Not everyone can look like a Klitchko, they just can't. I guarantee if Arreola trained his ass off, ate nothing broccoli he still wouldn't look like that. A lot of it has to do with genetics.

Diet is very important and I always say if your not going to work out, at least eat healthy. You can't eat like **** and work out thinking your reversing the damage done to your body.
Nah I dont agree... he may not be able to do it in a month... but after a year or two, of nothing but healthy foods throughout the day and a lot of exercise, he would slim right down.

But we saw right on tv what he does when he leaves the gym... his own trainer said it himself... he thinks training is JUST the gym.

I think recently hes been eating better, is so he said in an interview, and he looked even slimmer in his most recent fight.

He isnt a fat slob because he eats healthy... hes a fat slob because he eats burritos everyday.

You misunderstood me, I didn't say he wouldn't slim down, I said he would never look like a Klitchko.

Genetics means a lot man, look a Juan Diaz, you can't tell me he doesn't work his ass off in the gym and eats great. Yet he always has that "baby fat" on him he can't get rid of.

Of course Arreola can slim down and do the right thing, I'm just saying that a lot of people think that only people with washboard abs are in shape, that's not true.

well for keeping in shape maybe 50/50 tops. but to be a good boxer you need lighting fast reflexes, amazing technice, a tactical mind and mosts importantly the mental mindset to suceed. these arent helped by diet...

??????????? really so you think there's no connection with weight and speed? hahaha

Diet and what shape you are in mean EVERYTHING to an athlete, no matter the sport. If you feel good, you perform good and that includes your mind. You can't be confident if you don't think you are 100% physically, everything is connected, mind, body and soul......

Genetics plays apart where people that have great genetics dont have to do anything and can eat whatever and have a 6 pack.. like my 40 year old uncle.

If you dont have great genetics you just have to eat healthy and workout.

And I dont know what Juan Diaz eats, I am sure there are different things he can do to lose some of that if he really wanted too, but I dont think he needs to, to make the weight.

He isnt trying to have the physique of Bradley, he is just trying to be in great shape and make weight... if his goal was physique I have no doubt that with the right training and diet he could do it.

They really go hand in hand. You could work out great but eat like ****, you would be pretty flabby but in good shape to an extent. You could also eat great and never work out, you might have a six pack and defined muscles (or lack thereof), but not be very strong or have good endurance.

When you plan on getting in shape you should have a diet that works with your routine.

Its surprisingly easy to play with your weight and change your body to how you want it. As long as you have a planned out diet where u meet the nutritional requirements. It really goes as far as just knowing your body diet wise and workout, cause all of our bodies respond differently to those factors.

Nope, I cannot agree with what you've said here. Arreola could get into great shape and get ripped.. From what I've seen of Arreola, I think his diet isn't to good. OK, some can get away with diet more than others and sure Arreola is one of the unlucky ones who cannot get away it - He is what he eats by looking at his appearance . But that is no excuse for his excess BF he carries into fights.

It really is down to yourself and how disciplined you are towards dieting. If you have a good diet + work hard in the gym, you're see a big difference.

Seriously now, junk food is criminal for any athlete.

You guys are completely wrong and you can ask any pro bodybuilder that. There are guys that are blessed genetically, someone like Arnold Schwarzenegger were os genetically blessed, other body builders could never achieve his physique even with steroid use.

Another example is Dwayne Johnson , you know the "Rock". He said in a recent interview that because of his Samoan genetics, he could never lose the fat from under his chest and had lyposuction to get it out.

Guys like Juan Diaz, Arreola can get into much better shape, but genetics play a huge part in it. Arreola doesn't need to be "ripped: to be in good shape. If he comes in at 230lbs, he would be in the best shape of his life and I guarantee you he wouldn't be ripped at that weight, not even close.

Nobody said he had to be ripped to be in good shape, and you just pulled 230 out of nowhere for whatever reason.

I am telling you that with enough diet and the right training and enough time.. Arreola absolutely could have a great physique... He just cant get it as easily as others... But he absolutely could get it if he took all the necessary steps to achieve it.

Way to waive the almighty "you guys are all wrong and im right" schtick.
