and amazingly he didn't for a long time. I think at one point he was 125-1 (going off the dome so don't kill me if I'm off). Most of those losses where after a career changing plane crash. Most thought (including his own doctor) that he would never box again....yet pep still won titles after that (even though everyone acknowledges he wasn't the same fighter after that plane crash).

And, if it was even possible that they fought just like Hopkins did you would look like an idiot.

The greatest whiter fighter in ATG's>The greatst Latino fighter in ATG's.

The only Latino fighter that come close to top 10 status is Roberto Duran that is it. While there are AT LEAST 3 white fighters in Greb, Pep, and Leonard who could hold the claim....

And, before anybody ban me for racism or whatever. I am a Latino but I just am speaking the truth here.
      I thought you were Philipino?

Are you serious? We had discussions on the phone, You were on the call when I spoke Spanish to RobTC when he was saying Pac would beat Ali at a catch-weight of 154 and he would KO SRR

Exactly. On the other hand, in all of Pep's fights he never had to face someone with (for example) Roy Jones speed and athleticism. Imagine if Roy fought then? Thats again why its so hard. Evolution makes it very difficult to assess one's talent across generations IMO.

Another white boxer would be Bob Fitzsimmons who holds a strong argument for #1.

Imo Eder Jofre could be ranked in the top 15 and he is definitly up there top skill wise, will probably get a lot of shtick for saying this but I hold to it that Jofre is the best boxer I've ever seen, even if it is just his wars with Jose Medal and his close losses to Harada after a year or so lay off.
            Something about him.

I've seen Arguello and Monzon in the top 20 as well in some peoples lists. None of them come close to Greb, Pep, Leonard or Fitzsimmons though

I would put Bob Fitzsimmons in the top 16. So yea he has a case for top 10. I might even put Wilde the ATG Fyweight in the top 20.

Jofre the greatest fighter to come out of Brzil, Pretty good, I don't know if I put him in the top 15 but it really is all opinionated though.

I dont c how ppl hav Manny even in the top 10 of GOAT! If u really think about it, he was out boxed by JMM twice and should hav lost that last fight, has yet to fight a person that would giv him trouble all the ppl he has faced in the past years hav been either past there prime or there style is perfect for manny to dominate, Floyd is still #1 in the welterw8 div IMO. His last fight with shane proved that, cause shane was more of a threat to beat floyd then Clottey was to beat Manny. So right now I hav Floyd over Manny in rank, an there not even in my top 10 GOAT. Im not a Floyd stan, but Ive said it b4 Manny cant handle smart counter punchers thats y he was havn trouble with JMM. Floyd would giv Manny alot of trouble IMO! yea manny gonna keep coming but manny gets very frestrated when he keeps gettn popped as he's thrown look at the JMM fight. N dont say he's a different fighter now cause he really isnt, same aggresive style.

honestly he fought Ray Robinson in the amateurs and it was a very close fight from what I heard. I know that was just the amateurs but from what I can gather, Robinson was extremely good before turning pro as well.

Not that it means much, but has has face guys with that type of speed and athleticism even if it wasn't in the pros.

FWIW I personally don't think, from the fight's I seen of Pep, that speed and athleticism would beat him. I think the style that would give him the most issues is a guy who would try to smother him and maul him for 12 rounds, because trying to outbox him would only work against you (unless your a real special fighter). This is just my opinion though.

I'll just say that in my lifetime the best fighters I've seen have been:

                      Ali
                      Leonard
                      Hagler
                      Floyd
                      Roy Jones
                      Duran
                      Sweet Pea
                      Julio Cesar Chavez
                      James Toney
                      Aaron Pryor
                      Salvador Sanchez/Azumah Nelson

No disrespect to Manny Pacquio but its hard for me to put him ahead of the men listed above.
