:wtf1:
there's really no good reason why he shouldnt already be suspended.
No ****ing shit, sherlock. Fact of the matter is, he's NOT suspended right now so maybe that'll change if he does it again.
Maidana accepted step aside money for GBP. If he wanted the fight with Khan that badly, he should have enforced his mandatory position.
Maidana is as much to blame as Khan for the fight not happening. Stop hating.
The guy lives with his mother; you'd accept step-aside money too.
Biggest money fight either could get and it's a fight that has broad appeal and will sell. It's not complicated...if you understand and follow the sport.
I think it makes him more interesting to be honest. It would be great if he came back, reclaimed a title, and after he beat his opponent, he would pull a "Mayorga" and snort a line while in the ring (the way Mayorga used to drink a beer).
Why? Who is Chad Dawson? The guy has won the world title and he can't attract flies, he can't fill up his own neighborhood. Why fight him? He's a good fighter but what does that mean?
I don't normally say stuff like this, but, STFU noob.
Man has never been on the moon.
911 was staged by the US government.
The pope is really a protestant.
Wlads punch didn't land.
My argument is quite clear and concise and there is no conspiracy theory. Perhaps you should take the time to watch it multiple times from the three angles or maybe you just need glasses. I'm not asking you to believe me, I'm asking you to objectively look at the slo-mo footage multiple times from the three camera angles.
What would you say then? When somebody is not laying on their back, but actually face down?
I'm sure most people would say he landed face first. Not literally face first, but it's what people say.
And it is very relevant, because it's almost impossible to do when you're fully conscious.
He fell forward when he was already on his knees.
Chambers wasn't covering the side of his head completely when Klitschko's hook connected. He was starting to move away, which caused his defense to open slightly, and he wasn't fast enough to avoid the hook.
He was moving back and that's why it hit his left glove and not the right side of his face. His head/face was BEHIND the punch the entire time.
No, in the vid I posted at 4:32 in slow motion you can see that Chambers glove is clearly behind the temple at the point of impact.
And if you look even more closely, you can see that Eddie's entire head is well behind Wlad's fist and it matters not the proximity of Eddie's right hand. I think you really need to watch it from all three angles at least 10 times each and then you'll start to see what I see.
no offence to the TS...but this is probably the worse thread I've ever read on boxingscene...EVER....it's clear at both 4:18 and 4:24 that Eddie got caught by a hard left hook and as a result got KTFO...and even if it was Wlad hitting Eddies Glove and Eddies glove KO'ing Eddie...then Wlad deserves even MORE credit as he hit something softer than his own hand which then KO'd Eddie. If you put more cushioning onto someones chin and then hit their chin, the chances of KO'ing them is much slimmer.
Sounds like you're unsure.
To be fair, from some angles it looks like it didn't land.
That said, horrible effort by Chambers, he didn't even try to win. Someone predicted that it would be similar to V Klitschko v Johnson, good call. But at least Chambers had the common decency not to talk shit while fighting scared.
I want to see an overhead angle of the punch.
If that didn't land. Chambers deserves and oscar for the acting.
He snapped his head to the side and collapsed face first into the floor. It is a natural reaction to break your fall with your hands/arms. He landed face first, without breaking his fall.
Actually, he didn't land face first, but that's beside the point and not even relevant.

Thank you for posting these, Dan. In that first sequence you posted, you can see just how far behind Eddie's head is from Wlad's fist. Eddie's left glove is in front of his head some and Wlad's hook is clearly hitting Eddie's left glove in that sequence. The trajectory that Wlad's punch took would've made it impossible for Wlad to hit Eddie in the head/face.
Whilst a man hitting the inside of another man's outstretched left glove can somehow defy the laws of physics and end up hitting said fighter on the right side of his head. What is this, a Bollywood movie?
Eddie's left glove was the closest thing to Wlad's hook trajectory. If you look CLOSELY at that first .gif you can see how the right side of Eddie's head is not in range of Wlad's left hook. It does not connect.
Why does his head turn at the moment of impact? If you look and look and look you'll see what you want to see mate. Im sure if it didnt land Chambers would not have gone down like that.
Actually, if you do as I asked you'd see that Eddie starts to turn his head to the left a bit before Wlad's glove gets close. His head snaps back because his OWN glove (his left one) hits him in the face as a result of Wlad hitting his left glove. It's a richochet effect of sorts. That punch comes nowhere near Eddie's right temple. If you go to the 4:24 mark, you can see that Eddie's right temple is many inches away from the course that Wlad's left hook traveled.
You are way off man. Look at the second replay and you can clearly see that punch did not hit his right glove. It hit the right side of his head around the temple area. I don't see how you could have missed that. I think this is an attempt to make points but at the same time you are making your self look stupid.
Pay attention man, I said it hit the inside of Chambers LEFT glove...and it did.
So if Wlad's punch didn't land then WHY did Chambers go down???????????
Asked and answered. I am not a mind reader. I'm simply bringing to light the sequence in which the punch did not land; nothing more.
You are pointing to the same far away angle that caused suspicion in the 1st place....
The close up slow motion view where the shot clearly lands at 4:32 is good enough for me.
Too difficult to put all of the frames together, eh? Is it really that difficult? Hopefully, we'll get an overhead angle of the punch which should definitively corroborate what I am saying. But, believe what you want. I know for a fact that the punch did not land. I am not blind, stubborn, or a Wlad hater. All I did was take the time to really analyze it and I'm just reporting my findings.
the replay that starts at 4:15 clearly shows his left land on Chambers temple, Ehambers head jerk violently to the side and go lights out.
You're an idiot, stop waisting space with retarded threads like this.
Actually, it CLEARLY does not show it landing on his temple. Try analyzing it as I mentioned before remarking. I watched it MANY times to be sure of what I was seeing before I even thought of making this thread. This isn't some knee-jerk response.
So you're implying that Chambers took a dive??
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
That''s not what I said at all. I said that the punch did not land. I am not implying in any way shape or form that Eddie took a dive because it is impossible for me to know. But, as I already said, I believe 100% that that punch did not land anywhere but Eddie's left glove. Point blank. But, the richochet effect could've very well hurt Eddie I suppose. Eddie already had one busted glove in that fight from Wlad's power so it is not out of the question that the force from Wlad's glove landing on Eddie's glove which richocheted into Eddie's face could've hurt him.
Looking at the youtube video I understand what the OP is talking about. It "looks" as if the punch missed. So we're faced with one of two possibilities -- either the fight was fixed and Chambers took a dive with seconds left in the fight or the punch landed and the video didn't show it well because of its angle/resolution.
Clearly Chambers was KTFO. This video should be a lesson for those who judge earlier fighters solely on the available film.
Other video should be readily available...but where is it? Where is the overhead shot of the punch? That's what I wanna see.
Everyone on this thread disagrees with you which demonstrates in quite a clear and concise manner that you are in fact a moron.
I am not here to please anyone. I just thought it was interesting that the punch didn't land anywhere but Eddie's left glove so I thought I'd report it. You don't have to agree with my stance on this, I really don't care. What I am doing is journalistic integrity of sorts. Unless a different camera angle comes out that definitively shows it hits Eddie's face/head, I will forever believe that the punch did not land.
