Is the high fructose content of a fruit smoothie bad for you even if you have an intense workout after drinking one?

No. No one ever became fat or unhealthy from eating too much fruit.

A fruitarian diet is not recommended by doctors.

"First of all, the fruitarian diet can lead to, like, severe issues," Kutcher told USA Today. "I went to the hospital like two days before we started shooting the movie. I was like doubled over in pain. My pancreas levels were completely out of whack. It was really terrifying ***8230; considering everything."

Is it because of the lack of variety of nutrients or the high fructose content?

Whoa, I didn't say to become a fruitarian.

But eating a ton of fruit or slamming down fruit smoothies isn't going to do you harm, it's actually healthy for you. As long as you also eat veggies and protein as part of a balanced diet.

              Thanks for the advice.

I must say I have been amazingly energised by drinking fruit smoothies. I sometimes drink some during my workout.

you could definitely eat too much sugar if you're blasting through a ton of super sugary fruits and sitting around, but it doesn't sound like you're doing that.

a fruit smoothie is almost always a good thing. aside from the sugar, fruits are rich in other nutrients

of course, genetic variation plays a role. some fruit eaters are bigger than others. you know what sit around all day eating fruit? gorillas

I would recommend adding some vegetables and/or some leafy greens, such as kale or spinach, into your fruit smoothies.

This doctor is not a fan of fruit smoothies.
