How do you ensure a sufficient level of protein intake on a vegan diet? There's only so much beans and nuts you can eat.

But, any assortment of plant foods provides about 30 to 40 grams of protein per 1000 calories.

A cup of frozen peas has 9 grams. A cup of lentils has 16. A cup of broccoli has around 6 grams. A cup of tofu has 18.

Because the calories from veg is largely protein if you eat enough calories the protein naturally takes care of itself.

The majority of the time I eat a vegan diet, but because it's not an ethical thing with me, I'm not adverse to eating the odd animal now and again. The only issue that I have with that, is sometimes my discipline will slip if I do and I'll find myself thinking: "There's no reason why I can't have a full English breakfast. . . I could have a pizza. . . a curry isn't gonna do any harm!"

I tend to have a pattern of going about four months and then my discipline will slip for a couple of weeks before I pull it back in line.

Fair play Bradley is a machine, but you never know how much is this specific nutrition plan or insane work ethic/genetics.

                1/2 cup unfiltered apple juice
1/2 cup coconut water (cuts sugar instead of using all juice, and has electrolytes from potassium)
                1/4 cup frozen blueberries
                1/4 cup frozen raspberries
                1/4 cup frozen diced strawberries
                1/2 medium frozen banana
1/2 cup greek yogurt which i freeze to help make smoothie thicker

                2 scoops of protein.

this is typically my post workout, which sends protein and fructose to the muscles for recovery.

Don't know what the measurements are in UK system so I do apologize.

Thanks for the reminder, I wanted to get one of these smoothie machines. Makes it dead easy to consume lots of fruits and veggies, even combined at the same time.

I use a Nutribullet. Works great and isn't too expensive.

Do they make them big enough to put everything in or do you grind everything in stages? I ended up buying one of those hand operated milk shake mixers and use a huge cup...
