pacquiao already won that title. He has nothing else to prove at that weight. 147 is where he should fight for the rest of his career and he has to eat like a pig to even fight at that weight.

He won a fight at catchweight.... How in teh hell do you win a title at catchweight??? In a division you have never fought in, while your opponent fights in that division once, and somehow you two guys are in line for a title fight???

he then fights vernon forrest for a vacant belt at 154.

these things happen. best thing to do is not even pay attention to the ABC belts.

because the sanctioning bodies are crooks. they've been doing sleazy **** like this since forever.

you have this weird thing about people weighing less than the limit.

you don't have to weight in at the weight limit. it's a weight LIMIT. you can't go over but you don't have to weight at that weight.

if you want to whine about the catchweights , that's fine. go ahead. i don't care for catchweights either.

but don't cry about people not weighing a certain amount. that's a DISADVANTAGE. you're crying about someone at a disadvantage.

1.) But looking at your Vernon forrest scenario, wasnt vernon forrest a legit 154 pounder?

2.) Didnt they fight without a catchweight?? I dont remember the viper, and tata fighting at a catch weight.

3.) Didnt vernon forrest have more than x1 fight at 154 prior to fighting tata??

4.) How many fights did Margarito fight prior to EMMANUEL (MANNY)???

again Sonosa was a 115 lb fighter who was sanctioned by WBO to move to 122 to fight W Vasquez jr for a vacant title. that is bs. moving up two weight divisions against a guy who had only fought cab drivers. Margarito was a former champ moving back to a weight he had fought at before. Manny was moving up after defending his 147 lb WBO belt.

Cotto got smashed by Pacquiao at welterweight and coming off a loss (and losing 2 of previous 4 fights) went straight to a title shot versus a Rabbi that beat a faded Santos. The Rabbi had not ever defended the title and had one leg most of the fight. If you are going to question Manny's belt then question Cotto's. I guess Dzinzurik is the only real champ at 154 using your criteria. They gave Cotto the easiest fight for a title available at the time.
