replied to Tough to justify a new car
I was in Hawaii last month and the rental place gave me a 2019 Charger.

My car is paid off. And if I was to get a vehicle a truck would be more practical.

But maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. Man oh man, was it sweet to tear across the island in that Charger.

  • Other points to consider:

-Winning a world title in only his third fight
-Only 4 of his fights were not world title fights.

"what separates him and his body of work at 126 - 135 from his contemporaries"

Look at his resume - there are only a couple...

  • I don't think Kambosis wins, but if Lomachenko has indeed lost (another) step since the Haney fight, we will be in for a hell of a good fight....

  • Activated Charcoal. Its over the counter pill. Google it. Get a friend or Doordash or whoever to bring it to you immediately. It absorbs the bad stuff and gets it passed through you in no time.

I keep it stocked and never go on trips without it.

    God be with you....

  • What's Goin' On is the best bassline ever put to tape IMO. This isolated version makes me tear up just to listen to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYdlXn5YbT8

I love the bass playing in stuff like Hall & Oates, Sade, The Stone Roses, Journey, etc.

    I gig with these: fretless...

  • Could be GBP, could be Zepeda's manager, but this one isn't really hard.....

Stevenson is a nightmare for anyone and isn't a big draw. There's not a lot of money in fighting him and you are guaranteed to lose.

Of course Zepeda's not gonna take that fight.

  • Uh.

Ugas was at 140 and losing to nobodies up until the time Floyd retired.

And no one on the planet had heard Jeff Horn's name until Arum announced Pacquiao was fighting him. Pacquiao's team had no idea who he was.

If Floyd had fought an unheard...

  • Carnera was an oaf whose fights were fixed. They played reels of Max Bear wrecking him in movie theaters for laughs.

Wilder took up boxing in his twenties and became a heavyweight champion. He took part of what's considered one of the best heavyweight fights of the era in Tyson-Wilder III....

  • This is the kind of question where people post whatever fantasies suit them.

Floyd and Manny fought. Floyd won.

  • Who said he had a lot of fans?

We said Canelo was aggressively ducking him. Which he is.

How many PPVs has Berlanga sold?

That's more people than were in attendance at Cowboys Stadium for Pacquiao-Margarito.

He doesn't need to do anything.

  • People say that because it's universally accepted that he wasn't just past his prime - he was completely shot.

That's not just a retrospective opinion - Pac was a favorite to win the fight. Pacquiao had already beaten Barrera and got by Marquez - he was expected to walk through Morales....

  • Morales would be a nightmare for Inoue - Morales by stoppage. Easy pick.
