Who the hell cares about having a strong economy? It's better to be poor and preserve you national honor than be rich and end up like Germany or Sweden.

I couldn't care less about money as long as I can get the basic things I need. Back in socialist Eastern Europe we had everything we needed. Sports were valued highly, strong military, the national ideal was strong men who could defend their nation. There was a lot of solidarity among people. Maybe the economies weren't as effective but at the end of the day people got food on the table. So you wouldn't have useless trash like iphones, who cares?

We also had a healthy birth rate. Look at what happened after socialism was replaced:



Germany and Italy have horrible military btw. Socialist countries had a much stronger military. France and Britain have something resembling an army but the rest of Europe not really (bar Russia of course).

In the chart you posted, the major decline of the population was not low birth rates (although that is a problem) but the high immigration out of the former Soviet countries into the more prosperous western ones. I guess the millions of people who left en masse did not share your sentiment

Capitalism is a system of production based on private ownership of capital.

The Chinese government has a hand in everything.

The sheer amount of employment wouldn't be possible without direct government employment of millions of workers in construction.

China is also still unapologeticly Marxist, and socialist.

To say that China is un apologetically Marxist and socialist, while they have overwhelmingly the highest number of foreign based businesses, all of whom are allowed to operate on a market economy, is beyond an oxymoron.

Since the turn of the century all their state owned enterprises have gradually become privatized, that is the complete opposite of Marxism.
The Chinese today have one of the most freest market economies in the whole world, in many ways more so than the USA, because they have a fraction of the regulations.

The only thing remaining socialist about China today is the fact that they own all of the land as well as a good number of nationalized industries, but each year those industries increasingly become privatized, and I have a feeling it won't be long until the same starts happening with land.

Depending on who you ask China's economy is classified either as a Socialist Market Economy or as State Capitalism.

Either way you wanna call it, it involves a **** ton of direct government involvement that would be unprecedented in capitalist countries. Dishonest imo to not refer to it as a socialist economy.

LMAO "barely afford the food". You have no idea what life was like under those systems. Most people would prefer the benefits that they had back then. The implementation of capitalism in Eastern Europe has been a social disaster.

No of course communism was much better for Eastern Europe, especially after Stalins centralized planning left what was it 10 million Ukrainians to starve to death? Or how about sending millions of people to the gulags who were deemed as enemies of the state.

I can't judge Stalin for what he did, only God can judge him for that.

Communism was part of God's providence, a divine plan for Slavic people. It ultimately made us stronger.
