The elephant in the room is the aging populations in virtually all 'early developed' countries.

In the US, there is mass migration from Latin America.

In Japan, there is mass migration from 'overseas Japanese' (Nikkeijin), Chinese, Mongolians, Koreans, Phillipinos, other Asians, even Africans and others (you'll see African dudes at construction sites and stuff sometimes).

In Europe, the migrants come from the Middle East, South Asia, Northern Africa.

It's a pretty broad phenomenon. However, large employers certainly benefit from the cheap and docile labor, which provides some of the political cover for mass migration. Therefore, the precise nature of the policies visa-vis migration are as subject to political cronyism as everything else.

It's not all of Europe that is hellbent on destroying itself. Eastern European countries like Poland, Hungry, Czech Republic have pushed back against the destructive EU polices governing migration. Also, Austria looks like its pushing back as well.

This is actually false and is a myth being perpetrated by EU leaders. There is high employment in Greece, Italy, Spain and especially 'youth unemployment.' These unemployed are relatively skilled, often times multi-lingual, are legal EU workers and share European values. So, why not tap this labor force? Why bring in unskilled individuals who don't speak the language and who may or may not share the same European values?

I think you misunderstood my post, or else you misunderstand the logic of what I said.

It's no myth perpetrated by the EU leadership, it is a typical phenomenon.

It is like how farmers and meat packing plants, etc., in the US, depend on (to a fair degree ) illegal immigrant labor.

Despite the actual myths about it, they could find people to fill these roles if they paid more, but the reality is, they benefit from the cheap and docile labor.

A myth is that capitalists oppose illegal immigration. They a benefactors of it--not just for the direct labor, but also for the lower of labor standards.

This is the side of the story which is not discussed in official communicades, but which is a part of the story, undeniably.
