Willie Limond (38-4, 10 KOs) will return to action on January 30 in Glasgow.

The 36-year-old former British and Commonwealth light welterweight champion has been out of action since winning the titles against Curtis Woodhouse in June of last year.

Limond and respected British trainer Billy Nelson now have their own promotional outfit which launched in October. And the January 30 date will be Lock Stock Promotions second show for the Scottish outfit.

“I will be returning to the ring to shake off the rust before my title fight in February/March,” said Limond.

Last month Limond said he was two fights away from a WBC World Interim title shot at 140lbs thanks to his friend and former opponent Erik Morales.

The January 30 show at the Marriott Hotel, Glasgow will also feature Kieran Smith, Steph ‘Boom Boom’ McAslan, Jason Easton and Stefan Sanderson.
