Why Marquez is so overrated...?

Diaz is nobody... who did Diaz beat anyway? Frietas? Limited Katsidis?... who else... I am not taking anything away from Marquez... he did great tonight but against who?... Diaz is a B fighter and anyone who has fight plan and experience would knock him down... and Marquez has it... That's why Diaz was underdog...and beating an underdog is just a good achievement... not great... I like Marquez but his fans are just too delusional.. the guy was the best Lightweight in the division.

i dont want to spoil the fun, but some posters might not get it. the posters who keep shoutin' overrated is playin' with ya'll ! ! ! ! ! very obvious with the one liners and statements without proper explanations.. They should be saying look at how good Pac is, he went 24 rounds and dropped Marquez while Marquez lit up 2 of the best lightweights ever so thus Pac is a helluva fighter who won against one the best, JMM But they don't. Well JMM went tooth and nail with him twice, actually thought he won and his record on the whole is stellar, he also ha everything u want in a fighter, smooth skills, sharp punches, ulity combos, good movement, a huge heart and mental toghness. Don't believe the hype that HBO commentators put on John who barely escaped Juarez who JMM dominated. Especially Kellerman who said after the Pac-JMM fight that JMM was robbed in the John fight then in last night's telecast says John had the best case for beating JMM. I saw the fight and couldn't even give John a round, he was outclassed! I guess now that John is affiliated with GBP it's HBO's duty to try and hype him.

welterweight has much more comp. Mayweather Mosley cotto hatton pac judah williams clottey berto collazo cintron dlh plus, the past 3 #1 ranked p4p fighters have been in the ww dividion ( mosley, mayweather, pacquiao) lightweight is not the best division in boxing hatton, pac, and de la hoya dont belong on that list...even williams because i guarantee you he will never again have a big fight at that weight class, there for, he wont go back.

did marquez even land that last uppercut? there was no angle to show it well. i didnt like those knockdowns. something aboiut them seemed off. looked diaz just fell after being hit a bit earlier. weird. i cant stand jmm. just dont like him. jmm said pacquiao doesnt want to fight him??? jeez, pac already beat him - although listed as a draw. we know pac won that. i dont think pbf would come out of retirement to fight jmm. then again, floyd almost always takes safe fights, and i think jmm is a safe fight for him. but, i dont think i see it happening. Yea Marquez landed some tremendous punches. I recommend you catch other angle replays of the knock out punches off the internet, they were awesome.

JMM fought a great fight. Diaz is a good fighter, but not a great fighter. He lacks power and doesn't time his punches well. He just goes in and waste to much punches.

since when is lightweight the deepest division in boxing? Since it has had, just in the last couple of years: Juan Diaz, Joel Casamayor, Juan Manuel Marquez, Edwin Valero, Julio Diaz, Nate Campbell (now up to 140 I think), Ali Funeka, Amir Khan, Antonio DeMarco, Michael Katsidis, David Diaz, Breidis Prescott, Yuri Romanov among many others. Don't forget Manny's brief stint in there as well. Number one and two P4P in the same division. Find another divisions in boxing with that talent.
