harvard.edu makes you logon in order to read their reports (I hate that). The thing about all health food supplements is that the industry lobbied government a long time ago to enable them to not have to list ingredients of anything as long as they use the term "Proprietary Blend" (a loop hole they created) on the the label so you really never know what you are buying. Too much protein is very hard on your kidneys...that's for sure. Also acids burn tissue...and over acidifying your body (amino acids) causes further inflammation to inflamed tissue. You can buy bulk amino acids (I once did looking to save money) thinking I'd just mix it up and drink it. That's when you realize how strong an acid it is. It's not possible to do what I thought I would do and luckily was able to return it. You'd have to cap it...but just trying what I did makes you realize what you are putting into your body.

You go ahead and eat a burger right after a workout then. Then rest of us will have a shake and laugh at goofs like you who are obsessed with what other people are doing.

I've gone with and without post workout shakes and recovery is so much better with them.

Sure you do. Lol. Which is why you spammed this thread. Why you neg repped my post. Why you're raging angry. All because no one believes or listens to you.

You know who else gets loud, repeats themselves, and throws a tantrum when they feel like they're not being heard? Children.

There was a time when I consumed massive amounts of of protein powder. Then one day a huge bodybuilder who told me he used to do the same and when he stopped doing so nothing changed. It probably took me a few more years before I'd put what he said to the test and found the same to be true. I have been training regularly for the last 25 years (and off and on for even longer). I gave up protein powder about 15-20 years ago...just high quality food and reached my peak strength and size some years after I stopped using it. I've literally pissed enough protein down the toilet to have bought a very decent used car. Lou Ferrigno ate 150 grams of protein at 270 pounds... no protein powder, although he was paid to endorse it (at least that's the story I keep reading on sites like https://g-plans.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html). Protein powder is a huge money maker for the industry and really hyped. It's an acceptable substitute if you can't get a proper meal in once in a while for whatever reason, but personally I don't think it's necessary. I remember once watching a Hodgson twins video where one of the brothers is referencing how in prison there are some really big guys and he said "Do you think he's taking branch chain amino acids in prison? He's eating really crappy cheap food". Stop and think about that for a minute.
Yes, switching to ISOPure is a good idea if you're aiming to gain lean muscle. Whey isolate has more protein and less fat, carbs, and lactose than concentrate, making it a cleaner option.
