He has absolutely no chance tonight, he's fighting a guy who like Danny Garcia can take a punch, and can punch back. We still don't know how well either guy will take the other's power, especially how well Ruslan will stand Matthysse's best shots. Provodnikov's high profile fights have been against guys like Herrera, Bradley, and Algieri, guys who can't punch. Alvarado is a decent puncher but nothing more. Similarly, who knows if Matthysse can survive the meat-grinder Ruslan will turn the fight into for 5/6 rounds. Lucas is better on the outside and from mid-range, but Provodnikov might have the edge up close where the fight will probably be fought. I think Matthysse is the better conditioned of the two, and if he can weather the storm distance will start to develop between the two. From there Matthysse would win as he's the cleaner puncher and has better timing. But it all depends on how well each can soak up the other's shots. If it all depends on that, then surely you should be leaning towards Ruslan. We already know that Matthysse doesn't have much of a chin, Ruslan walks through bombs.

I'm leaning toward Ruslan as I tend to think that the ability to take a punch is hereditary and we all know what happened to Walter when he faced legit punchers...also some people are understating Alvardos power.
