Fights That Ruined Both Guys

Almost 12 years ago, Brewster vs Liahovich aired on Showtime. Boy, what an unexpected surprise. The logical train of thought was that Brewster would continue to tear through his opponents. And that my friend, was totally off. Enter Liahovich: unheralded, untested, veteran trainer, and without a marquee fight. Liahovich started throwing these sneaky left hooks to the body that hurt just watching. Brewster keep trying to knock Sergei's head (those hurt as well). The commentators, fans, and cornermen were so in awe of the brutal back and forth for 12 rounds that we all missed 2 things: 1) The damage to Brewster's right eye. 2) The damage to Sergei's brain. Brewster fought only 1 more time I believe vs Wlad. IMO, best 12 round heavyweight fight of the past decade. YouTube it and see a rarity in what became an instant classic.
