I'm fighting oct 14th I know it's close to change things up so I'm not for this fight, but I gave bad knees and I heard swimming was good. I run 6 miles a day I fight at 135-140. I know some others like klitchkos do it and Roger mayweather told me he used to to in Texas at one of his camps

But what can I do I have an olympic sized pool at my disposal what workouts are there in the pool besides just laps to help my lungs or any help would be awesome thanks I live in Tampa area fl so weather is always good all help is appreciated

There's not a lot of arguing with the idea that swimming is a good conditioning tool. Especially if you have bad knees or other joints/problem areas. But, swimming does not build the anabolic/explosive power base that running does. The impact/transfer of motion that running provides builds muscles and fibers differently than the aerobic, low impact exercise of swimming. If you are looking for a way strictly to maintain your aerobic threshold (or even exceed it), then hit the pool. But, switch up some kind of workout as needed - e.g. - spend longer with the jump rope, some box jumps, toe touches, whatever.

I wouldn't stop running completley as this helps you move your legs in fights. 2 runs and 2 swims a week is ggod but swimming is a very good alternative!
