right there. hes fought everyone...that he wanted to fight, and at the time he wanted to fight them. he obviously couldnt wait for benavidez to age, so he simply never fought him. canelo must be flying high right now that the division is completely dead, hes probably hoping no one legit comes around in the next couple years so he can fight tiny men moving up or bums like scull for awhile.
has avoided more comp on a consistent basis more like, not hard to figure out
Remind me again how long it took Bivol to fight Beterbiev hm both those guys been in the same division they entire career haven’t moved up in weight and both won they titles around the same month in the exact same year? How does it make sense to bash the guy for not fighting everybody in his 3rd/4th division yet give passes to guys in they first division who can barely make fights they supposed to be taking already
No hello, are YOU there. You’re naming a fighter he fought 3 times. How can he avoid someone he fought. Are you high?
he dropped his belt for him & only fought him after he didnt look so good after jacobs fight, if canelo was the guy who u say he is, he would have fought ggg first and not dropped his belt and waited until he got older & he would have fought benny as well but he didnt, i know its hard to take in but thats the truth, canelo is not that guy
i already told but u didnt want to hear, he dropped his belt for ggg = he avoided him, hello u there
he then waited for him to get older and after his not so great performance v jacobs he pops up and says yeah i want to fight u, it was jacobs who fought the ggg that was going great ko'ing everyone, canelo dropped his belt for that guy, its not hard to understand if u look at it

I hate when ppl say ****** stuff like this. Canelo and Jacobsen are 2 completely different styled fighters for 1, and 2, it’s not that he didn’t look so hot, Jacobs was just the most skilled guy and I wanna say the biggest guy he fought.
And Canelo fought him back to back. So once again, who has Canelo avoided

Nepotism to the fighter whose a draw, similarly to Gervonta Davis.
Obviously you also take into account his accolades, skills and ability, but Canelo is a declining fighter who's not performing at his best nor is taking the most challenging opposition available he shouldn't be top 5 at the present time. Perhaps in the past and is HOF worthy, but not now.
I have Inoue, Usyk, Crawford, Beterviev, Bivol, Rodriguez ahead of him, Nakatani has yet to fight a fellow HOF talent for now with Haney still somehow getting preferential treatment after losing and having definitive advantages.
Davis is on par with Alvarez when it comes to selecting his opposition as of now.
I like Alvarez more than most of you but lmao with having him this high:cool:
Its called “simple math”. One guy has 21 fights with a couple good wins and the other has 62 fights with a whose who of opponents over the last 19 years.
I completely forgot the judges gave him 5 rounds. jesus chirst I dont think he won any rounds that I remember.
All 4 judges had Canelo 4-0 up after 4 rounds. They were also in agreement on the other round Canelo won. All 3 cards were identical. I believe I scored it 118-110 Bivol. Nash out - His Excellency
I agree he hasnt done much in the past 2 years but I have a bigger question. Why is tank even on the list??
hes getting that american bump and because he has fought in a bunch of weight classes against bums while ducking everyone but they must be huge fantasy fans
Canelo won 5 rounds (on all 3 cards) vs Bivol in Bivol's weight division, if Bivol came down two divisions to fight the Mexican Great, he would win no more than 2 rounds. Canelo also beat Amir Khan, something Bivol has not done, so, that needs to be factored in as well. Nash out - His Excellency

Yes this is very true - Crawford also had to beat Khan. Before that no one rated him. Why are Beterbiev and Bivol running scared?
From a P4P perspective, Canelo has actually fought in multiple weight classes. Bivol and Beterbiev have not. That may be one of their criteria for rankings?
