Looks like HBO will hit it's stride as usual in the fall/winter. You have Klitschko/Fury, Matthysse/Postal, Crawford returning all in October. And of course Cotto/Canelo in November and Tim Bradley vs probably Sadim Ali.
Some of these are actually decent fights: Frampton/Martinez; Santa Cruz/Mares; Jack/Groves and Bundrage/Charlo. Klitschko/Fury and Crawford vs the-stiff-of-the-month are both mismatches and Bradley/Ali is a snoozer. PBC is not offering any barburners, but, with the exception of Cotto/Alvarez, they are on the same level in terms of quality as HBO.
Quigg is fighting Martinez, while Frampton is fighting Alejandro Gonzalez (never heard of him). It's essentially a showcase fight to introduce him to the U.S. fans.
Arreola VS my burger king manager should be a good scrap. He's a tough cookie, ive seen him handle rush hour in the drive thru on his own. he can handle adversity.
looking forward to seeing frampton fight my local taco truck guy this weekend. love seeing that guy serving tacos to his fans every sunday during the flea market
Exactly!! Lol bunch of free bullsh1t and people want us to be jumping for joy. F*ck outta here!! Only care for Mares-Santa Cruz and Chaves-Alexander.
When you got people here saying 2 senior citizens like Tarver vs Cunningham is a good fight... that's when you know sh*t is looking bad and people are desperate.
All those dates yet only 1 or 2 competitive match ups. =/
Lol

Not sure how I feel. Not the most compelling matchups. Should we just be grateful we have fights? Or would you rather larger gaps with greater quality matchups?
hmmm. Still probably too soon to judge the landscape that Haymon is creating within boxing. There will be a huge fallout eventually, either upside or downside. Obviously we hope for the upside, but I think it's too soon to really see where it's going to go.
Worse comes to worse, I hope HBO and Showtime can go back to doing what they do best and getting great matchups by working with the right promoters.

If you guys are so hard up for free fights you can stream some pretty good ones online
You don't have to suffer through PBC cards just to get some boxing in your life
option 3 get a job
Didn't I just say that people are complaining saying that there are no competitive fights on the list? Which isn't true at all. Man you're dense as f*ck.
Yeah my brand is PBC you caught me... Everything is as simplistic as your mind makes it out to be.
People can say what they want about these cards.
It must be, or why else be so defensive?
Jack v Groves and Chaves v Alexander maybe to look forward. All the major players have TBAs lol
I understand Americans, who find it hard to get regular access to boxing, must like this and I'm happy for you. But in Europe, in particular the UK where we have dedicated channels and a big boxing run on Sky (somewhat costly but it comes in a package with multiple channels), we have access to not only boxing but better and more competitive match ups.
Haymon got all that money and this is what he decided to do with it.
Anyone want to agree with me About when I said his main goal is to get his 15% fighter fees?
These fights aren't going to build boxing, PBC, or any new stars, this is garbage.
Haymon trying to build superstars, so boxing can have a future without floyd and manny. Feed them young bucks some cans to build htheir name up. Yall, also foret that we actualy have top fighter fighting in regular tv. We not getting washe d up fighters and journeymen anymore.
Out of all those cards, I will be able to watch 6 of them as the rest of the channels are not available in Canada. And out of those, three of them will be featuring TBA. I hope he has improved his game because it will be really boring watching TBA getting his clock cleaned over and over again.
Yeah I'm really hoping TSN picks up the ESPN cards, the Showtime cards (previously on Super Channel), and maybe even the NBCSN cards since they don't have much NHL any more.
They had the Thurman-Collazo card scheduled, but showed FIFA Beach Soccer (wtf?) instead. And they did show the Showtime broadcast of the Stiverne-Wilder fight earlier in January, but likely only because of Stiverne's Canadian connection.
Also, the Fight Network was showing the FSN1 cards when they were run by Golden Boy, so maybe they'll continue to show the PBC versions.
Wasn't that 2012 team like the worst in US history?
Spence may turn out to be something, but like you, I'm not sold on the hype surrounding him.
Rau'shee Warren making the team every time should tell you how bad the US Olympic teams are.
So, bragging about Haymon having the whole Olympic team is pretty sad. Cause none of those guys are going anywhere. Lol
