He is the most boring heavyweight titlist I can ever remember. I can't imagine non-boxing fans sticking around for the KO.John Ruiz has him beat by a long shot.
If he cant beat Maskaev, he cant beat anybody important.
You know I haven't seen that fight yet. I have only seen 3 fights of his. And that was when I was at your house.
Sam is no longer a contender, Peter has a ways to go yet, he is still ver raw. Valuev's last fight was terriable.
Dude you know what I mean. Bottom line is the HW division is weak now and will remain that way. Your right Valuev should have done better, but eveybody is entitled to a bad day, Sam doesn't hold a major belt, and Peter does need more work. Audley Harrison had no Power for a guy that size and spent most of his time running from a guy that is questionable.
Maskaev kicked the shit out of Sam for the #1 spot for the WBC. And the the WBC turned around and gave the #1 spot to James Toney.
James "If you be quiet, you can hear me getting fatter" Toney.
After watching this fight I have to say a few things. Danny Williams is not a fat slob. Although he weighed in at 273 he looked to be in very good shape. Although he lacked punches, Williams stalked Harrison around the ring and threw with bad intentions. Williams defense was fantastic keeping his chin down and his hands up throught the fight. I can see Williams in a big tv fight in '06. Now for Harrison. Audley poses to much in the ring and his straight jabs lack any real power, his stamina is good and he also was in great shape but he has no real power to contend for a world title. Harrison is a skilled boxer, but to me he just doesnt do enough when in the middle of the ring. When Harrison was KD the punch he took was not flush, it was ontop of the head, towards the side really. Harrison has much to learn if he wants to continue to try to contend for a world title, but I dont really see that happening anytime soon. A williams/Brewster fight will be a very interesting fight I would like to see. Harrison needs alot of work.
I will disagree with a couple of things you said. Audley was absolutely horrible. His stamina sucked. They didn't fight for 8 rounds. And when Audley did throw some combos he was winded for the rest of the round. I thought this fight was a good showing for the up and coming talent we have in the HW division. Wich is nothing. Apart from maybe Peter and Valuev and Sam, there is nobody I have seen thats worth a crap.
my point is spinx couldnt crack an egg but at least kostya can bang.....
He can deffinatly bang. Zab can't hang. PBF is a bad bitch. The skill that guy has is unreal.
From what I have seen in both fighters, I think PBF will destroy Zab. Zab is a good boxer but he can't handle the superior speed, smarts, heart and power PBF has. I like both fighters, I don't see Zab being able to handle PBF. I personally don't think anybody can. I don't see PBF losing anytime soon to anybody.
I think Ruiz is going to get beat by Valuev. I just watched him fight Donald, and thought he won by 1 round. Valuev has never been KD by anyone that I know of. I hope they fight in the states.
what would lead you to believe that srl could ko him easy?
were not talking about middleweight srl either.
floyd could go down as one of the greats if he steps up his competition...he certianly has the talent
I personally don't think there would be a KO in this fight. I would go with a SD for SRL.
I got tickets to the fight, I hope its a good one. I know there is like 5 more fights on the undercard. I think it will be good for Brock to take on Tua. Tua has got a hard punch. If Brock wins, we will definately find out if he has a chin.
Larry Holmes dude. :rolleyes:For some reason I was thinking it was Mercer. Yes they were 2 great champs. I used to hate on Lewis. Now I wish he was still boxing.
Sad that it took his retiring for people to figure out how good he really was.
The only reason I wish he was still boxing is so that I would have somebody that I could really hate on. I have beat Ruiz to death. Lewis stayed around because he was that good. As for Ruiz...
We will soon find out what he has got when he fights Ruiz. Everybody is entitled to a bad day, and every fighter has had fights handed to them after they had clearly lost. It's the nature of the sport.
That's a toss up. I want BH, but I think it is better if JT wins, only because I don't know what would happen if BH wins. Who would he fight next, or would he retire?
Floyd would destroy leonard to an easy UD. sugar always tried running away from his opponents and tried winning by using his speed. Floyd is extremely quick and wouldnt have a problem outworking SRL imo
I find it highly unlikely that Mayweather would destroy Leonard. Sugar was one of the baddest dudes to grace a boxing ring.
