Bob Ajisafe (16-2, 7 KOs) has told Boxing Scene he may vacate his British light heavyweight title.

After hours upon hours of deliberation, fall-outs and too much alcohol (you should’ve been there, honestly) the Boxing Scene UK team has had their heads banged together to give you, our reader(s), the results from the 2015 Boxing Scene UK awards.

Lewis Taylor (18-1-1, 3 KOs) has been told he will fight Tommy Langford (15-0, 5 KOs) on February 13 at Liverpool’s Echo Arena for the vacant Commonwealth middleweight title and Langford’s WBO Inter-Continental strap.

Boxing Scene understands that Matthew Macklin could fight Brian Rose on April 9 in London. The Matchroom promotion, set to be headlined by rising heavyweight star Anthony Joshua in his sixteenth pro start, will be staged at London’s O2 Arena - the scene of Joshua's biggest win to date when the 2012 Olympic Gold medallist stopped bitter rival Dillian Whyte in seven rounds just over two weeks ago on Sky Box Office.

David Haye has told Boxing Scene that an upcoming documentary will show why he has only been able to fight five times in the last six years. The former cruiserweight champion became WBA World heavyweight champion when he defeated the seven-foot, 316 lb Nikolay Valuev in 2009 to become the first Briton to hold a world heavyweight title since Lennox Lewis in 2003.

There appears to be differing reasons as to why Ryan Doyle (11-1-1, 6 KOs) has had to withdraw from his British featherweight title challenge against champion Ryan Walsh on January 22. Walsh (19-1-1, 8 KOs) will now face Scotland’s Darren Traynor (11-0, 5 KOs) – as announced today via a Frank Warren and Queensbury Promotions press release - in the first defence of his title on the same date next month at London’s York Hall live on Boxnation. Boxing Scene reached out to Queensbury’s matchmaker Jason McClory to find out why Doyle had pulled out of the contest. “I was told he [Doyle] doesn’t have enough time to train and can’t get the time off work. So effectively they pulled out of the fight.â€

Willie Limond (38-4, 10 KOs) will return to action on January 30 in Glasgow. The 36-year-old former British and Commonwealth light welterweight champion has been out of action since winning the titles against Curtis Woodhouse in June of last year.

A deal could be reached this week for Kell Brook's next world title defence. The 35-fight unbeaten IBF World welterweight champion will face his mandatory challenger, Canada's Kevin Bizier (25-2, 17 KOs), early next year. A win for Brook could lead to a summer super-fight against fellow Brit and long time rival Amir Khan.

Ricky Burns (39-5-1, 13 KOs) could fight in a WBO World title final eliminator on April 9 in London. The Matchroom lightweight who had been linked to a European lightweight title fight against Edis Tatli could well face Jose Zepeda or Petr Petrov in April. "We're not taking that [Tatli] fight," Burns' promoter Eddie Hearn told BoxingScene.com on Monday. 'Scene contacted the Matchroom boss after the EBU (European Boxing Union) had set a deadline of today 12pm (Rome time) for purse offers for Burns and Tatli to contest the European belt sometime next year. "Ricky's now moved up high in the WBO (now ranked 3 with the WBO). So we'll be looking for a final eliminator on April 9. It's Petrov (ranked 2 with the WBO ) or Zepeda (ranked 1 with the WBO). I don't know what they're going to do at the moment so they're just working it all out and chatting internally."

Gavin McDonnell (14-0-2, 4 KOs) has vacated his European super bantamweight tite. The EBU (European Boxing Union) had called for purse bids, due for today (12pm Rome time) for McDonnell to defend his belt against British champion Jazza Dickens (21-1, 6 KOs). McDonnell vacated his crown last week and is scheduled to return in February or March in a bigger fight on the world scene. "If [Kell] Brook fights on February 20 it's going to be then in Sheffield if not it'll be early March," his promoter Eddie Hearn told BoxingScene.com today.
