USA has a military budget of 800 billion, a lot of money ear marked for Ukraine and other places is factored in already in regards to our spending. We never grant money or aid if we A. cannot afford it, or B. if its not in our short or long term best interest.

Money approved for war in order for us to achieve strategic objectives almost always helps our nation. What happens abroad in in far away lands has ripple effects for us. Imagine if US didn't have numerous military bases all over the world, and didn't control the world economy, our standard of living would plummet. There is a reason say a place like Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan thrives and sends us cheap consumer goods that allows our people to have a high standard of living, and that is because we are protecting them from China or any other threat that could attack them and take their resources and therefore disrupt our preferable trade and negatively affect our economy and standard of living.

I definitely wish for you to be right. I'm pro-west and in no way a Putin sympathizer I'm just questioning if we're really doing the right thing here.
