To me it's clearly Kovalev. HE doesn't even look like he puts his body into his punches. Some are just arm punches and he's still hurting people.
Stevenson is the more accurate puncher.
RIP Simakov.
Don George who fought Adonis and sparred Kovalev said Adonis is the bigger puncher, but Kovalev has a lot of skills also.
Haha. I bet Kovalev wouldn't let Don George last for 11 and a half rounds.
One punch? Maybe Stevenson...but he has to find that straight left, even his R.Hook, although dangerous isn't a particular killer punch.
Difference with Kovalev is that he throws a lot of hard punches in combination, and any one of them can leave a guy dazed for just long enough for Kovalev to find the opening he needs...
Both guys get the KO, but IMO Kovalev has more routes to it.
Yep and Kovalev is a far better finisher once he hurts his opponent, it's game over. Stevenson stands back and lets fighters off the hook once he hurts them.

If we're talking about One punch KO power then I'd say Stevenson.
I'm inclined to agree with this. But if you're talking 'array of punches that can KO a credible opponent' then I say Kovalev.
I increasingly think that if they fight in the next year Adonis would win based on his boxing and couterpunching. Though it could be a very short fight that could go either way.
Stevenson's are probably the more eye catching...his main power shot is thrown from a further distance, so it looks good while it travels...he lands on the end of it and they look powerful obviously. Bellews head almost flew off
Kovalev IMO throws some of, if not the, shortest power shots in boxing. It appears that he has power in both hands as well. His feet and hands are working in conjunction so he can throw those short shots from angles. It might be harder for opponents to see all of his punches and therefore the effect could be more detrimental. I think that is one of the Kovalev's best attributes. I'm just not sure how long that power will last into the fight. will he lose some if pushed back, or when he tired, for example.
Who throws harder off the backfoot? I'd say stevenson
I have not gone through Kovalev's entire career. I've mostly seen his recent stuff. Which are his most brutal knockouts?
Anything comparable to Stevenson's Gonzales KO?
EDIT: Just went through Kovalev highlights video. He seems to break down his opponents with multiple punches. It's rarely a single eye catching punch. I think Stevenson has better one punch KO power.
