Why isn't Juan Diaz top 10 p4p?

As far as the topic goes, Diaz isnt top 10 yet, but I fully expect him to be in a year or two. The kid is all action and no fear.

Juan Diaz beat Acelino Freitas and Julio Diaz this year to add the WBO and IBF to his WBA Lightweight belt. He's 33-0 (17) and only one of his 16 decision wins was not a UD, with the vast majority of them being by wide margins. Juan is second only to Floyd Mayweather in Offense/Defence differential and yet still, he doesn't get any respect. What does he have to do? He needs pop in his punch, no power = sucks

What has Paul Malignaggi done to be top 10 p4p? He has amazing skills, but hes not there yet. He only beat Lovemore N'Dou Paulie Malignaggi (just won his first title 6 months ago, against a 35 year old N'Dou with 8 losses, for a belt Hatton threw away, and hasn't defended it yet) waaaay more accomplished and better :pat: (since he doesn't even have Juan in his top 15) than a guy who beat 3 current world champs, has unified the Lightweight division, beaten previously unbeaten prospects like Jose Cotto (who was 27-0). Okay, suuuuuuuuuuure......

Because the fighter he beat weren't ranked high on anyones pound 4 pound list. If we see him beat someone like Pacquiao or continue his reign with solid defences against good opposition, he will soon be seen on the p4p lists. But not yet.

I guess it just goes to show how many talented boxers we have out there. At least he's 24, has pretty good defence (doesn't eat a ton of punches,) he still has plenty of time. I'd like to see him fight Casamayor to get he ring belt. Kinda pissed off that the Katsidis bout fell through, but that wouldn't have moved him up much, if at all, it just would have been fun to watch.
