They drop the baby weight and i keep the shi t. How is that fair?
Anyway, it's just intimidating that I consider 6 miles a fairly long trek and some guys do that and THEN some. I just can't imagine a full blown marathon...sounds like the kind of thing that leaves your whole body aching the next day.
Anyway, today I ran 6 miles in 1 hour and 12 minutes. Blah.
I took a 40 minute break, drank 2 glasses of water, and then TRIED to run back the whole way but stopped at the 3 mile mark. I walked the rest.
My legs are sore as hell. I wasn't fatigued or breathing heavily, my legs gave out. They're unbelievably sore.
I'll be back on Sunday because my legs are gonna' definitely need to rest tomorrow.

I'm not in that good shape at the moment. Haven't run anything over 4 miles yet. Last sunday I ran 3 miles in 26 minutes. I'm gonna try and run more and increase my mileage and then I figure I'll start running better times. Back when I was in better shape I ran a 10k in 45 mins. I'd like to improve on that.

What's more effective for getting your times up on say a 10k? The guy i know who does iron mans trains 1 hr a day then for 6 hrs once on the weekend. Im trying to find put exactly what he does in that hr that preps him for an 8 hr race.
He's told me "interval training and some other stuff" so far.
Im gonna see him today and try and get more info.
