Just watched this fight. Mikey is good and smart but honestly I don't think he ever hurt Broner.
Fortunately Broner fights like a fool. He doesn't mix up his punches enough and as usual doesn't let his hands go.
Broner should have been far too strong for him. However since Adrien likes to fight like a pretty boy for most of the fight he just gives away needless rounds.
AB descended like a muthaf*cka :lol1:....he started off as Floyd...then he was Roy...now he's Zab....f*ck around and become Emanuel Augustus before he reitres...smh
Any gifs of Mikey's excellent and dominant performance?
He had so many great moments in that fight, I'm surprised the gifs of his work aren't coming out yet.
I know 1hourRun always puts out good stuff. Like my sig for instance. AB is a damn fool
Fo realz bro! were da gifs at? hehehe - I made one or two I don't want to have all the fun.

There is a post fight video of Edward Garcia AKA Mikey's dad and trainer of Fernando Vargas. He said he told his son Robert Garcia in Spanish in the later rounds "Don't rattle him! (meaning Mikey). He's got it under control! He doesn't need a knock out!"
Spanish speaker here. I heard what Robert was telling Mikey.
He was telling him: "Don't gift him rounds. Keep youself busy. Throw two, three punches. Eventually, throw some hard punches too".
That's what he told him after many rounds, particularly in the last six. They knew they were up in the scorecards and there was no way Broner was getting KOed because the mofo has a great chin. They just needed to win rounds.
Same that happened in the Maidana fight, but even more visible in the last round of the fight against Porter.
He fights scared, plays it safe. Then goes all in in the last round.
When will he ever learn? I gave him three rounds, maybe even four being generous. Most of them at the end when he actually tried to land and control the fight, instead of moving with a high guard and saying no everytime he was hit.

... yes... Mikey was so dominant during 2/3 of the fight, that he didn't need to take unnecessary risks and possibly get countered (like Porter was, for instance)...
Ok let's get real
Personally I think if Broner would of opened like he did towards the end
I honestly think Garcia would of ko'd him without doubt
He might of dropped Garcia and even then not to sure but Mikey would of caught him with one of those body shots and that stupid **** Again Broke would of crumbled
Just an ignorant person and someone try telling me otherwise after that interview

Looked like Mikey was getting a little bit tired at the end but good fight. I'd like to see Mikey stay at 140 permanently, convert all that fat into muscle and build the body right, 147 is pushing it. Broner didn't have anything on his punches, I think he came in way too light.
Garcia should not go to 147. He never had Broner truly hurt hitting him with everything, I think he's a little too small for that weight class.
He is a very good boxer amd just should stick to 135. I too think Crawford is big trouble for him.
Broner, for all his shortcomings, is a very tough dude and after taking free shots from maidana, porter and garcia is nearly impossible to knock out.
Garcia doesnt have the intense pressure style which broner cant cope with and landed good single shots, whose impact were lessened, because broner fought a very defensive fight for the first 8 rounds. So Garcia not being able to hurt Broner is not a testament for him not being able to hang with the other welterweights. Porter didnt hurt Broner either.
While i can see Garcia having trouble with welterweights who can impose their size like Spence or Porter, I can still see him doing well against other guys who try to keep it on the outside and prefer to box instead of brawl.
Nevertheless, Garcia would still give his opponents unnecessary advantages if he goes to welterweight. I would much more prefer for him, that he stays at 135 or 140.
