KO Artist does not mean hardest puncher. It's the guy with the most beautifull timing combinations, it's the accuracy that comes WITH the power that puts the opponent out. That's Tyson for ya on that list. Joe Louis was best KO artist ever.
Umm...........Haha yeah. I don't think this really has to be asked.

Just Math.. You can NEVER argue with math..
KO%
Klitschko-89.7%
Foreman-89.4%
Tyson-88%
Tua-85.7%
and for the guy who said Lewis?? 78%
It's as much about WHO they KO, forget statistics.
Look the punch doesn't even look hard but it's short and on target.
Dude Julian Jackson was deadly, one wrong move and he could seperate your brain from its stem and in a instant you were dead or permanently damaged.
IMO he and Gerald Mcclellan are tied for the title of Hardest hitter in Middleweight history. Both of whom hit harder than MOST of Ring Magazines top 100 hardest hitting heavy-fucking-weights from the training videos I have seen...Their rediculous.
I beleive that Julian Jackson's punchers are the reason that Gerald Mcclellan is in the condition he is in today, in fact we all know that is why because Mcclellan complained about dizzyness and migranes months or more after the fight, this was a blood clot in his brain, he neglected it and in the Benn fight God let it fly.
Tyson was a AWESOME Ko artist, and I am a major Tyson critic as I am of any boxer to eliminate biased oppinions. But when I think Foreman I always thought of the word "Puncher", and "Apeshit".
Herbie Hide lmfao 40 wins 39 KO's but he lost 4 times because he has a glass chin.
Herbie Hide is the definition of KO artist, lol, that guy knew he had to guy out of there before he got KTFO himself. He is still of my favourite fighters. I'm sad he left the heavies, I'd like him to get involved in the uk domestic merry go around. He would destroy Harrison!
On thread I pick George you have to. He knocked people out with punches that they fucking saw coming! amazing!
David Tua deserves an honorable mention, 16 1st round KOs, including Ruiz and Moorer in a combined 40 seconds.
Aaron Pryor had some pretty good pop, 35 KOs in 40 fights, KOing Arguelo twice, Cervantes, several undefeated prospects.
John Mugabi was a KO artist, all his wins by KO (38) until he was 36.
http://www.doghouseboxing.com/Media/PaulieMalignaggi_Big.jpg This dude. HANDS DOWN.
I'm pretty sure this is a joke but if it isn't, 24 fights 5 ko's<--- I don't think so.
Unfortunately.. I am from the school of thought.. That people before the year 2000.. were NOT made of IRON.. They were infact.. made of Flesh and Bone... They Could not hit any harder nor take a hit any better than anyone else...
This bullshit about the past being so awesome is tiring.. especially when I am being told it by people who werent even alive.. or still playing with their GI Joes..
im fast coming to the conclusion that your a fucking idiot. nobody is saying that people before 2000 were made of iron, i do not understand your point??? your theory about math and stats is flawed in as much as you could take a heavyweight, pit him against featherweights his entire career and he'd have a 100% knockout ratio, thus making him the best knockout artist based on your theory. what im saying is that your competition is relevant, because if your knocking out high class guys then that makes you a better exponent of the knockout shot than somebody beating up on bums
Well, I'll tell you guys this...
I won't take sides.. but you're both right in a way..
Math is math and facts are facts...
So here are the facts now.
Fighters that only "HE" was able to Knock Out!
Tyson: Holmes and Spinks
Foreman: Frazier and I think we can throw Chuvalo into this, who was only KOed by Foreman and Frazier
Wlad Klitschko: Brock, Brewster, I think we can also throw in McCline, who broke his foot against Valuev and couldn't get up and was only kayoed in his second pro fights.
So the level of KOed opposition does play a role
But here is something that will contradict that very same logic:
It took the balloon-middleweight Toney only 9 rounds to do what the biggest hitters Foreman, Lewis, Tyson, and Holmes could not do in 63 rounds and that it to KO Holyfield.
So you can't go by names and resumes...
and the only thing we can do is do the math like Welter did in the first place... and if so.. Vitali's is the greatest KO artist in the history of HW Champions :D
Herbie Hide lmfao 40 wins 39 KO's but he lost 4 times because he has a glass chin.
do you remember wen he got stopped by vitali? my god i was worried for the poor little fella.
