I always thought why don't these hyped prospects tryout for the contender? For example imagine if say an unbeaten Edison Miranda had joined the first season of the Contender with the middleweights. He would have most certainly walked through all those guys. He would have been a huge star known to millions more than he is now! Probably on a popularity status that only elite boxers enjoy. This week I was thinking coming into todays fight with Lee and Vera, what if Lee , fighting a contender alum in Vera, had joined this previous season? He would be on everyone's radar if he cleaned house on this past season. Today I think I got my answer! The contender for what it is, is not short of guys who have hunger and heart, a dangerous combination on any given night!
