Would had beaten any other WW besides maybe Thurman IMO. And it was WELL documented that Kell was doing good with his weight for the fight. If that can't be a great win over a prime opponent, almost nothing is.
Whatever version of brook it was, he fought a sh*t fight tactically. He repeatedly fell in and then stood there letting spence hit him with hard body shots. He didn't effectively work or tie up on the inside.
Yeah, Kell didn't look much different than in years past. His stamina was shot by round 8 but I think that had a lot more to do with Spence's body work than anything else
honestly that brook was greatly diminished.
he didn't have the energy level he normally did. that fight against GGG ended his career at WW.
Diminished from what version, the version knocking out cans or the Porter version because he was better than the Porter version, the difference was Spence and his power shots that thud every blow, Spence is one of those punchers that hits really hard consistently all night, when they fight the elite they break them down and that's what Spence did, off course Kells energy level will die in the ass, look at the pace and look at the body shots and grinding beat down that was happening, add a broken face and it is what it is give Spence the credit for winning and Brook the reality he was beat by a better fighter on the night.
I was on the fence with this and really like both fighters and have no favor for either, this forum is a disgrace the way everything is so negative towards every guy that wins big.
More than half the idiots posting in here know nothing about boxing Ive never seen so much BS in all my life, I know most are very young, but come on grow a brain and learn the sport.
Not so sure Kell would be better at 154. I mean yeah he'd be stronger, but so would his competition. And they would have the blueprint on beating him for sure. May just be better to never go above 160 even during time off and just stay at 147 until he retires.
Brook and everybody around him assured everybody that the weight was not an issue. The game plan they had for Spence ironically worked on him from the other side.
As he fought he looked good and had success, he got broken down once the fight was not going his way. Some people act here like Spence's punches had to do nothing with him quitting. It had everything to do with it
i dont want to take any credit away from spence cause he did a great job and deserves the plaudits, but brook did lack some of the sharpness and snap in his punches. looked slower at welter than he did at middle lol.
That's because he fought a faster fighter. GGG is slow, though he is sharp. Kell's speed was troubling until GGG started to control him on the ropes. Doesn't matter how fast you are if there is no where to go.

That's true dedication, we have our disagreements but you're a true fan and student of the game :usa2:
Ahh, thank you, but it's not that commendable bro lol. I just finally finished classes and I don't like to talk about fighters without giving them their just do..

You might be under that impression because Spence is a lot quicker than Golovkin
lmao the same guys who lambasted PAC for facing guys coming off loses are now praising Spence for beating a good fighter who was pummelled in his last fight against the strongest middleweight on the planet, you can't make this shyt up.
You don't have to make it up, just log in to NSB and read the same guys calling Kell Brook a **** bum 9 months ago when he fought a certain other guy call him a prime beast after their new love beats him Saturday night. It's pure comedy
Kell looked about as good as he can look at WW. I think he needs to move up though the weight cuts do not help and i believe he would be a better fighter at 154 or maybe even 160 over time. He honestly looked better to me vs GGG he looked fresher and more healthy. Not discrediting spence though he beat a prime version of brook.
Brook looked awesome for as long as he lasted doing well.
Spence had subtle movements and sneaked in enough body shots I felt early that it eventually wore Brook down. If it wasn't for the early investment I think Brook might of still had enough late game to pull it out.
You must not watch many Kell Brook fights. I've watched his last 15 (that I could find) over the last 5 days. He's never been a stamina freak. Especially with that concerted body effort from Spence. He was always going to fold.

Exactly!!!
Kell Brook doesnt like extreme pressure and he just happened to fight 2 of the best pressure fighters in the sport in Spence and GGG, to be honest hes been matched up badly.
He could have had easier fights against Khan, Garcia, Diego Chavez, Berto etc or even Thurman and probably remained undefeated.
Hes been matched extremely tough in his last 2 fights and the results are a reflection of that.
It's all about this, nothing to do with Kell being out of his prime.

you can't honestly believe that. You really think Brook was in the most ideal situation coming from that Golovkin fight? Coming off a beating and surgery is now being prime? I guess Kell is headed towards ultra prime now. The fight showed Brook was mentally affected. It was a good win, but be realistic.
Brook just took the beating of his career vs GGG and got permanently damaged, had to move down 2 weightclasses and went back to fight a dangerous young guy and it showed.
Which other fighter is able to move up 2 weightclasses move back down and still be an elite fighter? Nobody.
exactly that , brooks known to party and blow up in weight for 10 years , carson jones give him life and death down the final rounds many moons ago, and senchenko rocked him badly .... spence is levels above and the body work early was barely mentioned on the british tv , but i agree this was as good as ive seen brook look , but spence is just better !
