JMM personally to me, is the best fighter on the planet and p4p number 1

You know with Campbell he dissapointed me so much with those losses to peden, but you know what, after i saw him against Kid Diamond, a win most people forgot about because it took place during tarver/jones III, a fight most people never want to see again anyway, if you remember, kid diamond was a star on the rise and Nate beat his monkey ass. I think his win against Diaz was outstanding and taking on Guzman, something nobody else seemingly wanted to do is very admirable, if he fights JMM and beats him, you have to put this guy on the p4p list and break him in because personally hes knocking on the door. Where do you have Campbell ranked in all this, and how do you think he compares to JMM and Pac? His win over Jaun Diaz was impressive, as is his willingness to take on the best. I read at another site earlier today that he now wants Marquez. I respect your opinion and think JMM's win last weekend makes him the top lightweight in the world. But p4p Pac is still number one in my opinion based on his head to head record against Marquez. Casamoyer was a better win than Diaz, but we just can't throw out their the fact that Manny does have a win over JMM (no matter how close any of us thought it was, or who won) in the record books. If anything, I think it reinforces why Pac is #1. I respectfully disagree with the premise of this thread, and I disagree with the statement that a win over Casa is greater than a win over Diaz. I think DDD has been completely overlooked by the majority and is very underrated. While certainly Pac could have faced Campbell or Casa...you must also keep in mind Diaz's only loss was at 140 and he KOd santa cruz who clearly beat casa. Im aware that is a triangle theory but also take into account that for such a supposedly weak beltholder none of the other existing lightweight champs wanted anything to do with him. With juan and julio unfying with each other then juan opting 4 journeyman nate campbell while casa opting 4 up and comer katsidis. Im sure if he was such a weak titlist juan, joel and julio would have been more than happy to relieve david of his hardware long ago but they all left him be. And it wasnt until 3 titles were unified and Juan upset by Campbell that these DDD is the weak link theories started appearing

in my opinion i dont really care what difficulties pac faces moving up against de la hoya because hes choosing this, when is the last time you saw a p4p 1 get laid on his ass and keep the title? nothing against pac at all, but come on, if pac loses, JMM SHOULD BE number 1, especially if Jones Jr does the impossible. As much as i like pacman, JMM moved up and fought a superior fighter, you can say casamayor is old, however he was undisputed coming off of a huge fight he was supposed to lose, JMM is no spring chicken either. Pac moved up and fought the softest beltholder there was, and dont tell me he couldnt have fought casamayor, guzman or any of the others after he fought marquez, he could have taken those guys on if he wanted to, but he didint. I think David Diaz getting KOd by pac is a great accomplishment, but JMM moved up and took a real fight against a legit champ at that weight who has never been stopped. Even if DLH destroys Pacquiao, Pac will still hold the number 1 spot. JMM is in the list because of Pac. And Pac is on the list because of Barrera. And im not too sure but i think i recall Marquez in the p4p list before the Pacquiao fight.

i think you have to look at the fact that pac used to be a flyweight have gone up as far as middleweight... with that in consideration, i think pac should still be #1 even if he loses... its an exhibition match and those have absolutely no bearing on any rankings man, im one of the few who puts little stock into that argument, because if guys like mayweather and others could have turned pro in their smaller bodies at 15/16/17 they would have, and would have started at similarly smaller weights if they could. i just like i dont put much stock into pacs losses at those smaller weights neither, he was just a kid.

Please if you thought that jmm vs cassa was boring you aint a boxing fan.You are just a manny fan .Pac moved up to challange a bigger champ WTF please cassa is way more dangerous than Diaz. been a boxing fan since srl and tyson's era. caught ali's last fights. the whole jmm-casa was not boring, i exaggerated, but there's a lot of pauses where each fighter was just waiting for something to happen. bigger is when i compared diaz's size to pac. yeah casa may be more dangerous, but one sees prime diaz as a patsy, only because the way pac manhandled him. jmm-oldcasa was even till the KO.

I feel Pac is rightfully #1 as of now. But let's say, Pac loses horribly to DLH and Marquez wins at least slightly impressively to Juan Diaz, there should be no reason why he wouldnt be #1. He moved up, fought a very game and crafty veteran who happened to be THE champ of the division, then moves and defeats one of the younger more capable and highly regarded players in the division. Thats worldclass right there. But as of now, 1. Pac 2. JMM 3. Joe Cal

I disagree, Pacquiao is the best fighter in the world. I believe he'd beat Marquez if they fought again as well. I actually had him beating Marquez the two times they fought by the slimmest of margins (1 point in each I think). Future fights would go the same way. Marquez would largely outbox Pacquiao but Manny would hurt and/or drop Marquez periodically, giving him the advantage in the fight and in the scoring. Just one of those situations where if they fought 1 million times it'd be the same outcome nearly every time. At least that's how I feel.

JMM to me, Is the best fighter in the world. casamayor isn't so legit considering cruz should've gotten the decision over him. koing casamayor is a huge accomplishment, but lets put it into perspective. on a whole jmm's win over casamayor isn't a whole lot better than pac's win over diaz. if jmm fought campbell and took all his belts... then imho i would put him over pac cause jmm would be lineal and undisputed at 135 since pac is messing around at 147.

Disputed or not, Pacquiao beat JMM so I rank Pacquiao in front. I completely agree. Yes the fights were close, but He did come out the victor in the last one, and he's knocked JMM down 4 times now. I'd love to see a third fight, but as of right now, you have to put Pacman over JMM.
