We have always been politically divided as a nation. It was Obama's divisiveness along racial and social lines that created a Trump presidency. Half the country was marginalized and villainized by Obama and Clinton, Trump was the backlash of that division. We had a president who referred to half of Americans as "bitter clingers with their guns and religion" and a presidential candidate that referred to half the country as deplorables. Yet they call Trump the divider. He was the answer to their elitist rhetoric that went unchallenged for almost a decade.

it goes way beyond the president. For example, What would AOC be without Pelosi? Why would Bernie make it and then lick Hillary's boot? These are actions that create polarity IMO.

Then we get a single sanctioned media... "the good news" guys which creates the bad news guys....

Ghost this last point... Let me tell you a story to illustrate how far things have gotten: When I was a kid, two things stick out that my parents did in shaping my own perspective... My parents were well educated, progressives who had no party affiliation, to give you an idea.

1) I gave them a gift from school I made as a kid. they got me angry so I ripped it up... "Talk about a lashing!" They were so angry at me!! They drilled it into me that when we create something, it is special and cannot be destroyed. They described things like censorship, and people destroying books....I got the picture!

2) This is more relevant but along the same lines: We went to a yard sale and I picked out an innocent looking comic book. It turned out to be a ****ographic Crumb freak brothers book That night my parents were going out... my gorgeous baby sitter was coming over. My parents were faced with a real dilemna, they did not want to take the book away from me because it would set a precedent that some topics should not be brought to the light, explained, etc... but the book was obviously really graphic!

So they decided to let me have the book with the condition I not show it to my babysitter because it might offend her, they explained why. (of course I showed it to her and she laughed).

My point is that progressives back then, like my parents had principles and understood the issue of information and not just cutting it off, not just destroying it... but explaining it. This meant never cutting a point of view down with anything but an opposing point of view.

What you are is someone who is an example of what this country and world has become... because standards of critical thinking, objectivity in the media have been flushed down the toilet, we are entering an age of diversion and censorship.

I’m not trying to censor anyone and I don’t need the media to determine if someone is trying to fraudulently attempt to steal the election by filing frivolous court cases, the courts are firmly behind my reasoning, which is evidenced in their rulings which you apparently aren’t reading and none of your posts so far indicate that you are. You keep making broad claims without anything to back up your assertions.

From what I can tell, you have no standards when it comes to your ability to reason. My conclusions aren't solely based on what I’m seeing in the media, I’m reading the decisions that are attached to the court's rejection, and using basic standards of reasoning. Trump’s team has never provided a viable rationale for the court to offer the drastic relief they are seeking. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. If you want the courts to disenfranchise millions of voters you are going to have to present an ironclad case, Trump’s, “elite strike force” hasn’t come close to doing that.

You are unable to tolerate an opinion that simply asks that the courts be able to look at evidence presented. You are too stupid to realize that you, and I, have no access to the evidence. So, you parade a cause that the state media has taken on full speed ahead... that using legitimate forms of redress, might hurt a transfer of power.

There is no evidence of this, and if the tactics become simply a means to stall, I don't see it... each state can certify the election results and seem to be. And if we, as the nation we purport to be, cannot handle this process, we have bigger problems.

I can tolerate your opinion just fine I just don’t happen to agree with you, which isn’t a crime as far as I can tell. I’m going based on the opinions of the courts, which at least I’m reading, not sure what you’re doing except trying to present yourself as a damsel in distress. Ha, you say I’m stupid? You’re funny, I’m going based on the evidence and the rulings that have come as a result. Why would a competent legal team withhold their most compelling evidence after being laughed out of court, and why would you be waiting for that? If anyone’s stupid/brain-damaged it’s truly you.

If Trump’s legal team is holding back more salient evidence, evidence, I should be dumbly waiting for as you apparently are, they’re even more incompetent than anyone could have dared dream. Yesterday was the time to put up or shut up, not tomorrow or the next day. Again, my thinking is based on current rulings, not non-existent fantasy evidence.

My opinions aren't based on "the media" or media personalities. The court rulings are literally part of the public record which anyone can see and have access to. You seriously sound like some kind of weirdo, really. Read the rulings.

An educated point of view is always welcome. Unfortunately Trumpers are completely void of “educated” as they are arguing for a truly fake President that does not understand the meaning of honesty.
