but methionine is found in breast milk at a very slightly lesser rate than cows milk and an average baby consumes 750 ml of breast milk a day??

so you are saying that 1,000's of years evolution is wrong and that we have been giving baby's cancer all this time?

The point everyone is making is that statistics and papers and documents can be produced to make you come up to what ever conclusion you want. For every one case of one argument their is always a counter argument

I don't think you understand science. A scientific consensus is reached when the overwhelming majority (almost unanimous) amount of experiments lead to the same result. Scientists conduct experiments over and over and over before they even publish findings. Then, other scientists replicate the experiment and do it over and over and over. This process is repeated many times and several studies are conducted.

There could be a study that says carrots cause cancer. While everything could have been done right in the experiment and the results suggest that, it doesn't mean that is scientific fact. Not unless many many many scientists were doing the same thing and coming to the same conclusion EVERY time.

Bottom line, if Milk and meat (beef, chicken, fish) cancer and was killing people regardless of how much you eat or drink then it would be all over the news. No some armpit of a study.

Dafuq are you talking about? In 2015 the WHO put meat, as an type 2 carsinogen, in the same categoryas cigarettes.
This was a conclusion after summarizing the results of hundreds of studies.

We KNOW for a fact that dietary Cholesterol raises your serum Cholesterol level which leads to building of plagues and ultimately to heart disease.
Even the study you referenced agrees upon the Cholesterol thing.

            Methionine is a essential nutrient.

Overconsumption is associated with cancer cell growth.

According to this daily recommended methionine intake of small kids is ~7mg/kg.

Breast milk has <0.01g per 28g

There you have it. No problem for babies to overconsume methionine via breast milk.

              Wrong.

              http://www.who.int/features/qa/cancer-red-meat/en/

              7. Red meat was classified as Group 2A, probably carcinogenic to humans. What does this mean exactly?

"In the case of red meat, the classification is based on limited evidence from epidemiological studies showing positive associations between eating red meat and developing colorectal cancer as well as strong mechanistic evidence."

              Cholesterol doesn't cause plagues.

Red meat contains cholesterol. This is a fact. It is also a fact that we need cholesterol from our diet to live.

What amount of red meat do you believe is too much ie causes health problems. Is once a week too much, 3x per week? What?

I don't think anyone will argue against processed meat being bad for you. Unless they work in a deli or some ****.

A recent study linked being tall with Prostate Cancer. Just saying.Population studies that don't prove a cause and effect must be taken with a grain of salt.

The first rule of toxicology is the dose makes the poison.

Anything in a high enough dose will kill you and anything in a small enough dose will be perfectly safe, so you can't straight out say this is bad for you and this is good for you.

You have to clarify how much and in what context. Drinking a gallon of milk a day isn't going to be great for you but having a glass or two is probably fine.
